Mourningdove, well, I am 76 years old, and I have taught the Scriptures for 50+ years, and daily for the past 20-21 years. I started teaching the Scriptures at the age of 16, but I had times when I was not teaching, too. But in 2004 the Lord called me to write down what he is teaching me from his word each day and to put these writings on the internet, and so I have been doing that ever since then, by the grace of God, in the power of God - all glory to God. I do take the time to prayerfully go over the Scriptures and to pray that the Lord will lead me in what to say. And if there is something I don't understand, I will go to the Greek or to the Hebrew or to some Bible commentators for better understanding, but always under the direction of the Lord, for my trust is in him alone. I just trust that the Lord will guide me in what to write each day. And beginning in 2004 he had me read the Bible Genesis to Revelation, and again, and then from the Psalms through Revelation, and over again several times in order for me to get the context of what the Scriptures teach, for context is critical to correct biblical interpretation. Thank you for asking. I hope this answered your question. All in the power of God and not in my human flesh.
