  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Implications that “it pleased the Father” for “all the fullness” to dwell in Jesus (Col. 1:19, NKJV)

Colossians 1:19 states (NKJV): For it pleased [the Father that] in Him all the fullness should dwell. Now, the New King James Version supplies "the Father," but to my knowledge, most understand the Father as the one referred to here. In saying "it pleased the Father" that "all the fullness"...

We are predetermined, together - the Devil hated all of us

Hi there, So yes, it took me a long time to get perspective behind Jim Brown's much vaunted concept of "predeterminism" - the idea that our steps are ordered by God - and having finally got that perspective, I wanted to share with you how to progress through it. It starts with accepting that...

    Happy Transfiguration!

I want to wish all members of ChristianForums a glorious, joyful Feast of the Transfiguration, whether you celebrated it today or are celebrating it on Sunday, or for those Eastern and Oriental Orthodox members like @dzheremi and @Pavel Mosko on the Julian or Coptic calendar, in two weeks or so...

Please pray for me in need of encouragement

Please pray for me I feel as tho I am a lost sheep. I came to the conclusion I had my focus on myself, obsessive fear, on having correct doctrine, fear of not being saved, the sin of fearing, sin in general and other matters that I have not lived out the 2 greatest commandments Jesus gave since...

Is Jesus ever called "Almighty" in the Scriptures, or is only the Father called such?

Hello! I'm not discussing whether Jesus is God or not; He is. However, I'm wondering if there are some terms that are only used of one of the Persons of the Godhead. My question in this thread is if the specific term "Almighty" (Hebrew, Shadday; Greek, pantokrator) is ever used with reference to...

Awaken to Jesus Through the Number 888

Hello Brothers and Sisters, I would like to give a testimony of how I found Jesus in the summer of 1997, June 1997 to be specific. First of all, due to the atrocities or evil acts that I have witnessed from April 1975 to mid 1980, from twelve to seventeen years of age, I have denied all God’s...

Just curious: why do you assert mutation produces information, when sin could produce masses of it?

Hi there, So if sin could produce masses of mutation (dysfunctional DNA), why would you not expect it to produce masses of information? I mean that is just a one for one interpretation of the special place you give "mutation" - am I not correct? There is no telling what species could get...

Christ vouched, for your works,, on the cross (selah)

Hi there, So we know that Jesus said "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do" on the Cross, but what we understand little of, is that Christ mixed this with faith, even as He died. Christ knew He was not trying to save the righteous, but that righteousness be fulfilled, He ensured...

A pyrograph (woodburning) that I made a while ago

I kind of botched up the hand. I am not a very good artist and my hands shake, but this is merely one of the ones that I have done and I think I have pictures of the others, so if you like this one I will try to share others.

Whoops! I thought I had to do the mastering - Christ does!!

Hi there, So yes it is a simple concept "master it", but those two words can vex you beyond your imagination all the way to Hell. There is One who needs to Master you and it is Christ! Doing His bidding, knowing His unction, waiting when He says to wait - all this comes with His mastery in you...

"You shall know them by their fruits" OR "You shall know them by the end they arrive at"?

Hi there, So I really want to hit the nail on the head with this, guys: the Church has a very clear alternative, to face. Does the Church know its members by its fruits OR does the Church know its members by the end that they arrive at? Does the Church caricature Jesus one way and another OR...

Book Of Revelation = 70th Week Of Daniel (conclusion)

Continuing from Book of Revelation (Introduction) we will cover the entirety of Revelation from a chronological perspective. We will divide the whole of the book into parts and then reunite them to show how they line up, this I accomplished by concluding that 7 Seals = 70th Week of Daniel =...

    How I became a Christian.

How I became a Christian. As a young boy I grew up with a mother and a father that loved God and were willing to talk to me about biblical matters whenever I chose to ask questions. My parents never pushed religion on me though I knew there was something very important to know. From the age of...

    Jesus really suffered.

Jesus really suffered during his time on earth. His suffering was never to be in vain as we can all share in his triumph. The last days that Jesus spent on this earth were to be his greatest time of pain as he was tortured and belittled by many his very last cry to his father was why have you...

    Solid as a Stone

Today is a double poem day. Here is one of my favorites. Solid as a Stone Should I take a human path, Or take the path You’ve laid? Should I drive on human roads, Or on the road You’ve paved? Should I master human words, Or master what You say? Should I ponder human thoughts, Or ponder You...
