Dozens of OB-GYNs fled Idaho after its abortion ban. Medicaid cuts could make access to care even worse.

The question was: do they? My follow-up is: if they do care, then what are they doing about it?

Miscarriages occur much more often than live births. It's actually the norm.

Well, you're forgetting that birth control exists. But even if used 100% correctly, the 1% failure rate is going to mean a million unwanted pregnancies a year in the US alone. You're not going to adopt or abstain your way of of that figure.

Christianity and the GOP disagree with the majority of society on which consequences are acceptable, and they're trying to force their minority views on everyone.
ALSO, ALSO, there are plenty of atheists, secular, and Democratic/left people who are proudly pro life. Their political persuasion or lack of religion has nothing to do with it.

Even the late Christopher Hitchens, an “anti-theist,” admitted the unborn were indeed human, he wasn’t opposed to it, because I suspect his followers would be upset with him.

Who writes the laws? Not the voters

I’m very much aware. But a viable pregnancy shouldn’t be aborted because the child is unwanted. That’s beyond cruel and selfish.

I’m aware birth control exists, and it’s not always effective. If it fails it doesn’t justify having an abortion. Period, again? Don’t want to 100% be a parent? Don’t have sex. It’s not that difficult.

Also, Christianity is meant to be countercultural, but this post isn’t about Christianity.

It’s about protecting the most innocent.

JPPT1974's Tues Thoughts 8/26/2025:
Zeroing in on how that
We need to pray for those
In countries that can't show
Emotions or dignity even
Sadly as they are being controlled
To do what they are told not
Doing what they NEED to do and
WANT to do as Christ made us to
Express over on those emotions.

If you CAN find a replacement battery, it costs more than the original product. And disposing of the batteries is a problem.
Yes, you are right. I found one replacement, which was going for almost 80 bucks! More than the actual tool.

Cracker Barrel loses almost $100 million.

Try asking it what I asked: Why do customers feel that the changes to cracker barrel are woke?
You're just baiting to get a response that you want. Customers don't think it has to do with wokeness. Right wing talking heads don't like change and accuse wokeness for the change regardless of why the change occurred.
The press and social media are reporting that customers are calling it a woke agenda.
Right wing news is saying this and their audience follows like puppets.

Really punishment for showing
Emotions like in countries like
Russia when a simple protest
Could get someone arrested and
How complaining about a dictator
Could get someone either imprisoned or
Killed as silly but very sad and tragic
As it sounds and is as they live in a
Dystopian world in it.

Yes, some laws need to be better written and I don’t disagree with that at all. And YES, people can care about both. Good grief.
The question was: do they? My follow-up is: if they do care, then what are they doing about it?
Abortion is deliberate taking of a life. Sometimes miscarriage randomly occur.
Miscarriages occur much more often than live births. It's actually the norm.
Not ready to be a parent? Don’t have sex. Simple really.

(I’m not referring to sexual assault here, only consensual sex between two adults)

Actions lead to consequences.
Christianity and the GOP disagree with the majority of society on which consequences are acceptable, and they're trying to force their minority views on everyone.

How life is all about
Showing moods and that we
Can live in a free country like the
United States of America among the
Countries and how that can have
Over in that expression and freedom
But sadly in countries that are communism or
Socialist that if they express even one ounce of
Emotion they could be punished sad however true!

I even got a corded lawn mower. I don't buy battery-operated tools anymore. The batteries stop working and you cannot find replacements. I have a power drill that was pretty good mechanically, but the battery no longer charges and there are no replacement batteries. Hence = junk.

If you CAN find a replacement battery, it costs more than the original product. And disposing of the batteries is a problem.

JPPT1974's Daily Devotions

JPPT1974's Tues Thoughts 8/26/2025:
God made children to be
In guidance but also to have
Fun as you are only a kid only
One time and how that Jesus
Loved children when the Disciples
Well meaning but kinda rude wanting the
Children to not be with Christ but Christ says
To have faith you have to be child like.

JPPT1974's Daily Devotions

Life is about watching them
Grow and how that they will
Have to make their own decisions
If you are a mother as I have my mom,
Sister, sister in law, a niece, and three
Nieces in laws as mothers knowing that
They need to give up control for God
Over in their children and hopefully in
Their children's children one day.

What is left but mockery?

Yet whether because of unjust rules, not supporting truth nor seeking truth,
or the majority of visitors having no notion of what is truth nor what is right,
what is to be expected any differently ? As Jesus is opposed, so also truth is replaced with false and theories and fairytales, eh?
When has anyone on this forum learned anything, or changed his opinion, or even learned a new and exciting point to support his existing views? Rarely, I think.
and sadly what is false and what is misleading is vastly supported , defended, and "popular" instead of honesty or truth.

I, for one, have learned lots from all the different sections of the forums. I didn't know squat about evolution before I came here, now I know lots.

Lost

As one grows and understand more, he is likely to see what has been told about Jesus is true and this becomes the foundation of a growing faith. Once a person has become a Christian, it can be difficult to understand that we are supposed to stop living for ourselves (selfishness) and begin to learn to walk by the Holy Spirit (the selfless loive of Christ). Most Christians are not even aware of this option.
Hello timf.
What was doing Charles Blondin is to gamble over life. What Jesus proposes is not. As for the life of the soul, it seems to me it's even the opposite
