I know God *can* use any method He wishes to communicate with us. I'm just trying to figure out what is actually coming from Him or not.

For instance, I will see an ad, read a blog or something of that nature that coincides with thoughts I'm having and I'm wondering if God is telling me what He wants me to do through those things. But then I'm not entirely sure, so I don't want to go against what He's telling me by not following what I'm seeing. I'll try to make it make sense.

Here's an example (and this isn't actually what I'm seeing in particular): seeing information everywhere about becoming a missionary or hearing people talk about it and it correlates with thoughts at the same moment, like say I'm thinking about my desire to become a researcher and as I'm having that thought, an ad pops up about being a missionary or someone on the radio talks about their story. Or having a thought about what God wants from me and a Christian leader starts talking about the calling for a missionary. So then I feel like God is saying no, He doesn't want me to do what I originally wanted to, but to be a missionary instead and then I'll wonder if I'm not following Him if I try to pursue what I wanted. Hopefully that makes sense! Again, this wasn't my particular case, but I will get things like this for different themes in my life. Coincidences that just seem to line up and match the thoughts I'm having, whether it be through conversation with someone, something I read, something I see, etc. I just don't know what to make of it all and how to go about it. I don't want to disobey God! I'll keep seeing all these coincidences that seem like signs, and at the same time I feel sad if God is telling me He doesn't want me to have my desires.

I had a dream that i was demoted at work. For accepting a job at a metal repair shop from a customer and i didnt take it up with the boss. I went to the bosses office. And i was just going to apologize for not taking it up with him. And a coworker was there with him. And the boss explained that he was demoting me and offering my position to the coworker, before any words even left my lips.

So i woke up. Searched around youtube for a sermon at 530am for maybe half an hour.

Then i fell asleep again.

Definitely a long dream. I will do my best to relay. I was just living life. Essentially. In a really nice house, nice lawn and community. Then my employer was acting really wierd at the shop. Laying on top of me, while he interviewed a new employee. "Are you a good worker?" "Yes, Very proficient" later in the office he just kept hugging me for awkwardly long moments. I kept patting his back so that he would let go.

As the dream carried on i realized that the boss was having all the employees murdered and having them replaced with a completely new crew, which i figured was probably why he was hugging me earlier. I went through a labyrinthine community evading all the new hires that essentially were trying to murder me, and i witnessed graphic muders, and some were sent to another dimension altogether through portals, in place of killing them.

Talk about wierd. Especially since they were separate dreams. Basically about the same thing.

And if it means that God is mad at me, thats....gonna be very...hard to deal with.

America cannot even protect kids in school from gun crime. Especially when Christian pastor calls for gays to be executed.

I blasted a former land lord today in a Yelp review because they were extremely punitive in their close out fees and I had put up with a lot from them and believed I deserved better from them especially since they often did not hold up to their own end of things. I'm OK with what I wrote as far as my conscience goes but thought it might make an interesting thread because some Christians have different ideas about things like: gossip and back biting, getting revenge, and the general duties of Christians when it comes to warning the public.


My review of my former landlord (Company name withheld) in case you are interested or curious....

• I must second the bad reviews! I was going to give them a two-star rating because there were a few times they did give me timely help when I needed it, but I felt the need to warn the public off this property management company.
  
  1) All the stuff about them doing everything possible to extract money from you is true.
  
  A) I would emphasize the new scheme is to try to keep locking you into a yearly lease, rather than let you go month to month after the first year or two. Basically, they are always engineering to either move in a hurry when it is inconvenient or extend the lease so they can extract a lot of money from you when you have to move because that next big life change, new job etc.
  
  B) They are extremely punitive of enforcing the letter of the lease when it comes to any nickel and dime way to charge you. For example, if you were to leave behind some small easy to carry thing for a Maintenace guy like a step ladder (because you have a much better one than the one, he uses), they will charge $50 as if you were leaving a large hard to carry sofa. This kind of thing is very aggravating due to what I'm writing in 2) and is the main reason why I am writing this my first Yelp review.
  
  2) While they are extremely punitive, and I will add threatening in their communications (warning you of some new problem and how if you are found doing such and such you might be evicted), while they are often themselves really guilty of delivering a below average product where you can find yourself living in slum conditions due to no fault of your own.
  
  For example, I had a persistent black mold problem in a spare bedroom that hounded me persistently until it was nearly time to move out. (The problem was temporarily solved with bleach etc. but they never really were able to get to the root of it because their staff was always busy with other projects until I was a month from moving out....
  
  Another example, I had a one foot by one foot hole in my bathroom ceiling above the tub/shower due to faulty building maintenance and negligence (a water leak of the upstairs apartment and workers ignoring my banging on the door that water was leaking!). This was not repaired until about two weeks before we had inspectors come so the company could keep it's rental license.
  
  Besides all this they are fussy about having "assigned parking", yet they do not bother to actually mark the spaces with a sign or paint them. Basically, it is up to you to realize you are so many spaces from the dumpster etc. And I'm not sure how people ever know which spaces are for visitors other than keep their occasional mail notices on the topic and give them to any guests that might be staying with them.
  
  In addition to all the above, they are not set up like your typical landlord, or Property Management company. By this I mean there is no office that is in town, or at least easy to get to that you can walk in give them your check in the first three days of the month while you are doing errands etc. Their office is not set up to receive visitors at least not renters, and do not expect the customary three day grace period on your rent at the start of the month.
  
  Anyway, unless you are in danger of being homeless and got nobody else to rent from, I advise you to look elsewhere.

Hi there, I'm new here.

Not at all sure if this is the right place to post this topic, but I'm interested in hearing from other Christians (believers/followers of Jesus) who have had unusual spiritual experiences that are not explained by religion?

I have been grappling with it for a while, and a lot to cover, but I'll try to keep the timeline as short as possible for now.

I came from a broken family, between 18months and 4 years old I was given to my Grandmother to raise me who was herself a 'Christian', but was steeped more in traditional religious beliefs (she grew up catholic and 'converted' to Christianity in her early 20s). Anyway, I have snippets of memory going to church with her. The preacher always wore a black suit, white shirt and red bow tie. I remember asking if he was God. Being young, I mostly slept through the services. I returned to my family home (Father, step mother and siblings) very much on the outside looking in growing up, never seemed to fit in anywhere at home or at school. At 10 I returned to live with my Grandmother. Although I was happy there, the religious beliefs I still never understood, although in my heart I believed in God, so the teachings must have made an impact in the early years. My Nan believed Jesus was the son of God who died in the Cross for our sin, but the majority of any discussion was around God the father, which led me to see God as the dictator in the sky, like many do. I never really prayed, my Nan use to go into her room and kneel beside the bed and put her hands toge

Modern day Christians have let homosexuality take over the minds of our youth. The worship of the trend “right is wrong and left is right” - something that has absolutely no meaning has tainted our minds giving power to the homosexual community. This has left us confused of our principles of being God fearing peoples, forcing some to walk in complete circles. We have also strayed enough for proclamations of Bible heroic figures to be overtaken by mere fear of superstition. Works of scripture such as “666” was always supposed to pay homage to the Judaism origins of the Holy Bible - the Old Testament. Because of concepts such as these Judaism and Christianity not been and to flourish and prosper together in peace!

If i wake up 7am and fast until end time 7pm (night). Can i eat 2 meals before the morning sunrise to repeat the partial fast again for the next day?

31.77% of Congress is taking an oath while denying Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution. They are the "enemies, foreign and domestic" that Article II is speaking about. They are questioning an election that was fairly won two years ago and has stood up to dozens of baseless investigations.

Georgia is to be commended for reelecting a national hero--Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger, who stood up for the truth despite risking his career.

What do we do when 31.77% of our federal representatives are the "domestic enemies" the Constitution warned us against?

In the last 20 years, technology has transformed the search for life in our galaxy.

Astronomers have found over 50 potentially habitable worlds and built a new network of radio telescopes to scan the stars for signals.

Many scientists believe we could be on the brink of detecting the first evidence of extraterrestrial life.

The question is, is there other life in our own galaxy? Its probable in fact its highly likely given how big the Milky-way galaxy is. Earth is located in one of the arms of the Milky-Way, you wouldn't even be able to spot out solar system in the amount of stars there are in our galaxy.

Will we find life anytime soon? I don't think we will but that doesn't mean to say there isn't any out there.

If someone is 1 of 10 on the look scale, and is horrible ugly with no chance to improve his looks, is it not possible then that people
will be ashamed to be viewed with this person? This person would drag down their social status. Its hard
being friend with someone who everytime they look at you they are almost puking because of how unattractive you are.

Many have told me that im so ugly that nobody is gonna want to have me as a friend IRL. Im so ugly people dont even view
me as a human, they view me as some alien species from Star Trek or something.

Im talking about IRl friends now, not internet friends.

I know, nobody is ugly in Gods eyes, and that is what is most important. Im talking about human beings now only. We are living in a shallow modern society.

And I'm not talking about people who have morning coffee with Jesus every day and hear him crystal clear.

I'm talking about people like myself who are in the dark. In a dark place physically and mentally and have prayed and can't hear God.

How does one continue to love God?

I just have nothing left bc I feel I shouldn't have to twist God's arm to get him to care about My situation.

I also don't see God's love or compassion of he's able to help but refuses to do so.

Some contend that Mary was a sinner like any other human being.
Some contend that Mary had other children after the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Some contend that Mary must have been saved by grace because she sinned.

A growing measles outbreak in Columbus, Ohio, has sickened more than a dozen unvaccinated children and hospitalized nine of them, and local public health officials are seeking assistance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

As of Friday morning, Columbus Public Health officials updated their investigation to include 19 confirmed cases, and more suspected, at 10 daycare centers and two schools.

“All cases are in unvaccinated children, and all but one are less than 4 years old. One child is 6 years old,” Newman said.

About 90% of unvaccinated people who are exposed to measles will become infected, according to Columbus Public Health, and about 1 in 5 people in the US who get measles will be hospitalized.
