Trump Threatens Federal Takeover of Washington After Member of DOGE Is Assaulted

Fear not. . .there are legal remedies if that is true.
That’s right, Congress could sue President Trump (in his official capacity), which wouldn’t affect the relationship between those two parties, one iota.

Ignorant Christians battle sin by using their flesh

I think one of the greatest tactics satan can use is to mimmick superficially what Christs truth represents in this world. Secular or as you call it fleshly ideas can look pretty close to the good fruits of the spirit. Paul mentions the obvious ones like sexual immorality.

But the false ideas today that are presented as Christs truths are a cunning manipulation of the truth to make them look the same. Both place importance on equality, justice, and doing good in helping the poor.

But only one is identified as from Christ.

What I have noticed which I think is the telling difference is that the good claimed in Christ that is misleading always is associated with the secular ideas and comes hand in hand with political ideas about creating some equal and just society on earth at the expense of Gods Kingdom.

The other sign or bad fruit is division. This leads to dividing the church into groups that fight over the political and theological implications.

The last sign is that those professing these truths and ideas make it known, make their good works known as the evidence for their truth claims. Just like in the world any good works themselves are held up as the evidence for how good they are. How virtuious they are than this must be the truth.

Whereas if we look at the saints and servants who stood on Christs truth they were quiet, meek, and let their Christlike disposition rather than showing off their good works. Almost like they did not have to say anything because their example spoke the truth.

They did not get involved in the secular world of politics and basically kep to theemselves in protecting the church from the world. But it was this seperation and standing on a consistent and united truth that attracted people to Jesus and the church. Not the fighting over what is truth.

When ideas are causing divisions and conflicts and are themselves presented as the truth then we can know this is not of Christ but man.

El Salvador Ends Term Limits, Letting President Bukele Seek Re-Election Indefinitely

Authoritarian leadership seems to get better results than lackadaisical leadership.
This doesn’t make authoritarian leadership any more “desirable”.
We’ve always have had a three-steps forward, two-steps-backward, kind of political zeitgeist.
Having an efficient government is nigh impossible with our current system; but we’ve only had it for 249 years.

We've seen how poorly lackadaisical leadership played out in El Salvador, and how poorly it plays out in the parts of the US run by lackadaisical leaders.
But now it’s “better” by having an unfireable President who also just happens to be the de facto warden of an international prison?

The removal of term limits doesn't mean the removal of voting. It just means the people don't have to lose a really good leader because their few years are up. They can keep approving them to stay in office.
Just like in Russia and China, gee, really, all the cool superpowers! (And Cuba and DPRK)

El Salvador Ends Term Limits, Letting President Bukele Seek Re-Election Indefinitely

What do Bukele's accomplishments have to do with this? One would hope that the people of El Salvador would continue to elect leaders who can continue Bukele's legacy, if that's what they desire, once his term is up. That's one of the hallmarks of a democratic society. The idea that a single person is the only one who can fix things leads down the path to authoritarian dictatorship.
Plenty of strong democracies also have no term limits. Conversely, if a society elects authoritarian leaders, no term limits will stop them.

Historical & scientific evidence in Scriptures: For evangelism

I think another aspect that makes the bible authoritive and Gods word is that the church itself, the one Christ installed by the authority and power of the holy spirit was the one who were inspired by God to form the bible as it is. As it was determined in 401AD after the initial determination of which books at the First Council of Nicaea, held in 325 AD.

Otherwise we would have to say that the bible can be rejected or certain books can be rejected or added. It seems this in itself is evidence that the bible is inspired by the holy spirit. To question this is to question God and moreso Christ and the Holy Spirit as being wolves or false teachers.

It also opens the way for a more pluralistic approach to what is biblical truth as it allows even Christs truth to be questioned in a way that could reject or reintepret His truths.

Paul mentions the scriptures are inspired by the Holy Spirit and are profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. How can this be if the bible and teachings themselves are undermined as not being inspired by God and therefore can be reinterpreted according to social norms of modern times.

I think there is the science evidence and logic. But this cannot account for spirit inspired truths that transcend this world and objective reality. I think this is where testimony and tradition are the evidence. How we can tell truth from lies by Gods spirit and the fruits they produce according to whether they are aligned to Christs truth.

In otherwords Christs teachings and truth has the same if not more weight in evidence than any scientific or objective fact in the world. Scienc can add and support to this but it cannot alone be the measure. If the science contradicts the biblical scriptures then Gods word wins out every time.

Prophecy Question.

Someone beat me to it. The third temple is the church. Here are some verses.

John 2:19-21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body.
Mark 14:58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Ephesians 2:19-22 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Bible prophecy is a deep subject that would requires dozens of hours to explain in detail. If you're just getting started, Panorama of Prophecy is a good start. If you want something deep, check out Salvation in Symbols and Signs.
You explained that much better than I could, so I appreciate you taking the time to do so. Many Christians think of the Church, as a denomination and some think of it as a building. But as you rightly pointed out, it's neither of those things.

The LORD knows every single member of His body by name, even those who are living now but have not yet been added to His Body. And those who have not yet been born, but will be added to His Body at the appointed time. God chose the Church before He laid the foundations of the world, He wrote each members name in the book of life.

DOJ issues subpoenas to NY AG Letitia James, including over Trump civil fraud case and NRA case: Sources

Not complaining about Martin, just pointing out that his appointment makes it look political. If she's guilty, I have no issue with her being prosecuted, just have my doubts that any conviction will ever occur. Particularly with the DoJ wanting her files from Trump's prosecution (which is questionable, since it is still in the courts), it looks like the Trump Administration is just throwing things against the wall to see if they can get anything to stick (and to keep distracting people from things like Epstein).

Unbelief

-

We believe God for things He has promised.
Example God promises that anyone who believes in Jesus for Eternal Life at the very moment of belief in Jesus, receives Eternal Life.
---------------------------------------------
We trust God for things He has not explicitly promised.
Example you may trust in God to heal you or someone you pray about.

Thessalonians 4 Does Not Teach a Rapture Separate from the Second Coming

No, Jesus, the "Son of Man," is said to come back the way he left (Acts 1), which means he comes back to earth. Paul said he leaves heaven when he comes, which means he comes to the earth. This belief originates from Dan 7 where the Son of Man is viewed as coming with the clouds, which means he is initially unseen in heaven but then comes to be revealed to the earth.
Both you and the other seem to presume im a rapture believer.

Paul can say what he wants.

But let us go back to Jesus: The reapers are angels.

The wheat and the tares both grow till the harvest when they are separated by the reapers who are angels..

The wheat which is brought into the barn could indeed be a rapture off this burned planet.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s move to ‘country club’ prison smacks of special treatment, experts say

See but now you are presuming trumps innocence based on the "inaction" of his critics.

I mean do you think Trump is FAMOUS for making everyone he speaks with sign ndas because it's a past time of his?

And that is for tiny stuff.
He can't even have a secret meeting without it getting leaked,
come on,
I wouldn't pin all my hopes on there being bombshells in the Epstein files

Trump-enomics

and a very, very bad one, if past results matter
History only seems to repeat itself, that is, every 80 years (or so) yesteryears’ failures are given a new lease on life with the hope that tariffs [or political philosophies that require a strong Leader and a nationalistic mythos to run roughshod over opposition], are taken down and dusted off and given another chance to work by having people so smart and special that there’s no way that things could “go wrong”.

Pogo had it right, 52 years ago, “we have met the enemy, and he is us!”

We’ll be okay, 2036 is looking all rosy!

Trump-enomics

But “trade wars are good, and easy to win”!
that all depends on the meaning of the word "win" and who you are applying it to.

For example, the reduction of EU tariffs on US goods will likely help EU consumers who will pay lower prices for those goods.

The high US tariffs on some EU goods will mean that EU companies will be forced to try to sell the products elsewhere instead of depending on US markets. In the end, this will help EU economies. And finally, all of Europe will benefit by increased purchase of state-of-the-art US military equipment as part of the increases in spending forced upon them by Trump.
===========
Important details still need to be worked out in many of the agreed-upon deals.
=========
Finally, I believe that Trump will come to new agreements with Mexico and Canada. Of course, the damage to US trade with Canada is permanent.

DOJ issues subpoenas to NY AG Letitia James, including over Trump civil fraud case and NRA case: Sources

The OP is about the federal government "subpoenas to New York Attorney General Letitia James inquiring about her office's civil fraud case against President Donald Trump and corruption case against the National Rifle Association." I fail to see how that has anything to do with any fraud James may have committed.

And it is alleged by the Trump administration that James did the same thing but it appears they do not have any actual evidence, at this point, so that they need a "special prosecutor." If they don't want it to look like political retribution, then they likely want to appoint someone other than Martin, who Congress rejected for a US attorney position (not to mention, per Trump's case in Florida, the standard is that he'd need Congressional approval to become a "legal" special prosecutor).
From post #19
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has tapped Ed Martin, the ex-interim U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., as "special attorney" to probe New York Attorney General Letitia James and Sen. Adam Schiff over allegations of mortgage fraud, two administration officials told NBC News.

And I don't know how you can complain about Martin when James ran for office promising to get Trump

How should have Christians historically addressed Islam?

I know nothing of gnosticism, but what I do know is that God has supplied all my needs.
I actually know quite a bit about it as a historic movement. They died out in history which is why you can't find any of them in history. Your kinsmen in faith ceased to exist.
Yes, and for His eventual glory.
Ah so they were murdered and raped for God's glory. Does preventing murder and rape prevent your God receiving glory as well?
Where have is written that ?
Paul was murdered, and so where the other apostles.
I do trust God to keep His children safe from all assailants.
Except God didnt keep your brothers and sisters safe. They all died out. You are the only true believer since the Apostles.
Will you now build a society based on that premise ?
Or does it already exist ?
The fallen world won't care if Christians, or anyone else, are killed.
All societies are built on the premise of order and organizing of society. It's not about me building anything.

The disobedient are not of Christ.
Which is why you and me are not brothers in Christ. You deny all other Christians except yourself. Which is fine but you are alone.
Your only cite the motives of the unconverted/unrepentant.
It is those still walking in and after the "flesh", that you use as examples.

Hypotheticals don't interest me.
Pray for God's guidance and protection from such occurrences before they happen, and He will make it so.
They don't interest you because you can't deal with them. It's not hard to answer. Is preventing a murder more sinful than allowing the murder to go ahead?
The same resistance will hamper the preachers of righteousness until the Lord's return.
Thankfully, some really want to do the Lord's will.
Your church had no preachers during the time of Islamic expansion so I don't see any point in continuing this. You aren't part of the historic Christian Church and your fellow Gnostics ceased to exist. So I guess it's not relevant for you.

Faith without works explained

She is believed by some faithdul members of Roman Catholic doctrine to be a patron saint for releaving headaches and migraines. Hopefully she is of some help to faithful RC believers.
That's a little tiny part of what she's about-and that practice became popular with some only because it was known that she, herself, suffered from those particular maladies. But she was extremely knowledgable about the faith as well as one of the most spiritual people the church has known. A true heart for God who contributed greatly to our understanding of Him and His love.
More than a few RC priests and faithful RC parents believe that when their infant is sprinkled with holy water the infant/child is saved or born again. However, the length of time a saved (born again) RC adult may have to spend in purgatory depends on their sins ...

In Roman Catholic doctrine it's a place or state of suffering inhabited by the souls of sinners who are expiating their sins before going to heaven.
That belief and practice was received at the very beginning of our Christian faith, in all the churches in both the east and west. Jesus both modeled and commanded baptism and so we do as He instructs. Salvation also entails a corporate aspect so whole households could be saved by virtue of the faith of one according to Acts 16:31 and the church has taught that the faith of the family and community stand in for the infant until they're old enough to confirm- or deny-their baptismal vows, until their own faith can take hold, IOW, baptism being known as "the sacrament of faith" to begin with (the sacrament is actually considered to be worthless apart from faith). But at the end of the day we'll be judged by our hearts in any case, which God knows far better than any of us do. The Catholic Church puts the ultimate judgement this way, quoting a 16th century believer in this case:
"At the evening of life we shall be judged on our love."

A state of final purification has been part of Christian teachings from early on as well-along with prayers for the dead which was also a Jewish practice. Only the pure of heart will see God-and until then we're still attracted to other, lesser things than Him first above all else. We need to be "perfected in love" as John put it. Then we'll want to see Him-and will be capable of receiving that gift which is the very purpose of our existence.
