  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well you are getting closer to the truth now so you have no excuses Romans 1:18. Job 2:10 shall we receive good from the hand of God and shall we not receive evil from the hand of God. Job 27:2 Job says he was vexed by the Almighty and not by some unknown creature.

Job 1:

8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.

Devil metaphorically referred to as the brazen serpent was symbolical of the means of salvation offered by God, in Christ. The brazen serpent symbolized the bearing away of the curse and the judgement of sin; the metal itself figurative of the righteousness of God's judgement.
In Rv 12:9 the present participle is used in the definate article as a title of the devil which literally means, "the deceiver". Often it has a sense of deceiving oneself (like you do too) In Acts 17:18 it denotes an inferior pagan diety. Those, however who believed in God, the Almighty Creator, could not be seduced into accepting a dualism in principle (God and Devil; spirit and matter). [History of Dogma, Harnack] The ha-satan in Job is important to stress the subordinate position and the absence of all but desiginated power. No power of spiritual influence, but only over outward circumstances is attributed to ha-satan the adversary, acting only as the prosecutor.

Jude 1:3
I earnestly exhort you to contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints. Watch, stay awake, do not become like the other guys.

The adversary, one of the Sons of God, the Angel of God, came along with them.
Why do I know this? 1Timothy 6:16 Only God hath immortality and the one you call a devil in 1 John 3:8 says that disobedence is sin. What is the result of sin? Romans 4:3 the wages of sin is DEATH. So beware of seducing spirits and doctrines that teach demons. 1 Timothy 4:1

Your taking 27 and 29 out of context that was just Job giving a parable or speech to his "friends" in the story. JOb gave a series of "speeches in this portion of the book. This isn't suggesting the whole book is a story espsicully since the ending focuses on Job and his life again. One spot I suggest you read is Job 30:20-31 an example of Job describing his circumstances
Job 30:8 and who are these? Certainly not a devil that you imagine. They are children of fools of base men.
