I'd be curious to see the vocations numbers diocese like San Francisco, Portland, or Cincinnati where the prelates are known to be friends of tradition because I'm sure they'd bear out proof that men are not only properly exposed to the priesthood when they should be but they're recognizing their calls and pursuing it in diocese where Catholicism is Catholic.

Obviously nobody wants to be a priest under Cupich in a diocese where parishes like St John Cantius are punished and St Sabina is allowed to exist.

And what a gifting, that you were already committed to the Scriptures at the age of 16! Thank you for sharing your story. We've been talking some about 'ministry' here in this thread, God's calling, and how He works in our lives where we are called ... and your story gives testimony to how God can take a willing, committed heart and work thru it to bless others, while blessing us, too. We’ll see. There were grand plans in the 1960 that came to nothing, and grand programs canceled first under Nixon, then Obama. I often said that if NASA had a rocket that burned cheese, Senator Proxmire would have been one of space exploration’s biggest backers. Such is the way of things.

Back then, we had those who whined that this was too hard and those who were critical because they thought - or claimed- the money spent would have otherwise gone to their pet social programs. At least, that’s what they were selling.

The irony? If it was private industry doing this, there would be calls to shut them down Just Because. And that’s why we can’t have nice things.

Robinson used campaign donations to pay his legal bills for that lawsuit and dropped the complaint soon after losing the election to Democrat Josh Stein.

Earlier this year, Robinson went on a podcast and said that his previous denials weren’t entirely true, acknowledging an “obsession” with pornography in the past. “I won't say that I completely lied,” Robinson said of his denials during the 2024 race. “Some of the things about the whole story — there's some truth to it.”

Money says the comments on the podcast proves the claims he made all along: That he had told the truth about his relationship with Robinson, and that when Robinson sued him for defamation, he “abused the legal process” for political goals rather than legitimate legal claims.

During the election, Money’s band, Trailer Park Orchestra, released a song called “The Lt. Governor Owes Me Money” in which Money says he used to make bootleg porn videos for Robinson but that Robinson never paid for one.

Randall County Republican Party Chairman pleads guilty in election fraud case​

Kelly Giles, the chairman of the Randall County Republican Party, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of attempted election fraud, a Class B misdemeanor. He was originally charged with election fraud, which is a felony.

Giles received deferred adjudication and was sentenced to six months probation. He was also fined $2,000 and ordered to perform 25 hours of community service.
