Illegal Immigration

This one is even more recent:

62% back Trump’s larger push to remove migrants who entered the US illegally

Even that poll shows that most Americans disapprove of his tactics.

Voters Welcome Immigration Curbs but Say Tactics Go Too Far, WSJ Poll Finds

The poll found just over half of voters approve of Trump’s handling of illegal immigration, a centerpiece of his agenda, and that 62% of respondents favor deporting people who came to the country illegally. But the Trump administration’s mechanisms and levers for doing so are proving unpopular.

58% of voters oppose detaining and deporting people believed to be in the U.S. illegally without them seeing a judge or getting a hearing.
58% oppose deporting immigrants to prisons in other countries, such as El Salvador and South Sudan, where they have no personal connections.
62% say the government is simply deporting as many people as possible regardless of whether they have criminal records.
A slim majority of Americans hold an unfavorable view of ICE, while 45% hold a favorable view of the agency.

RCP's average of more than a dozen polls also shows that most Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of immigration.

Bank executives blow the whistle on how Obama, Biden admins pressured them to debank conservatives

You just read what they were doing. That's ok, I expect nothing less.
And I expect nothing less from you as well. It really does look like you are totally okay with the federal government weaponizing banks against the political opponents of the Obama and Biden administration. Re-read the article in the op and then once again come back and post whether or not you are okay with that.

What did they teach you in school , flat or round earth?

This reply was to someone who has been dallying in a multitude of exercises in futility , apparently without any good reason to do so.
However, the point of a stationary earth was addressed by Einstein and many other top scientists or mathematicians decades ago --- besides what Scripture says --- a stationary earth is more of a fact proven than a moving earth .

Yes like the Morley experiment which they aggressively refute, by saying the aether does not exists when in fact it certainly does.

Leave out the "flat" and the point is better realized. "Flat" is non-provable.

Will do - Thanks.

While the majority of people are not seeking truth, but convenience or comfortableness or anything else....

They say that 'ignorance is bliss' which is true in this case, most people can't except the truth as it's what they have been indoctrinated into all of their lives.

Historic Poll Devastates Democrats: Worst Voter Approval Rating in 35 Years

I don’t think there will be enough voters, even in her party to bring a win for her.

Not because she is a woman, but because her policies are out of touch with majority of her own base

Like Bernie
What specific policies are you referring to?

Seems to me, AOC, much like Bernie has been, could become a strong proponent for working people issues. I think she may need a bit more experience in public service before she makes a run for the Oval Office, but I'd like to see her try. Certainly, the Democratic party, and US politics in general, could use some new, younger blood.

-- A2SG, I'd also love to see Katie Porter make a run for it as well...and she's ready now, no more experience necessary, just a bigger white board....

Questions and Answers

The answer to your question......
2 Esdras 13:22-24.....as to who will survive the last days, is this; The very person from whom judgement will come, will protect those exposed to danger, if they have good deeds and faith laid up to their credit with God Most High. Be assured that those who survive are more blessed than those who die.
2 Esdras 9:1-13 Watch carefully – when you see that some signs predicted have passed. Then you will understand that the time has come for the Most High to judge the world that He has created.

When the world experiences earthquakes, plots among the nations, unstable government and panic of the rulers, then you will know the time of the end, marked by the manifestation of the Lord’s power.

All who come safely through and escape destruction, thanks to their good deeds or the faith they have shown, will survive the dangers I have foretold and witness the salvation I shall bring to My Land, the place that I have set apart for all eternity for My own.

All who in their lifetime failed to acknowledge Me, in spite of the benefits I brought them, all who disdained My Law while freedom was still theirs, who scornfully dismissed the idea of penitence while the way was still open – all these must learn the truth through torments after their death, Do not ask what will happen to the godless, but know the just will be saved; the world is theirs and for their sake it exists.
Reference, Revised English Bible Apocrypha

Romans 9:22-23 But if it is indeed Gods purpose to display His retribution and make His power known, can it be that He has with great patience tolerated vessels made for destruction, precisely in order to make known His glory unto vessels that are to be objects of His mercy – prepared from the first for glory.

Trump: “I want to try and get to heaven, if possible,”

Yes. But he’s from a Presbyterian/Reformed background. He considers himself a non-denominational Christian and doesn’t go to Church.

He was married to his third wife, a Catholic, in an Episcopalian Church, which believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

Neither were Episcopalian, though.

Melania is Catholic, but I have no idea if she regularly attends Mass.

Barron was baptized Episcopalian.

Regardless, for any Christian, calling Holy Communion a “cracker” is inappropriate because it’s a holy sacrament. Period.
His being Presbyterian/Reformed/NonDenominational is no excuse for saying that.

OMGosh! I always think he can’t stoop any lower, then he does. Was this recently? I hadn’t heard this.

Trump: “I want to try and get to heaven, if possible,”

I would never say 'then you go up and have your little sip of wine and a cracker'. I was raised as an Anglican and took communion myself. I know what it means to people. I reckon if I did say it then it might well be reported for being flippant if not sacrilegious.
Thanks

Trump Threatens Federal Takeover of Washington After Member of DOGE Is Assaulted

It's becoming obvious to everyone that they don't venture into SE, armed or otherwise.
Yeah, the Air Force base is in SE. While I was stationed there, a woman shot right in front of the Base Exchange (a military store like a Target). It turned out she was hit by a stray round from a gang fight that occurred in an apartment complex on high ground outside the base.

I was also mugged at gunpoint twice in 72 hours just outside the base. The second time, the mugger pushed the barrel of the gun into my right kidney and pulled the trigger...but the gun jammed. He cursed it and ran off with my wallet. I sat down and reflected on my life for a while.

Christians and Fictional Afterlife

I've thought about those stories.

Someone dies here and is reincarnated into a world with magic.

The element of magic in the equation results in the deterioration of the world over time and the world becomes as hell. Usually the story arc told through these stories is a moment of triumph .. but does this last?

What if reincarnation is hell? Just a thought.
Considering there is 15 dead people for every 1 living person, reincarnation makes no sense.

A majority of human beings who ever lived are long dead.

An estimate about 100 billion human beings ever walked the earth, only 8.2 billion are living.

Trump: “I want to try and get to heaven, if possible,”

THANK YOU!

As a Christian, calling Holy Communion a cracker is just uncalled for. But Trump admitted he regularly doesn’t go to Church or ask forgiveness for his sins.

I’ll leave it at that.

And yes, I’m aware you’re an atheist ;)

NT Wright says marriage won’t exist in Heaven, but love will be transformed

That would seem to mesh with the biblical understanding of justice; the child who died in infancy will not have any less joy than the person who had a full and rich childhood. The one who was shunned in this life will discover an abundance of fellowship in the Age to Come.

That fills me with much hope! Glory to God in all things! :)

Idolatry

There were literally "graven images" of cherubim upon the Ark which covered the kapporet where the Divine Glory--the Shekinah--dwelt.

So clearly depictions like this were not violations of the 1st Commandment's prescription against worshiping other gods and idolatry.

-CryptoLutheran
Amen, my brother in Christ!

Statues and icons are NOT idolatry because they aren’t being worshipped.

God alone is worshipped. Period!
