Gee...spray paint that anyone could have put there. I'm convinced.
People identifying themselves as Nazis marched down an American street, and all you can do is bleat about "Marxism". Maybe you should spend less time obsessing about Communism and more time...I dunno...speaking out against white supremacy? Or are you cool with that because they don't like (what you see as) Communists and Marxists either?

That is from the Berkeley riot. It was put there during the riot. Anyhow, no need to project your own failings onto me. You're the one who sides with another wicked group because they hate a group you do. I utterly despise both.
I loathe racism of any kind. My great grandmother was disowned by her family for marrying outside of her race. One of my friends was fired from a casino when they realized that she was white.
If you want to stop the growth of white nationalism, then you have to stand against ALL identity politics, because otherwise you will achieve nothing.
I'll grant you that.
But there's a fundamental problem in the discussion thus far. I brought it up earlier when I said, "Pretending that being anti-Nazi means being a Communist." But unfortunately I didn't press on it like I should have.
I have largely allowed this tangent to play out without challenge. But I'm challenging it now.

Okay..? I never did that. I am challenging the constant excuses for, and minimizing of, Antifa. They are anarcho-communists, which the full on communists see as useful idiots. I have nothing but disgust for Neo-Nazis, but I don't want to join hands with communists to defeat them. Remember how that turned out following WWII.
Quick story: a reporter for one of my local stations interviewed Richard Spencer. On Facebook, I posted about what cowards they were to go into Charlottesville at dark to hold a rally and then run away after twenty minutes.
A Nazi, complete with a profile full of nonsense about "lebensraum", replied to my comment. They consider August 12th a win, despite the death of Heather Heyer and the injuring of nineteen others.
I bring this up because we're getting so sidetracked into a debate about "Communism" and "Marxism" here (and I don't blame ViaCrucis for this, fyi) that we're missing the bigger point: Nazis are marching down American streets. Proudly. Under a hateful symbol of a side that decisively lost World War 2. They were emboldened by Trump's win, and they were emboldened by August 12th (even though that shouldn't be a "win" for them).
I don't think that there is necessarily an effort here to excuse Nazis, but that's the practical effect. I don't buy that antifa is "Communist" or "Marxist", but even if they are, I don't care. I don't care if they're anti-Communist. I don't care if they're indifferent. I'm anti-Nazi. I want white supremacy and neo-Nazism to be unacceptable in modern America again. I want these people to slither back under the rocks from which they emerged after November 8th of last year. I support antifa 100%, and I make no apologies for it.

Yeah, and you know what else they love? The identity politics that has spread like cancer these past few years. What do you think is fueling their growth? There's recordings of them online discussing this with each other.
Anyone who is worried about the neo-nazis but not the other groups is inviting disaster. How do you think that the original Nazis got into power to begin with? Partly because the Germans were freaked out by the German Communists. I don't want Neo-Nazis to be acceptable, but I don't want to allow that dislike to blind me to other threats.
Finally, neo-nazis, communists, and every other despicable group has a right to march in the streets, and we have the right to point out that they are despicable and idiotic. If you support the suppression of the speech of others, then you are a threat to our freedoms just like the neo-nazis.
