..... not sure whats worse... walking in Spirit alone and not truth or relying on outside sources without spiritual discernment. LOok if the word was made flesh it's essential the word is the base... and outside sources uses as a support for the base... you can't equate an outside source with the word of God
Walking in Spirit alone? = Not truth?
I don't go to a temple. I am a temple.
When you are a temple, the Holy Spirit lives with you. You seek, it reveals. You are responsible to seek on your own, not by others. To not see this means lack of faith (in Spirit). To believe that we are misled. Jesus made a promise, I see it and follow it.
I place my faith in understanding Christ. I can read as well as "church leaders". If I am wrong, I can blame myself. Who do I blame if "church leaders" are wrong?
Paul says:
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for
ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
I see their idols. Maybe you don't. They idolize flesh.
Paul says:
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
So do you go where men say God is? Does this not bother you:
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
How do you know the will of the Father, when a man calls himself father? Ignorance. You see father and not Father. One physical one spiritual. Unless you hate the flesh, the spirit evades you.
When you understand spirit, you will hate the flesh and fleshly things. This is the Gospel.
There is the "church" (of men) and there is a closet. Which does Christ tell you to go to seek the will of the Father?
We don't follow Christs flesh. He hated his flesh. We follow his Word (Truth). He spoke spirit, not flesh.
