  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I keep falling into sin for some reason

The key thing I believe is that as long as you put the humanity of women first as the Lord did ( John 8:1-12 etc.), as opposed to sex objects, your heart is right. I believe much of what Paul says in Romans 7 comes into play here. He is telling us the whole truth but many of us will struggle in the process. If we love our neighbor we pray for their salvation ( Matthew 22:36-40, Matthew 9:36-38, 1 Timothy 2:1-6 etc.). Is not lowering a beautiful woman to our base desire actually lowering their humanity to an object of our sinful desire? ( to understand Matthew 5:27-30 purely spiritually). Struggling with lustful images is rough but the golden rule must be stronger ( Matthew 7:1-12).

I just want to add that whatever a Christian may know about sin & adultery, we must take care not to assume our neighbors caught up in adultery are monsters. Pimps, predators etc. are obvious monsters ( although we must still remember forgiveness in the Lord’s Prayer etc.). In this fallen world many are lonely, have intimacy dysfunctions ( I know I do), may be genuinely loving but lustful also etc etc.

ABC pulls Jimmy Kimmel Live after comments on Charlie Kirk

A lot of openness from Trump on this. He's always been an open guy about what he thinks about stuff, right or wrong. I think this seems to be a bare your soul moment for him. Maybe, just maybe this will help him to get closer to rhe Lord. I sure hope so.

There were like 250,000 people there rhat filled up two stadiums and other places. There were millions on line around the world. This really was an amazing moment. People around the world gave their lives to Christ.

Despite the lefts hateful rhetoric people came to honor a good man and Christ was glorified. Let God be true and every man a liar.
The most I have ever heard the name of Jesus at one event

Daniel 11:40-44, followed by Armageddon

Before a king is a king, he is a prince. The prince of Tyre is an angel who becomes a king.
A prince is usually the son of a king.

The prince of Tyre angers God by sitting in the seat of God - claiming to be God - but yet is a man. I think that is something that the Antichrist will do in 2Thessalonians2:4, revealing himself to be the man of sin.

Antichrist sits in the temple.jpg

Ezekiel 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

"in the midst of the seas" means he will be claiming to the whole world that he has achieved God-hood. When he goes into the temple, the holy of holies chamber, a placed reserved only for God, and claims to have achieved God-hood. The Antichrist will bring a camera crew with him and his claim will be broadcast worldwide.

Let's see what God's reaction will be....

Ezekiel 28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

8 They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.

God is going to have the Antichrist (the revealed man of sin) assassinated. Mortally wounded by a sword.

assassnated Revelaton 13c.jpg

Now lets go to Revelation 13.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

statue image.jpg

Then in Revelation 12:7-9, a war in the second heaven takes place and Satan and his angels are cast down to earth. Babylon is fallen, is fallen !

the fal2.jpg

Fallen to earth, Satan will then indwell the abomination of desolation statue image, making it come alive and speak. And demand worship. His protegee, the false prophet, will demand everyone to worship the statue image, indwelt by Satan.

Then near the end of the 7 years, in Revelation 16:16, through the statue image of the beast as the mouth of Satan, he will convince the kings of the earth to make war on Jesus and His army of heaven.

Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Then on the day that Jesus returns, the abomination of desolation statue image, indwelt by Satan, will go up in flames, turned to ashes and there will be Satan exposed on the temple mount.

Citing Charlie Kirk murder, Tennessee pastor demands removal of 'Hate Has No Home' signs

"When you accuse someone of preaching hate, they are saying I hope somebody puts a bul
"When you accuse someone of preaching hate, they are saying I hope somebody puts a bullet in your neck. That's what that means," [Andrew] Isker claimed in a live podcast Friday afternoon.

Isker derided what he described as “many foolish Christian leaders” who have urged people to follow the words of Jesus to love their enemies and to turn the other cheek.

“This great evil must not be tolerated. It must be rooted out and eradicated," he insisted.

That vengeance, he said, would come in the form of government crackdown, not from vigilante action.

[From his Facebook post to a Jackson County group]

The Hate Has No Home in Gainesboro/Jackson County signs did not bother me. I have always known I have opinions that some people will disagree with. It was no surprise that people would react strongly when the TV (falsely) told them that a Nazi had moved into the area.
But things have changed after yesterday. Gainesboro is my home now. I am not leaving. If the "hate" is me, and I am not leaving, "no home here" means the only way I don't have a home here is if someone kills me.
I don't think anyone who has these signs up supports radical leftist terrorism. I think you are decent Americans who disagree with my views. But you need to understand what your message is being associated with: it has been taken to mean you support violence against people you hate. If you really believe the rhetoric needs to be toned down, you will show it by putting these signs away.

[Sorry pal, just because you apparently take this criticism to mean that doesn't mean it does. It is by no means inciting or a threat. We are all allowed to opine that you are preaching hate.]

"I hope every scumbag journalist is shaking in his boots right now."

As Scripps News Nashville first revealed, Isker is leading an effort to establish a Christian nationalist community in Jackson County, Tennessee, about 90 minutes northeast of Nashville.

ABC pulls Jimmy Kimmel Live after comments on Charlie Kirk

What did Trump actually say?
A lot of it was based on common sense, by the way. Charlie wrote back to the staff member saying, "I'm not here to fight them. I want to know them and love them, and I want to reach them and try and lead them into a great way of life in our country." In that private moment on his dying day, we find everything we need to know about who Charlie Kirk truly was. He was a missionary with a noble spirit and a great, great purpose. He did not hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them.

(24:38)
That's where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponent, and I don't want the best for them. I'm sorry. I am sorry, Erika. But now Erika can talk to me and the whole group, and maybe they can convince me that that's not right, but I can't stand my opponent.

(24:59)
Charlie's angry. Looking down, he's angry at me now. He wasn't interested in demonizing anyone. He was interested in persuading everyone to the ideas and principles he believed were good, right and true. Before each appearance, he prayed these words. "God use me for your will." Always said the same thing. "Use me for your will."

Has Kirk's Death Prompted You?

So is that a yes? You have been more outspoken?
The remembrance service only happened yesterday, and that was where I thought, I need to speak more. I need to tell more people the Gospel because we only have a short time on earth and none of us know when our number is up. So, time is short. Make the most of it.
As a hospital chaplain I do not “prod” people. I journey with them and try to show them the love and care of God in their moments of crisis. Most people are very open about their faith already, though it may be underdeveloped or not very considered. Are the still “perishing” because their faith is not what I think it should be?
I would say that if you are a hospital chaplain, then that would be all the more reason to say the Gospel more. You are with people in moments of need, life and death. There are eternities at stake. But I understand that at times, we need to tread carefully and walk with them, and sometimes it may not be possible to say the Gospel. But our heart's desire should be that people hear and understand.
Also, it is the Holy Spirit that does the prodding, not us. We who have the Holy Spirit should feel an urge that the Gospel be told.

Which Groups Are More Likely To Believe That Violence Is Sometimes Necessary To Gain Political Aims?

I fear there will be an increase in left wing nutjobs committing physical violence. I don't see any solution to this, Some are hoping that more people will abandon the democrats and join the Trump train and the main stream media will lower the temperature. This would not reduce violence from the left wing nutjobs because the extreme media would just get more feral.

Stephen Miller delivers heated remarks at Charlie Kirk's memorial service: 'We are the storm'

I watched the video of Kirk's wife forgiving the shooter. It was obviously well-rehearsed down to each eye movement and facial expression. It reminded me of WWF. I expected to see politicians exploiting this event, but not his wife. I wouldn't be surprised if she had a book out by Christmas. Call me cynical.

The Son of Man and the Throne Room

The kingdom of God, for Christians, is in our midst right now. It is a spiritual kingdom.
I thought I already answered this? See post #10.

The spiritual Kingdom is here, but the Kingdom of heaven is not yet established on earth, meaning that kings who rebel against the Lord have not yet been subdued with Christ actually imposing political realities on the earth in a permanent way.

Said differently, the eschatological Kingdom is not yet here, but it is "near" in the preaching of Christ's word through his people.

The Son of Man and the Throne Room

We Christians in the 21st century err when we choose to view the first-century NT with our 21st-century mindset.

The NT was written for the first-century Christians. It was to be understood as they understood it within their own culture.

The kingdom of God, the gospel, was preached to all the nations before Peter and Paul died. The whole world, according to these early Christians, consisted of the territories controlled by the Roman Empire, to which they belonged.
I'm not in disagreement with you. I've said the same before, although I'm not a Preterist. Like Preterists I've argued that many signs Jesus gave in his Olivet Discourse were fulfilled in his generation as warning signs prior to the 70 AD judgment. Preaching the Gospel in throughout the Roman world may have been part of this, since Jews may have been scattered throughout that world and needed to be warned, as well.

However, I also believe that the Great Commission extended, in a different form--by principle, beyond the time of the Apostles and that generation. Jesus said that the Jewish Tribulation would extend until his return. This means that the Church would continue to exist, and would have to continue witnessing to the world.

And it wasn't just to the Roman world that the Church was to witness. The Roman world was to be broken up into different states, each one requiring a Christian witness. So the mission of evangelizing the world continued well past the age of the Apostles. I think also that the Gospel is to be preached to all nations, and not just to the Roman "world."
Romans 4:13
The promise to Abraham and his descendants, that they should inherit the world, did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.

The lands that originally belonged to OT Israel do not have a special right to exist as the nation we call Israel in the NT 21st century. Jesus' new covenant did away with all the distinctions that were between the Jew and the non-Jew. The practicing Jews of today still reject Jesus Christ as their Messiah. According to the "land rights" promised to Abrahams descendants, the lands that were once controlled by OT Israel should probably now belong to the obedient NT Christians of today. ;)
I do not agree with "Replacement Theology." The promises of God stand independent of the Law of Moses, the latter being temporary. The promises of God are eternal. What God promised Abraham concerning Israel and the nations is a permanent and eternal promise, in my view.

Israel's fall was an opportunity for other nations to enjoy the Kingdom of God as Israel had. After all, Israel had benefited from the Kingdom for 1500 years before their hearts became so hardened that they were relegated to those virtually without a name.

But I believe that if God has saved the pagan Gentile nations, forgiving them their sins, He can also forgive Israel after 2000 years of wandering in their sins. The hardness of heart can be broken by a combination of judgment and chastisement. The judgment has been put off to give time for the Gentile nations to repent, if they so choose to do so.

Amazing interview with Israel and Maria Folau.

So you can not understand that he is proclaiming a false message with his.

Warning
Drunkards
Homosexuals
Adulterers
Liars
Thieves
Atheist
Idolaters
Hell
Awaits You
Repent
Only Jesus saves
So show me where he states to believe in Jesus for God's free gift of Eternal Life. Because his message above states to repent and repenting of sin gives no one God's free gift of Eternal Life.
Only belief in Jesus is how a person becomes a born again child of God.

So you can say i am dodging all the questions, etc.. that is fine because i simply cut through all the nonsense and get straight to the point. That either a person has believed in Jesus for Eternal Life or they have not and that is all that counts toward a person and where they will spend eternity with God or in the lake of fire apart from The Life of God.

The message of Life is so simple, that either this person is telling people how to receive God's free gift of Eternal Life or he is not.

ABC pulls Jimmy Kimmel Live after comments on Charlie Kirk

You seem to be somehow confusing a critique of what Kirk stood for - and I personally agree with everything that AOC said, I have no problem with anyone making such statements, with the president, at the guy's funeral, calling for the country to come together to reject political violence.

The two positions are not mutually exclusive. I'll stand by what AOC said and I'll also stand by the snippet of speech that I would have expected Trump to have delivered.

Notwithstanding that you're back to the schoolyard arguments: 'If she did it then why can't I'. The two aren't connected whatsoever. If you think they are connected and what you think she said is wrong then you are tacitly agreeing that what Trump said was wrong. Or rather that he wasn't wrong in not calling for the country to join together in unity.
There were other parts of Trump’s speech that were good, and in his own way he was giving Kirk a compliment, that Kirk could love his enemies even though he can’t.
But divisive rhetoric is not exclusive to Trump.
Newsome tweeted today that Noem is going to have a bad day. There are a lot of ways you can take that.
I don’t see anyone giving a speech like you suggested except Charlie Kirk’s widow.
(It was a good suggestion though)
