  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    In A Single Day

Zechariah 3:1-2 ESV Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the...

The Catholic Church is 'forgiving sins' for people with the coronavirus?

Articles are saying the Catholic Church is 'forgiving sins' for people with the coronavirus. Isn't it God that forgives sins, not any church? I don't know much about Catholics, so this is a surprise to me. I can't believe what I'm reading. Here's the link. Church forgives sins of those stricken...

    Struggling to forgive

Hi. I’m new, but looking for some help. My husband and I have been married for 30 years. I experienced a lot of abuse as a child and became active in speaking out against abuse early in college years, before meeting my husband. I would give speeches and write about the dangers of pornography. He...

Please pray for the anti-Christ, that many be prepared to forgive him - peace waits!

Hi there, So naturally many will confuse being the man of sin, with being the enemy, but that is not specifically true: the man of sin, is the beginning of an enemy - not the actual embodiment of one. This distinction is important, because how we respond to someone beginning to become an enemy...

    Understandable Pain, Unacceptable Behavior

“Just because your pain is understandable, doesn’t mean your behavior is acceptable.” – Steve Maraboli. Genesis Chapters 4-7 How long would it take before the ugliness of sin caused major tragedy? Not long, not long at all. The ugly effects of sin bend mankind toward wicked deeds...

    Feeling or Doing?

“From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.” 2 Corinthians 5:16 ESV We all make judgments every day of our lives, so not all judgment is bad. It is only bad if we are making...

The false Church thinks forgiving the anti-Christ, means forgiving the Devil?

Hi there, So this is the litmus test, for any believer (in principle): if you understood you were forgiven, even to the point that you forgave what the anti-Christ did, would you forgive the Devil? The problem is, if you would forgive the Devil, what would you forgive the Devil for? He doesn't...

    His Gentle Whisper

An Original Work / December 12, 2019 In the stillness of the moment, As I sit here in the silence, I am talking with my Savior, And I’m listening for His kindness. I can hear His gentle whisper, As He breaks through all the hush, And He tells me that He loves me, Which He does, so very much...

If We Say We Have No Sin, We Deceive Ourselves

The scriptures clearly tell us, "There is no distinction, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:22-24). Therefore, we know that Jesus did not die in vain, but instead He died to set...

    You Loved Me (Song)

On November 27, 2019, the Lord Jesus gave me a poem to write entitled, “You Loved Me.” So, I posted it on the internet. Then, one of my fellow Christian bloggers and friend, Tosin, read the poem. And, she responded to it with a tune for the poem, so it could become a song. God had given the tune...

    Foot in Mouth

Tonight I had one of those real life lessons taught to me. I will not share the details of what took place, but I will just suffice it to say that I said something I wished I would not have said, and I felt badly afterwards that I said it, and so I apologized for it and for my insensitivity...

Sin, guilt, condemnation and the age of innocence

Assumptions: At the end of the age, God will judge mankind. If man is found guilty, he will be punished. We know that all men will be found guilty because all have sinned. In the gospel, Jesus assumes our guilt to himself and imputes his righteousness to us. It seems like there are at least two...

    Love, Obedience & Forgiveness
