We don't "become inherently guilty of possessing/inheriting someone else's sin" (Eze 18:20),
nor are we acquitted of possessing/inheriting someone else's sin that we don't possess.
Guilt of someone else's sin must be imputed to us (Ro 5:17), charged to our account,
as righteousness was imputed to Abraham (Ge 15:6), charged to his account.
If we look at and remember the offence that Adam did, it came directly because of the serpent being more subtil than all beasts, who speaks to the woman, and convinces Eve to desire the fruit of the tree of knowledge, and good for food, she had no reason to not take from the tree, nor to not give to her husband, WITH HER, so the ate together. Adam answers God that the woman God gave Adam to be with him, gave him of that tree and he ate. ( with her) God then asks Eve what she had done, and she tells how the serpent ( who God had made) beguiled her and she ate.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Genesis 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
God judges the serpent also, of a fight of separation between firstly, the woman and the serpent, and then also between the woman's seed ( which will be Christ, and of the serpent/those WHO ARE OF/BY HIM).
Cain is the seed of the wicked one, hating his brother, causing separation and identity of who is born after the flesh and who is of the Spirit, Cain persecutes and kills his brother Abel, and the woman is seen next in Sarah, so there is birth after the free woman, and the other seed is that born after the flesh, which is of the serpent, which continues until now, as Galatians 4:29 relates.
Jesus speaks about that beginning seed of the serpent, beginning with murder, how those ones do the lusts of their father the devil, ( those who are of the serpent) and how those of the serpents seed are abiding in no truth, because having the serpent over them, there is no truth in them. ( Job 41:34.)

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a
murderer from the
beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Next is the judgment on the woman, is the pain in conception, and of bringing forth children, ( both her seed and of the serpent) and the man ruling over the woman.
On Adam, because he listened to his wife's voice, to eat of the fruit of the tree God had commanded both of them not to eat from, then the earth is cursed. ( this curse passes onto all born afterwards as well. Cain also is cursed from the earth. Those blessed of God inherit the earth and those cursed of God are cut off. Genesis 4:11. Psalm 37:22. Isaiah 24:4-6. Zechariah 5:3.)
Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Genesis 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
With the context told from the beginning and not from Ezekiel,, we can read what we are told in Romans 5, how sin entered into the world, how all men sinned then, ( because sin had come to them, sin had entered into the world) and the imputation of sin is the cursing of whoever does not continue in all of the things of the law to do them. Then as we understand from Psalms, such as are blessed of the Lord do inherit the earth, and the cursing is on them that are not blessed of the Lord. The blessing of Abraham ( and the promise of the Spirit) comes on all of them that believe, as Abraham believed in the Lord. ( this is contrary to Adam who along with Eve, did not believe in the word of the Lord, and followed after the word of the serpents subtilty.) Christ is then redemption to all those that believe, in Him being made a curse for us, even as it was written, that every one that is hanged on a tree is cursed.
We do not inherit the sin of Adam nor the righteousness of Christ in what was done on both occasions, as one gets death for all, and the other receives gifts for men/life for all, but we do inherit either obedience by belief/the obedience of faith made known to all nations of men, Romans 16:26, or the disobedience/faithlessness of the first man. ( hence why we are to not be the first man/Adam, but to be the LAST ADAM. 1 Corinthians 15:45.)
Many offences were made by all men, what was inherited was all doing offences, (as SIN WAS COME INTO THE WORLD BY ONE MAN) but now RIGHTEOUSNESS CAME INTO THE WORLD, and THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, ( BY ONE MAN/WHEN HE WAS COME INTO THE WORLD, A BODY HE HAD PREPARED FOR SACRIFICE FOR SINS. Hebrews 10:5.) Adam was not in the transgression, not being deceived, but the woman was deceived. Sin came by one man, and continues to all men, all men sinning and death by sin. One did no sin, and no death by sin. ( took our place on the cross and not possible to be held in death. God made Him to be sin for us, and He knew no sin as Adam and all knew, so we may be made the righteousness of God in Him. ( Acts 2:24. 2 Corinthians 5:21.) Romans 3 simply states the obvious, how that all are under sin, as it is written, there is not one righteous, none had understanding, none sought after God, for all had sinned and come short of the glory of God. ( Jesus Christ who knew no sin.) If we are of Christ He becomes us, to be holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made
higher than the heavens. ( separate from sinners as God had put that separation between the serpents seed and the woman's seed., To not touch what God has forbidden, as Adam is example of. Genesis 3:15. 2 Corinthians 6:17)
Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The
first man
Adam was made a living soul; the last
Adam was made a quickening spirit.

who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as BY ONE MAN SIN ENTERED INTO THE WORLD, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and THE GIFT BY GRACE, WHICH IS BY ONE MAN, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Romans 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Hebrews 10:5 Wherefore when he
cometh
into the
world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent
beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
