How does keeping the government closed down help the American people? The Republicans are NOT going to make significant changes to the law passed in the Spring. They will simply keep the government closed until enough Democrats decide that it is time for the remaining federal workers to go back to work.

This only means that the elect will persevere, which is redundant since of course the elect will make it into heaven. But we cannot predict our perseverance with absolute certainty, the quality of our own soil. Again, there will be some who thought they were His, but who were not.

Of course they exist-that's one aspect of what becoming a new creation means. Now with God, man can do what he could not do apart from Him. The purpose of the gospel is to restore friendship and union between man and God, and that union is the basis and source of man's authentic righteousness. Man fails, he falls into unrighteouness, injustice, when he attempts to go it alone, IOW, as Adam did, and this world has the purpose of helping us come to learn that very fact-so we'll begin coveting more, finally "coveting" God as we come to know Him via His revelation and grace, instead of all the other lesser, created things that we covet above Him in this world while seeking a happiness and fulfillment and satisfaction that cannot come to us apart from Him.

That article, incidentally, doesn't say what you think it says (or, at least, it doesn't relate to my post - I can't tell what you actually think it says because you didn't provide any of your own thoughts). It's about state funding, and the possibility that some states might (incorrectly) request federal reimbursement for care that they grant to illegal immigrants under their state laws. Neither version of the federal law (the changes made in the BBB or the original version I linked) makes that legal.

Ok, Clapper and Wray may have been dishonesty, but thousands of federal employees have served under multiple presidents and remained dedicated to America.

So, describing thousands of federal employees as acting contrary to the will of the people is not an accurate characterization.

The 3 1/2 days that Jesus was in the tomb, fulfilled the 'Sign of Jonah'. Which doesn't fit with 'a little while, again a little while'.

According to whose or what standard? Yours? Do you know better than God, what was or is the best way to prevent rapes from happening? People might NOT buy the premise that Democrats now have changed their position, but people will probably not see the more hidden premise that taxpayer funded health benefits for illegal aliens was never an issue of disagreement. It's like making up something to fight over. If it's propaganda, that looks like some effective mind manipulation.
