He misses the point. So many do. It's not what we've done; it's what Jesus has done for us. His answer implies he's looking at his works, but Paul pointed out that our own righteousness is as filthy rags compared to God.

Until I read this quote, I didn't know if Trump is a Christian or not. If he's trusting in his works, not Jesus, then I think the answer is no. Yeah, I know there are many here (most in this section of CF) that think Trump isn't because of political reasons, but ultimately it comes down to whether a person trusts Christ or not, not which side of the political aisle they're on.

FWIW, simply hoping one gets to Heaven isn't much of an indication of anything. Who here wants to to the other place?

I think no one intends to sound harsh or nasty. But in electronic communication, we have to take special care. The others cannot see our face or body language, or hear the tone of our voice. Printed words are naked and neutral, and can have negative effects that we don’t intend. I think if we pay attention to that fact, we can avoid unintended offense.

Your words are so kind, but did you notice what the Spirit through our brother Paul has asked us to consider? He is on top of the progress in no uncertain terms. Or is this a signal to go no further having by itself placed the state of reigning to suffer need? I say NO! The Apostle did not nor ever has (save fore his spoken ''folly''), spoken or run in vain.
