  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are we our brother's keeper - (Israel - Hamas Conflict)

I find myself fascinated by the recent Israel-Hamas conflict. Truth be told I'm pretty much indifferent to the causes of both sides. My fascination isn't stemmed from any sense of injustice or act of terror but rather the responses exhibited by the individual non-participants.

Before I continue, let me set some baselines. First is yes I'm appalled by terror committed by Hamas. Second is yes I'm equally appalled by the indiscriminate retaliation by the IDF. However that is only due to the suffering of innocents not the causes that led to them. For myself the feeling of sympathy for the innocents is only momentary. Somewhere deep in my subconscious I always hear my most prominent thought: Both sides deserve each other. They have seeded their own demise with each act of revenge hidden behind a thin veil of moral sanctification. Crying foul when the very seed they so carefully nurtured bloomed.

With that out of the way, I would like to understand the compulsion of those who would throw their support for one side or the other. I use to be such a person mainly due to religious kinship. A one sided kinship. But for me as I grew, I learnt that such sense of personal kinship is derived solely from the affection of Biblically history. The side that I use to support had the "Main Character" label. This realisation didn't flipped me to unwavering support for the other either. The same realisation that severed my false kinship to one side also protected me from forming another false kinship with the other. Now I see both sides for who they are.

My type of experience I suspect might be the largest contributor to other individuals throwing their support for either sides in this conflict. However that couldn't be the only reason. Statically at least it shouldn't be the only reason (religious/ethnic kinship). I'm slightly inclined to say morality as another reason. Seeing as both sides have their own moral failings I would gander that those who's reason morality would feel hypocritical and support neither. Politics might be a good reason but that in itself makes little sense unless the specific political gain is expressed. If I support Israel or Palestinian politically what do I gain? The nation might gain something - quid pro quo. What does the individual gain politically?

Lastly why are people so insistent in supporting? Are we by our very nature compelled to support? "Am I my bother's keeper?"

Question 4 Catholics: What is going on in side the RCC with the Pope.

I came across a video by some Big Catholic official Denouncing Bishop Francis. Calling him an Apostate and a Heretic, WOW!!!! As a non-catholic outsider, I find this very interesting. The internal drama of different churches is fascinating, the Methodist Drama, The SDA Drama, and the Scientology drama are all amazing. The Catholic church drama is equally amazing.

Now, the bishop was talking about irregularities in the election of Pope Francis. That his election was illegitimate, implying it was fraudulent. He also states that Francis was trying to "destroy the church" "Hi a a Bergolio I am here to destroy the church vote for me". Those are some pretty hard statements. What is this about? What are the issues? What is the big deal with the TLM. Why does that matter?

Existing for Zero Seconds

Is it possible to exist for zero seconds? It might seem impossible, but if we look at it mathematically, it seems very plausible.

If it was impossible, it would also mean it is impossible for time as well. Which would make time impossible, because time cannot exist for more than zero seconds.

Let's suppose that time is 1 seconds. It cannot be 1 second for let's say .25 seconds more. Because, it requires 0.25 seconds passing and time still being 1 seconds.

One democratic competitor leaves, another one enters...

Cenk Uygur, the creator of the progressive news commentary show The Young Turks, announced Wednesday he’s running for president as a Democrat in a long shot effort of defeating President Joe Biden, whom Uygur said in an announcement would lose the presidential election.

Uygur, who called himself a “break glass in case of emergency” candidate, said Biden needs to quit the presidential race because he “has at best a 10% chance of winning” against former President Donald Trump.

Uygur is running as a “proxy” candidate for Democratic challengers to Biden, saying the sitting president would be a villain if he continues to run for president and loses.

Uygur, a naturalized citizen who immigrated from Turkey to the U.S. in 1978, believed the natural born citizen requirement needed to run for president wouldn’t disqualify him, saying a dispute over matter would reach the Supreme Court, according to Semafor.

Alternate articles on the matter:

With RFK out of the way (on the Democrat side), Cenk could pose a more unique kind of challenge to Biden, as many of the talking points used to smear RFK (by left leaning media outlets) wouldn't be able to be used against Cenk, as he outflanks Biden on the left on almost everything.

And the guy does have a certain level of reach. The online media network gets 200 million views per month, the flagship show "The Young Turks" has 4.7 million subscribers, and across all their shows, collectively, they have 12 million subscribers.

And I haven't ruled the possibility that this isn't a serious bid, but rather something of a strongarm tactic to push Biden further left (or perhaps stir up dissent among younger democrats and make them demand the party put up someone other than Biden)

And what retort would Biden supporters have?
Can't call him an anti-vaxxer
Can't call him a conspiracy theorist
He's relatively scandal-free as far as I'm aware
Can't play up the "you weren't born here" angle, as that would come across as xenophobic to a lot of the younger democrats.

Anyone who's watched him headline numerous PolitiCon events knows that he's a strong debater (apart from a few rhetorical crutches he's known for...yelling "of course!" comes to mind lol), and could easily top both Trump and Biden in a debate environment.

He's pretty progressive on most things, but has a few positions that stray from the herd that may be able to snag some independent voters.

I find the situation to be quite interesting.

Joel 3

With everything going on between Israel and Palestine as well as a ring of fire eclipse coming during a new moon, I wonder if we are possible seeing Joel 3 fulfilled before our eyes. I’ll post a few verses instead of the whole chapter, so that I’m not belaboring the point.

““In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. They cast lots for my people and traded boys for prostitutes; they sold girls for wine to drink. “Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations on every side. Swing the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, trample the grapes, for the winepress is full and the vats overflow— so great is their wickedness!” Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine. The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.”

AND WHAT DOES THE WORD REPENTANCE MEAN TO ISRAEL AND THE BODY OF CHTIST ?

What does REPENTANCE mean to us and is it for the BODY of CHRIST or is it for ISRAEL ?

REPENTANCE / METANOEO is just like the GREEK for BAPTISM / BAPTISO as to what is meaning in every CONTEXT .

In Acts 2:38 , treads , and Peter declared to them ( verses 36 and 37 ) REPENT and let each of you be BAPTIZED in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the FORGIVENESS of SINS ,

In 2 Cor 7:10 reads For the sorrow according to God works out a REPENTANCE into the Joy of salvation not regretted of , but the sorrow of the world works out death .

I say that REPENTANCE is used for Israel ?

Ever notice that GENTILES do not a similar verse , Acts 2:38 for GENTILES ?

Your thoughts ?/

The Ten Horns of Revelation 17’s Beast

I believe the global jihad is the image of the beast of Revelation 13, the ten horns of Revelation 17’s beast.

The beast’s ten horns, as shown in Daniel 2’a images as toes of clay and iron mixed together, are the residue of the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire moved to Constantinople in the 4th Century CE. In 1453, the Ottoman Empire took control most of the Roman Territory and labeled their leader Kaiser-I-Rum (Caesar of Rome). That empire collapsed in 1917, whereby territories were partitioned and eventually became independent. Those kingdoms operate on the united front as Islamist states, although they don’t all agree on religious authority, as if they were a spiritual image of the Roman Empire. I believe this is the image John saw in Revelation 13, the image that spoke and condemned people to death if they refused to recant of their religion and take on the religion of the false prophet.

Trump Claims Obama is Running Things

Biden's not showing any signs of senility, and so Obama must be in charge!

Trump dips into internet conspiracy theories with his latest lines about Obama

Former President Donald Trump has been insinuating for weeks that former President Barack Obama is secretly still in control of the White House. On Monday in New Hampshire, he explicitly said it. “It’s never been worse than it is now under crooked Joe Biden and, frankly, his boss, Barack Hussein Obama,” Trump told a crowd of hundreds at a campaign stop. “I think it’s his boss.”

“I don’t believe he’s smart enough to be doing this stuff,” Trump said about Biden at an Iowa campaign stop on Oct. 1. “I believe it’s the people that are surrounding him,” he said, alluding to the idea that other decision-makers are operating in the background. Less than a week later, Trump implied that Biden was not really the president as he discussed then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s handling of budget negotiations.

“I don't ever think he knows what's going on,” Trump said of Biden in an interview with the conservative political commentator John Solomon. “I said Kevin … I think this is the president’s, whoever the president is, it’s not yours,” he said, recalling a conversation he said he had with McCarthy about who should be taking responsibility for budget negotiations. On Monday, Trump seemed to answer his own question. Suggesting the possibility of a third world war at his Wolfeboro campaign event, he said, “This is obliteration, and Obama has plenty to do with it.”

“Obama has plenty to deal with. I call him, I call him Biden’s boss,” he said.

The one responsible for the attack on Israel from Gaza - Mohammed Dief, One Eyed Man

I'm comparing the eschatology of Islam and Christianity here. They seem linked in a sense.

Christ warns that there will be many false Christs in the end times. In Islam eschatology, they mention two of them. One is the dajjal. In short, the person who masterminded the attack on Israel as of late is eerily siimilar to the description found in the Islam Eschatology of dajjal, again, the false Christ, since his name is Mohammed and he has one eye.

This could be a foreshadow.

There are videos on YT prepping Christians and Islam folks to be on the lookout for a guy named Mohammed with one eye, who is a good military leader and rules for a time. As a Christian, it could let us know the end times of Islam might be kicking in, which is a huge sign Revelation might be as well.

This guy is the most wanted person in Israel and get this - the one who is worshipped as a god from other muslims near him, apparently.

The same person who could literally have unleashed, certainly at least the seeds, of the prophesized, theoretical end times Jihad from Muslims against Christians mentioned in the book of Revelation.

1. It is a theory, but a good one, those persecuting the Christians are the Islams. A lot of people claim Gog is Russia, but a lot of sense and many bible scholars like Michael Heisler consider it to be Turkey - thus pointing perhaps the army of the AC to be this group associated with Turkey, to be perhaps the head or power of Islam, even though Iran and Saudia Arabia also vye for that claim.

2. Yes, his name is Mohommaed, which is from the Quran, and he is missing an eye, BOTH of these are taken from the Quran AND NOT the bible - be clear.

To make more sense of this and where I got the idea, watch these two videos. One explains who the Dajjal is from a Christian and islam eschatology perspective of the end times prophecy.

This video explains Dajjal.

This video I came across today of the guy who planned the attack of Israel and was floored to see how this lines up.

THESE ARE ALL THEORIES. I'll live it up to wiser folks to make the distinction. May God keep me from any sin of presumption.

Know this - Jesus is the only true way. The eschatology of Islam literally takes much of the events of Revelation and twists it and turns it, so in a way, their end times mirrors the book of Revelation in Christianity, only The bad guy from the bible is the good guy in Islam. It's crazy - This is another theory.

If I understand it right, this guys, a potential foreshadow of the dajjal, is/will NOT ne the AC or the false prophet, but the one who may introduce both. In fact, to this day, I kind of get confused who’s who. Ill try to clear it up.

Okay, so the theory goes, The false prophet is whom Islam calls Isa M. (don’t want to spell it out for respect to the Lord), its Islams false Christ they will try to convince the world is the real Christ by defeating the Islams false false Christ, and the AC is the Mahdi. Do you see how it is tricky.

The bible says there will be many false Christs. In Islam, there are atleast two false Christ. The Dajaal, who is defeated by the other false Christ Islam says is the real one, who points to the Mahdi as the true Messiah, or whatever term they use.

So the Dajjal sets the stage, who claims to be Jesus, but a false one in Islam and the Mahdi (the AC)

This is likely a false alarm, foreshadow of the true Dajjal, but considering the significance of the attack, there is an uncanny foreshadowing of potential future events.

I don’t believe Islam prophecy is true prophecy, but a copy and mimic that will be orchestrated by Satan. The bible is clear, only the one true God knows the end of all things, and can thus prophesy.

Please do your own study and diligence hear and use your own discernment and please share your wisdom if you have it.

How Long Will It Take For The Sheeple(People) In America To Wake Up To Illusion And Farce OF The Two Party System In America?

It’s as laughable as professional wrestling. The “right” and the “left”, they ACT(because great ACTORS are what they are) like diametrically opposed enemies on TV to fool the masses, but behind the scenes they are working hand in hand together to bring about the same corrupt and evil agenda of the Roman/Babylonian Beast(NWO).

You believe that you are living in a free democracy, and that you have sovereign constitutional rights.. and yet for the past 3 1/2 years corporations have been allowed by the government/state to issue mandates against many peoples’ wills. That is not a democracy or a “republic”(which is what America is originally supposed to be), but is straight up Fascism being exercised against Americans who yet still believe they are free and living in a democracy lol. But the fact is that the original organic American constitution was changed into a corporate entity in 1871. So that all the sovereign rights and freedom we the people have been made to believe that we have, are in actuality for the corporations. And every since then the right and left political system that has been set up by the elite oligarchs/corporations has “subtly”, like the serpent in the garden, been chipping away at our freedoms through various and numerous policies stretched out through time until we will eventually and literally be slaves in physical chains. “There is no greater slavery than people who believe that they are free, and yet, are slaves”. The only thing that we have left standing in their way for a full totalitarian take over.. is faith in our GOD JESUS CHRIST, and our right to have and carry guns. And you best believe that they are doing everything in their power to silence the voices of the One through censorship and the loss of freedom of speech, and get rid of the other, our right to own and carry guns.

2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Galatians 2:16

Most translations of this text translate the clause highlighted below with bold emphasis as shown here from the KJV.

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

That is incorrect. It should be as these translations are. Do you see and understand the difference.

Gal 2:16 (YLT) having known also that a man is not declared righteous by works of law, if not through the faith of Jesus Christ, also we in Christ Jesus did believe, that we might be declared righteous by the faith of Christ, and not by works of law, wherefore declared righteous by works of law shall be no flesh.'
Gal 2:16 (CTOTNT) knowing that a man is not justified by works of law unless by means of a belief in Jesus Christ, even, we ourselves have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified for a belief in Christ and not for works of law; because for works of law no flesh can be justified.
Gal 2:16 (MLV) knowing that a man is not justified from the works of the law unless it is through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified from our faith in Christ and not from the works of the law: because from the works of the law no flesh will be justified.

Trump’s Net Worth Plunges $700 Million As Truth Social Flops

Trump has been left off the Forbes Rich List, again.

He is not happy about it:

“I hereby demand a full apology from the failing Forbes magazine,” the former president wrote on Wednesday on Truth Social, the reportedly struggling social media platform he set up after being expelled from mainstream platforms over the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
In response, Trump complained about “really dumb writers assigned to hit me hard” and bragged about huge leads in Republican presidential polling he holds despite facing 91 criminal charges and assorted civil threats.

Trump, as thin-skinned as usual, has defended himself by attacking the messenger, including personal attacks on journalists.

The Time of Jacob's Trouble (SDA) vs the Bible. EGW View

I was reviewing My SDA theology and the Time of Jacob's Trouble and the Sunday law came to mind. If SDA's are wrong on this what is the answer? Below is a description of the SDA view from the official ellen white answers page followed by the text of Scripture in Jeremiah 30. Notice the difference one is of personal struggle the other in speaking of the Nation.

Dear ____,

Thank you for calling the other day. Your question revealed to me that I was a bit fuzzy on these things myself, so I welcome the chance to clarify things for my own sake as well as yours.

In The Great Controversy, Mrs. White portrays the time of Jacob's trouble as coming after the close of probation, while the great tribulation is in full swing. It is a part of the tribulation that comes to God's people, but this part is not trouble from outside, but deep concern and earnestness over the completeness of our relationship to God.

A few years ago a new compilation was issued, called "Last Day Events." It brings together into one place and one coninuous narrative the issues that Adventists are interested in concerning the closing events. From that book I have copied a portion of the chapter on The Seven Last Plagues which includes the material on the Time of Jacob's Trouble. You will find it below my signature.

Perhaps this will be enough to answer your question. If not, feel free to get back in touch with me and I'll see if I can be of further service. Thank you for calling, and God bless.

Like the Time of Jacob's Trouble

A decree will finally be issued against those who hallow the Sabbath of the fourth commandment, 262 denouncing them as deserving of the severest punishment, and giving the people liberty, after a certain time, to put them to death. Romanism in the Old World, and apostate Protestantism in the New, will pursue a similar course toward those who honor all the divine precepts. The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress described by the prophet as the time of Jacob's trouble.--GC 615, 616 (1911). {LDE 261.4} To human sight it will appear that the people of God must soon seal their testimony with their blood, as did the martyrs before them. They themselves begin to fear that the Lord has left them to fall by the hand of their enemies. It is a time of fearful agony. Day and night they cry unto God for deliverance. . . . Like Jacob, all are wrestling with God. Their countenances express their internal struggle. Paleness sits upon every face. Yet they cease not their earnest intercession.--GC 630 (1911). {LDE 262.1} Jacob's experience during that night of wrestling and anguish represents the trial through which the people of God must pass just before Christ's second coming. The prophet Jeremiah, in holy vision looking down to this time, said, "We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. . . . All faces are turned into paleness. Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it" (Jer. 30:5-7).--PP 201 (1890). {LDE 262.2}

Notice: how Jeremiah talks about Isreal & Judah, Cities and lands, Nations and enemies nothing in the text sounds anything like EGW describes.

1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD: 2 “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Write in a book all the words that I have spoken to you. 3 For behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will restore from captivity My people Israel and Judah, declares the LORD. I will restore them to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.’ ”

4 These are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and Judah. 5 Yes, this is what the LORD says:

“A cry of panic is heard—
a cry of terror, not of peace.
6 Ask now, and see:
Can a male give birth?
Why then do I see every man
with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor
and every face turned pale?
7 How awful that day will be!
None will be like it!
It is the time of Jacob’s distress
but he will be saved out of it.
8 On that day,
declares the LORD of Hosts,
I will break the yoke off their necks
and tear off their bonds,
and no longer will strangers enslave them.
9 Instead, they will serve the LORD their God
and David their king,
whom I will raise up for them.
10 As for you, O Jacob My servant, do not be afraid,
declares the LORD,
and do not be dismayed,
O Israel.
For I will surely save you out of a distant place,
your descendants from the land of their captivity!
Jacob will return to quiet and ease,
with no one to make him afraid.

11 For I am with you to save you,
declares the LORD.
Though I will completely destroy all the nations to which I have scattered you,
I will not completely destroy you.
Yet I will discipline you justly,
and will by no means leave you unpunished.”
12For this is what the LORD says:
“Your injury is incurable;
your wound is grievous.
13 There is no one to plead your cause,
no remedy for your sores,
no recovery for you.
14 All your lovers have forgotten you;
they no longer seek you,
for I have struck you as an enemy would,
with the discipline of someone cruel,
because of your great iniquity
and your numerous sins.
15 Why do you cry out over your wound?
Your pain has no cure!
Because of your great iniquity
and your numerous sins
I have done these things to you.
16 Nevertheless, all who devour you will be devoured,
and all your adversaries—every one of them—
will go off into exile.
Those who plundered you will be plundered,
and all who raided you will be raided.
17 But I will restore your health and heal your wounds,
declares the LORD,
because they call you an outcast,
Zion, for whom no one cares.”
18This is what the LORD says:
“I will restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tents
and have compassion on his dwellings.
And the city will be rebuilt on her own ruins,
and the palace will stand in its rightful place.
19 Thanksgiving will proceed from them,
a sound of celebration.
I will multiply them, and they will not be decreased;
I will honor them, and they will not be belittled.
20 Their children will be as in days of old,
and their congregation will be established before Me;
and I will punish all their oppressors.
21 Their leader will be one of their own,
and their ruler will arise from their midst.
And I will bring him near, and he will approach Me,
for who would dare on his own to approach Me?”
declares the LORD.
22 “And you will be My people,
and I will be your God.”
23 Behold, the storm of the LORD
has gone out with fury,
a whirlwind swirling down
upon the heads of the wicked.
24 The fierce anger of the LORD will not turn back
until He has fully accomplished the purposes of His heart.
In the days to come
you will understand this.

In honor preferring…..

Romans 12:10 (KJV)
[Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What truth is being put forth with the words, ‘in honor preferring one another’……
With the added words ‘in honor’ they are meant to put the preferring that is to be done in its proper context by adding something to this preferring….. It puts this preferring as something more than just letting someone have their will.…
For ‘in honor’ means, ‘in view of that which is right’ or, still in other words, ‘standing strong in righteousness against unrighteousness wherever it might be found’…… For two things a believer is not, one is, one is not someone else’s savior and two, one is not someone else’s meal ticket…..But one is there to help another do right, for one can not do right for another, for each man stands or falls by one’s own doing of right.... For ‘in honor’ means standing in the gap for another to Christ but not to take the place of Christ…. For standing in righteousness to another is the greatest work, it itself being the greatest act of love one is capable of to another…. For until righteousness is sought after for its own sake, God’s will is not being done… For God’s will is always the righteous thing, the righteous thing being the only thing that will truly help another….
For only Christ truly being formed in another is helping another and since this work can not be done by man’s hand ‘in honor’ is meant to portray standing before Christ for the benefit of another… Directing another to Christ that Christ Himself might work His work in another… As painful and as hard it is to see another struggle one must let another struggle before Christ so that one might learn and grow and come to the realization that only in the doing of righteousness will God’s presence be found…
Believer, you need to come to your refuge, he is waiting for you to come.
信徒,你需要到你的避难所来,祂在等你来。
PSALM 29
诗篇29篇
9. The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
耶和华的声音惊动母鹿落胎,树木也脱落净光。凡在他殿中的,都称说他的荣耀。
RIGHT SPEAKING IN THE HOUSE OF GOD
在神的殿中正确说话
I want to concentrate on the second part of this verse.
我想着重在这节经文的第二部分。
God's temple or God's house is sacred, and indeed we need to careful when we come into God's house.
神的殿或神的家是神圣的,当我们进入神的殿时,应该需要小心谨慎。
Let me ask you and also me, this question: Do we speak of God's glory in God's temple?
让我问你也问我这个问题:我们在神的殿中谈论神的荣耀吗?
How often do we go into God's house and speak of anything other than his glory. We talk about the weather, we talk about sports, we talk about fashion.
我们有多少次进到神的殿里谈论其他事多过他的荣耀。我们谈论天气,运动,时尚。
When I go into church, sometimes I talk to my friends and that is good, but we need to get our priorities right, when we go into the house of God.
当我走进教堂时,有时我会和我的朋友交谈,这很好,但当我们进入上帝的殿时,我们需要把我们的优先事项弄清楚。
Let us give God glory every day, everywhere and especially in His house.
让我们每天,在任何地方,特别是在神的家里,都将荣耀归给神。
God bless you
上帝保佑你
Is there Hebrew Roots churches in Flagstaff AZ
I moved to Flagstaff AZ because I got teaching job at CCC. I found two churches that meet on Saturday (see 1 and 2 below), but I am not happy with either of them. I also found one more church (item 3) but apparently it moved from Flagstaff to Sacramento. So here is what I found:
1) Mountainview church, which is a mainstream Christian church that meets on Sunday, has a Messianic group that is affiliated with it and meets on Saturday. Even though Messianic group meets on Saturday and keeps Jewish feats, the fact that it is part of a Sunday church makes me question whether they are sincere about their Messianic beliefs. Now, I have been in the past to the Messianic churches that were simply renting the building of a Sunday church, and I was perfectly fine with that. But here they are not just renting the building. Here, they seem to be collaboration, with large number of people attending both Saturday and Sunday.
2) There is an Adventist church in Flagstaff. At least it is "better" than option 1 because its belief about Saturday Sabbath and dietary laws are sincere. However, Adventists don't observe the biblical feasts. So during the feasts that just passed, I was forced to go to option 1.
3) When I google messianic churches in Flagstaff I also found Beth Yeshua Messianic Congregation. But when I go on its website, it says it moved to Sacramento. I also asked about it to some people when I came to Option 1 church, and they told me they know what that church is, it actually used to use their building, and yes it moved. But now it is not even in Sacramento but at some other part of the country I don't remember. Apparently they didn't update their website.
So this brings me to asking you. Does anyone know any other Sabbaterian option in Flagstaff?
Senate Democrats revolt against Biden sending $6 billion to Iran
President Biden is facing a growing rebellion in his party over his $6 billion deal brokered this summer with Iran in exchange for the release of American prisoners.
At least eight Senate Democrats, nearly all of whom have tough races next year in competitive states, said the assets should remain frozen until more intelligence is gathered about whether Iran played a direct role — and to what degree — in the Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel.
Those Democrats included Sens. Joe Manchin III of West Virginia, Jon Tester of Montana, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin. Ms. Cortez Masto is the only one not up for reelection. Arizona Independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who caucuses with Democrats and is up for reelection but undecided if she’ll run, also said the money should be kept out of Iran‘s reach.
Was Jesus Being Sarcastic When He Stated Matt. 5:20?
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
There is no way that this verse can be taken in the sense that legalists are want to put it to support their doctrinal beliefs. For practically everything else that Jesus said to the Pharisees was completely contrary to such a declaration as this lol. Such as:
Mat 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Mat 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Mat 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Mat 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
Mat 23:30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
Mat 23:31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
Mat 23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Or maybe He had a certain respect for the intensity of their convictions and their unwavering devotion to what they believed was the truth, though from His point of view of Being God it was completely wrong and full of hypocrisy?
Or maybe He had such in mind as our beloved brother Paul when He made that statement, who would become the greatest apostle and evangelist for Christ this world has ever known? But that wasn’t because of Paul’s righteousness, but because of the Righteousness of Christ that was imputed by God into Paul’s account because he believed in Jesus, and was baptized into His Spirit.
