That is from Faith on the Edge and is not what it means. The birds were Angels .The Kingdom of Darkness is not an imaginary fairy tale. Satan has spirits as servants and soldiers within these groups are specialists "Truth Stealing Birds" is a description of a type of demonic specialists that are able to remove the truth about God before it is fully imbedded in a person.
If you don't believe the OT but you believe the NT that's like walking in half truth. Jesus himself quoted scriptures or made refence to the OT. The OT itself predicted events such as the coming of the Messiah which took place in the NTWalking in Spirit alone? = Not truth?
I don't go to a temple. I am a temple.
When you are a temple, the Holy Spirit lives with you. You seek, it reveals. You are responsible to seek on your own, not by others. To not see this means lack of faith (in Spirit). To believe that we are misled. Jesus made a promise, I see it and follow it.
I place my faith in understanding Christ. I can read as well as "church leaders". If I am wrong, I can blame myself. Who do I blame if "church leaders" are wrong?
Paul says:
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
I see their idols. Maybe you don't. They idolize flesh.
Paul says:
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
So do you go where men say God is? Does this not bother you:
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
How do you know the will of the Father, when a man calls himself father? Ignorance. You see father and not Father. One physical one spiritual. Unless you hate the flesh, the spirit evades you.
When you understand spirit, you will hate the flesh and fleshly things. This is the Gospel.
There is the "church" (of men) and there is a closet. Which does Christ tell you to go to seek the will of the Father?
We don't follow Christs flesh. He hated his flesh. We follow his Word (Truth). He spoke spirit, not flesh.
I read that before I posted my reply simply disagree with him in regards to context but I think we are just gonna all have to beg to disagree on that I guess nothing else to sayYou've ripped these two verses out of context.
JackRT explains that here, so I'm not gonna rehash it:
Superstitious people
He didn't destroy all the wicked in Noah's time that's why the word wicked itself is mentioned post that time. Even post the time of people living for centuries if I remember right Noah died at the age of 950 right according to like Genesis 29 or so?If God destroyed all the wicked in Noah's time where did your imaginary wicked thing come from for only God hath immortality.
1 Samuel 2:6-7 6The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. 7The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. BUt of course if you conventionally choose to dismiss the whole OT to preserve a misconception of a soft Diety that doesn't apply. The OT is the stories of the liar and murderer. This god judged and murdered.
God the Father (of Jesus) neither judges nor murderers.
Leave this god behind, or you will suffer the fate of the Jews who followed him. Death.
Jesus revealed him. This god killed/kills his own.
When the Jews said God was their father, Jesus said:
John:
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
The Jews kill. Christians don't kill. They'd rather die, as they know the truth that death is life in Christ. We follow Christs example. The flesh profits NOTHING.
There is no indication whatsoever that Job is a parable... read a parable by Jesus there is always clarification somewhere that it's a parable or he ends with a biblical principle or the purpose of the parable. Job doesn't do that. Also who said God uses the devil? All he does is let him do so/so to a person as a test or punishment he doesn't. Jesus even says Satan it is writrennyou shall worship the Lord thy God and only him shalt thy serve. Even in revelations we see how Satan serves a purpose along with the false prophet.God does not use a satanic devil to carry out His plans, He uses his own Angels. Did you not read the accounts I gave you? God employed His own Angels just like in Job where He employs one of the Son's of God to test Job and the Angel açts as a prosecutor without any power other than to test Job. The whole book of Job is a parable and Job says that twice.

I see what's going on here and I hate to be the one to have to break this to you but you're gonna have to accept the fact that God isn't just love... he's Holy. And sometimes God has to deal with wickedness in order to restablish holiness and sometimes that involves death. And if you believe Gods only "mean" in the OT so taking the OT out Keeps him "soft" then read romans 1:16-28. Look first of all those laws were for humans not God but additionally clearly kill isn't universal in that context because Joshua for example killed people of the enemy and God even told him too. KIll as in just randomly kill a friend or alley but clearly when it came to enemies in the OT that was a different matter... think of it like you would think of soilders who fight for our lives in the military. Additionally, further past the do not kill commandment God clarifies the fact that do not kill isn't set in stone in context by pointing out how manslaughter is dealt will be dealt with differently among 6 refuge cities. There are many passages that speak of dealing with manslaughter but I find this one explains this best.Yep. As I said. Murderer.
Samuel
And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the Lord, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the Lord had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.
For looking in an ark. Soooooo physical.
Jesus Father never killed anyone. I would never follow a god who says "thou shalt not kill" then kills. He said don't lie also. And Jesus said he was a liar.
My deity loved the world so much, he allowed his son to be murdered by this god of ignorance.
Not one word in the OT glorifies the Father of the truth Jesus taught.
Also OT law was just more rough clearly and the period was more violent there were things like "an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth" so do not kill carried a lighter connotation as in do not kill just to be killing per say. But as we all know in the NT we had a new convenanet and things changed. Matthew 5:38-39 38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.Yep. As I said. Murderer.

The OT is gray. It is the time of angels. There is nothing to learn there.
What makes the Gospel incomplete is it's division by men. To give some truth over much truth. They could not do this alone.
Jesus was offered the world if he would just bend his knee to the deceiver. He refused.
The catholic ideology was offered the world if they would bow to Rome (Emperors). They did.
Catholic Orthodoxy became the world church.
I bow to my savior and his Father. He is called savior for a reason. Have at the OT and books that glorify it all you want. When the Catholics held the Gospel hostage (in Latin) for 800 years, it was the Dark Ages of man. The world church is the church of the world.
I do not subscribe to the teachings of the world. When you find Christ in the OT, let me know.
The body of christ is the churchThose are are one in mind and spirit with him.
Catholic.....Protestant....plenty of killing to go around for both.....I assume you are speaking of the men who followed the catholic ideology.
A Jew that taught ChristianityCatholic.....Protestant....plenty of killing to go around for both.....
...By the way, earlier, you said Jews kill, Christians don't......
Psssstt......Jesus was a Jew.....
...but a Jew nonetheless...and he didn't "teach" Christianity.A Jew that taught Christianity
.... well the gospels was the process salvation being brought to us through Christ , acts was that salvation coming to pass or in effect post his resurrection, and the epistles were teachings for Christians in churches full of saved people who experienced ... so logically that should be how it works out....but a Jew nonetheless...and he didn't "teach" Christianity.
Sadly, the great majority of Christian teachings today are gleaned from Paul's letters.
Yup......Jesus didn't teach Christianity..... well the gospels was the process salvation being brought to us through Christ , acts was that salvation coming to pass or in effect post his resurrection, and the epistles were teachings for Christians in churches full of saved people who experienced ... so logically that should be how it works out.
Well if the Spirit of Christ truly was in those who got filled hard to say he didn'tYup......Jesus didn't teach Christianity.
