• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I shower and wear deodorant. I am a very hygienic person. How do I stop excessive sweating, especially at work?
You can't. This is how your body releases toxins and stress. No matter what the reason, it is good.
Be blessed.

Do you have a thyroid condition? Certain fabrics, like polyester, trap heat and can make you sweat more. You can have botox injections in your palms/underarms if you want to go down that route.....

It kind of depends on what is causing it as to what treatment there is for it, if that makes sense?

It also helps to run your wrists under cold water for 30sec - 1 min which will cool your internal temp down for at least half an hour.

Sorry you're suffering at work, that must be difficult.

Not on the sweating issue specifically, but kind of what @Aaron112 mentions, outside of the medical system.
We had a family member struggling for a long time, had some outside the box blood work done, found out had allergies to a lot of favorite foods. Doing much better since stopping them.

Prayers answered!

Chronic inflammation can increase your metabolism which raises your core temperature and make you sweat more.

You should have it looked at if you suspect Chronic inflammation because it can lead to major problems in the long term.

If you're a very physically active person and have a relatively large exercise workload, it can be a sign you might be exercising excessively and not giving your body enough rest time like take a day off from exercise to heal and repair. Over-training can also lead to chronic inflammation.
