Longtime charismatic "prophet" Kevin Leal has raised eyebrows online for ordering a teenager to eat a physical page from the book of Proverbs to get the wisdom he will need when God makes him a millionaire.
The teenager, identified as 18-year-old Ethan Soucy, is an instructor at Culture Architects, a faith-based, nondenominational Christian ministry, founded by his uncle, Pastor Lance Garduna, in the Parkersburg area of West Virginia.
Leal prophesied back in February that Soucy, who drew local attention in Naples, Florida, for his weightlifting skills when he was 16 years old, would become a millionaire through business.
The minister, whose website claims he has been operating as a prophet for three decades, called out Soucy during an Encounter Conference service at The Rock Family Worship Center in Parkersburg in February.
“I told him a couple of years ago, … ‘You're going to be a millionaire … and God's going to do the work in your heart that you don't become a flaky millionaire,’” Leal said.
