  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Israel is losing Americans (support)

THE LIST
of Middle Eastern countries other than Israel believes in the freedoms and rights to be able to live by your own conscience, practice your beliefs, speak freely without being killed (or jailed) for it.
=======
THERE ARE NONE
=====
Jordan is close.

The rest all backed and funded Shia or Sunni terrorists and have attempted to destroy the state of Israel.

That being said, thanks to Trump these states are now willing to fight terrorists (or watch Israel do so) and make peace with Israel. Note, that Egypt was already at peace with Israel (thanks to Jimmy Carter).
Yes I think this is the way forward. To get other middle eastern nations to accept Isreals right to exist. Really its a simple request and one the west has longed support. Under the United Nations after the horrors of WW2 we realised this fundemental God given right when we created the Human Rights Declarations.

But for some reason people are forgetting this truth due to political ideologies that are full of hate for certain peoples.

And make no mistke the exact same hate that Islamists have for Isreal they also have for the west, for Christians. If Isreal was wiped out they would be coming for us next. They were targetting us before Covid and people forget.

But now on the other side of Covid we are seeing the same hate and division come into western nations who are even siding with radicals rather and rejecting this fundemental right and truth.

That means we are breaking down morally. We have lost our moral compass and rather than the free nations who once stood on these truths making the world a better place. We are seeing the Islamist and radical ideology spread throughout the world.

Not just in a one off nation like the Nazis or Islamist nations that were far away. But in every nation just about. All the so called free nations. This is not good. We are more or less seeing the downfall of the west and if not the world.

Why we Christians still have to struggle with sins?

The sacrificial law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. Before we continue, we must clear one thing up. Are we justified by faith alone? Let's see. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. (Romans 3:31) What law is established? Certainly not the sacrificial law, we have seen above that it was added because of transgression until the Seed came (which was Christ). The Royal law to be established forever which are the Ten Lords commandments!
The royal law is one.

Do you think a law to not commit adultery has to be in the heart of Christ, the Son of God, or it is God that is in Christ, love in Christ, and love does not need to be made to be kind, it is kindness.

I separated the verses below, so ANYONE CAN FOLLOW MY THOUGHTS.

Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Galatians 5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

James 2: 1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?

James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

James 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

The Thing Most Sabbath Keepers Do not Talk About.

“You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.””
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭35‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

I don’t understand what part of not to have a fire in ANY dwelling on the Sabbath day do you not understand.

“See, the Lord has given you the Sabbath; for that reason He gives you bread for two days on the sixth day. Remain, everyone, in his place; no one is to leave his place on the seventh day.””
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭16‬:‭29‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

Not to leave their place precludes them from going for a walk.

Christians are not under the law so you don’t have to follow the Jewish law. But it does say what it says.
Based on Acts 1:12, a Sabbath journey is about 0.57 miles or 0.91 kilometers.

Is 'once saved always saved' a biblical teaching?

Like I said, try to understand the Greek word where it was translated to "sealed" in the KJV, and you will understand that you cannot break that.

If you choose not to, that is also fine, we can move on.
The promises of God CANNOT BE BROKEN, believing in promises requires to continue to be faithful, believing.

Those PROMISES OF GOD ARE SEALED, others STAND BY FAITH.

I agree with you, if you choose not to see any other scripture, apart from latching onto a single word, the word SEALED, we can move on.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

OSAS - I was wrong...again

This time now have many liars, false prophets, false teachers, and that is why this time now has an important escape, not to be taught by liars, but by truth.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Attitudes towards Tertullian and Origen

he was by Demitrios of Alexandria
I do not doubt that he was condemned by individuals, Army Matt, but Origen was never condemned by a Church Council during his lifetime. It would seem that the likely reason for such is that the Church had not yet reached a final decision on the status of the eternity of Hell during Origen's lifetime.

BUSTED - 12 False theories refuted:

All the prophesies that say we cannot know the Day, refer to the Lords Day of vengeance and wrath. NOT the glorious Return.
It will be the sudden and shocking Sixth Seal event, which will be a surprise to all.
That's not what Jesus said.
The parable of the wise and foolish virgins, the parable of the master who went away and was a long time coming back, Luke 12:42-46 and the teaching that if the owner of the house had known when the thief would be coming all talk of a person who came/returned when they were not expected.
Jesus said "The Son of Man will return ......" , not "the 6th seal event will be ........."
The Day of the Return will be known, as it will come exactly 1260 days after the Temple is desecrated by the 'beast'. Rev 13:5-6
You believe what you like. If you believe you will be alive in 15-20 years time, able to move to Israel and take part in animal sacrifices, you hang onto that. But even if you are around, this forum probably won't be so you will never have to give account to us for your erroneous teaching.

God the Father has always known the time of Jesus' return - long before we humans started messing about with calendars.
The great Tribulation of the 7 Trumpets and 7 Bowls, will take place during that time. Culminating in the 6th & 7th Bowls;- Armageddon.
If you say so.
But you may be watching these things from heaven.

Trump live updates: President expands ‘narco’ boat strikes to Pacific Ocean as 8th boat is struck

It's legal, unless specifically prohibited by law or until ruled upon by the Supreme Court. Then if you continue you are in violation of the Constitution.

That's why this whole nonsense of "what about drug dealers in the US? Can we just kill them"? The answer is no. We have laws and Constitutional rulings that govern this kind of thing within the borders of the United States. These things that don't apply to the high seas or in foreign countries.

You should listen to the video too. We have laws that govern just about everything - it's a matter of piecing together what laws fit where and when and why and how. It is more complicated than you just stated. We can't just kill whoever we want on the high seas either. We are a nation of laws.

That said, the Trump administration is following the law thus far.

Trump third term

I'm positive Vance is running in 2028, and we will be having an election like every other. As Vice I'm sure he'll be the favored Republican candidate.

Trump trolls the media is all. I don't listen to the noise, he pokes and prods.
I actually love this. Trump LOVES to troll the media and the rest of the left. This thread is a great example. Its quite hilarious.

Already have and posted the legal analysis of the Yale University law Professor, Jed Rubenfeld he says probably perfectly legal.

Israel-Hamas Thread II

Where is the ‘Palestinian’ who will take the lead and say: I will replace Fatah, Hamas and all other ISIS groups and build a democratic state? I have not yet heard or seen anyone in the media who has said this. Do you happen to know anyone to whom this applies?

Such a state is merely a figment of the imagination. Muslims do not come to terms with democracy. Such an attempt will end in nothing less than a second Lebanon or Gaza.

The Thing Most Sabbath Keepers Do not Talk About.

Brother, you are reading what you want into this passage they are debating opinions of man, not if they should or should not obey God’s commandments that Jesus ratified by His blood at the Cross.

Ratified is the wrong word...

not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Supreme God

He was already supreme, but He became Lord of all; and so Jesus became supreme as Lord by becoming Lord.
Sorry, to me, that doesn't make sense. You begin by saying He was already supreme. You end by saying, "Jesus became supreme as Lord by becoming Lord." How could He be "already supreme" if He also needed to become supreme?

AI Overview

You can fly over Antarctica, but it's not common for regular airlines due to a lack of infrastructure like landing strips and refueling stations, as well as significant logistical challenges. It's not a simple matter of illegality, but rather a question of practicality and safety in a remote and harsh environment.

  • Lack of infrastructure:
    Antarctica has very limited infrastructure, with virtually no commercial airports or refueling stops available for long-haul flights.

  • Safety concerns:
    The extreme weather conditions and vast, remote terrain make any emergency landings extremely dangerous and difficult to execute.

  • Logistical challenges:
    The remoteness means that getting aid or a replacement aircraft to a stranded plane would be a major and complex operation.
So you have changed from saying that flying over the Antarctic is impossible (you wrote: "but they can not fly all the the way across Antarctica", and are now saying that it is possible but dangerous? I don't think that airlines would be allowed to fly passengers over the Antarctic if it were too dangerous to do so, with all the current emphasis on health and safety!

Okay, I will review the 40 minute video when I have time....(I don't today).

He speaks a little slower, I assume to try and be clearly understood, but it's definitely worth a listen. I wasn't planning on debating anything about it, he's a constitutional and criminal law professor with Yale University - I can't beat that myself and there's not much to debate anyway. I don't think anyone actually likes to see us have to take military actions against anyone. It's always a little sad, necessary, but still sad.
