Today is a double poem day. Here is one of my favorites.
Solid as a Stone
Should I take a human path,
Or take the path You’ve laid?
Should I drive on human roads,
Or on the road You’ve paved?
Should I master human words,
Or master what You say?
Should I ponder human thoughts,
Or ponder You all day?
I could seek out human will,
And make myself a king.
Or I could serve Your purposes,
Confess, praise and sing.
A man may serve one master,
Only one alone.
Receive Him who’s from above,
He is solid as a stone.
