  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Faith without works is faith without love

Hello brothers & sisters in Christ. There have been so many threads on faith and works and I’ve noticed that in these discussions one thing that often gets overlooked and is very rarely mentioned which I believe is at the very root of salvation and works which is love for others. What really...

    Defining Love

What is love? When someone says, “I love you,” what is that saying to you? When a brother or sister in Christ says to you, “I love you,” what do you believe that should mean? And, what does it say to you when they say it but their actions speak just the opposite? Lastly, what do the scriptures...

    Are We Different?

Ephesians 5:1-2 ESV Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. As followers of Jesus Christ, what should our lives look like? What sets us apart from those who do not believe in...

How do I show my fiance that God is the answer to what he is seeking?

I have been with my fiance for over four years now. To say it has been a bumpy road would be an understatement. He has dealt with a lot of mental struggles from *extreme* depression and anxiety and what some may even describe as a personality disorder. Many people question why I choose to stay...

    What Things?

John 16:1-4 ESV “I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me...

    If You Love Me

John 14:15, 21, 23-24 NASB (Jesus speaking) “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” “If anyone loves Me, he will...

    Evening Bible Reading

Hello brothers and sisters, I am posting a simple passage that I read in my bible. I wrote my own interpretation of it on what I thought it mean. Please, feel free to respond. I pray that anyone reading this can be lifted and inspired. Bible Reading Ephesians 4:31-32 Get rid of all...

The consequences of refusing to be “unequally yoked”.

This is going to be a very long beginning to a thread so only keep reading if you have a ridiculous amount of time on your hands. I committed my life to Christ here in Australia when I was about twelve years old. Since then (I’m 38 now) I’ve had all kinds of ups and downs and been in and out...
