  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Christian Living - Greatest Commandments - Royal Law - Law of Christ - Love

The Risen Christ mediated, new covenant believers reason to avoid ungodly living/sinning. Shouldn't done out of fear of punishments assessed in the old obsolete Mosaic/Sinai covenant law ordinances (Deut 28). The sin atoning death of our Lord/God & Savior Jesus the Christ. Fulfilled/PAID IN...

My wife loves me, but has never been in love with me

I've been married now for almost 19 years. Me and my wife were both pretty young when we got married at only 21 years old. Our marriage has been through some serious ups and downs over the years. I'll admit that the downs are largely my fault as I've not always been the type of man I wanted to...

    Some Really Good News

Impute Theology: Google ascribe (righteousness, guilt, etc.) to someone by virtue of a similar quality in another. "Christ's righteousness has been imputed to us" It's Christ's righteousness (Jer 23:6 & 33:16) imputed/transferred (Rom 4:3-8) onto us & our sins are imputed/transferred onto...

Faith alone is required for salvation & You're not under Mosaic law!

Ex 11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that "the LORD doth put a difference between the Nations and Israel". (MY NOTE: The LORD put a difference between all other 69 (Gen 10) Nations & Israel/His chosen...

    Ungodly Justified

Hello you and welcome: Will you please check out these verses. Romans 5: 1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: A person is justified by having faith on the Lord Jesus Christ. By believing and trusting in God and his promises he shares: You...

Must one have the help of Divine grace in order to love their neighbors as themselves?

On the one hand, it would seem grace is not necessary. The principle, ought implies can, suggest as much. If we are commanded to love our neighbors it seems would should be able to do so without special divine help. On the other hand, if we could fulfill the command without divine help, then...

    Worried and concerned

Hi, My relationship with Jesus isn’t the best. I’m worried because I don’t really feel emotions for Jesus. I’ve been Christian since start of may 2020. I don’t have a close relationship with Him. [Jesus]. I feel scared because I’m not close to Him. He scares me and I’m scared because He...

    Should Christians love themselves?

Maybe the answer is obvious. With some qualification, I certainly think Christians should love themselves. But the scriptures can be confusing on this account, and I think there is a long tradition of considering self-love as sinful (consider the doctrine of total depravity, or extreme...

    Can God bless us?

Good afternoon, This question may seem obvious or to certain points. After realizing that He does bless us with glory and salvation through His son Jesus Christ I wonder about more. Does God bless us with deeper meanings? Are we given a life with a plan full of His blessing? Does He continue...

    Not Cookie-Cutter Christianity

1 John 3:11-12 ESV “For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous.” The love...

Is love something we feel or something we do?

We can think of love in two general ways. 1. Love is involuntaristic: In this sense love is a passion, an emotion. As a passion it is not something I have control over. I feel love so long as the feeling is there, and when it is gone there is not much I can do. I can't simply manufacture the...

How can I live a Holy life for Jesus?

Hello everyone I am so scared right now. There was a video that I watched a long time ago. It was about a Korean girl who may have went to hell and she claimed to have seen people being tortured there. It sounds extremely gruesome and harsh to watch. I have seen some of it but I didn't actually...

My Fiancé is in her early 20's and has been asking questions about my faith and telling me her worries and doubts. What did Jesus mean when He prayed that we would be one in John 17:21?

Jesus prayed, "That all of them (His disciples) may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one—I in them and You in Me—that they may be...

Feb 14 - Who Was St Valentine?

Who was Valentine? When his feast was established in the fifth century the pope included Valentine among all those “... whose names are justly reverenced among men, but whose acts are known only to God." So we can say confidently that he was a Roman martyr. In todays pod we learn about the...

    A Definition of Salvation

I came across this definition of salvation and thought it a good one, but I'm curious what others think. "To be saved is to reach the fullness of love; it is to enter into the circle of charity which unites the three Persons of the Trinity; it is to love as God loves." Gustavo Gutierrez from A...

I am struggling with my walk with Christ. Any help??

I grew up in a Christian family for most of my life and I have attended Sunday school. I don't know what is wrong with me because it seems like I am not a normal person anymore. I have read parts of the Bible where it says that God hates sinners. I have something wrong with me because I started...
