Please pray for my friend Bob S who has a really bad virus and my other friend Angie G whose Mom has cancer

I have a good friend BoB S. and another friend Angie G. who live in Arizona. Bob is very sick and unable to get decent cough medicine thanks to the illicit fentanyl crisis and Angie lost her Dad less than a year ago and now her Mom has Stage 3 lung cancer so she is sitting with her doing chemo. Just pray that the Lord if in His will that he would bring comfort, healing, and the best medicine and doctors that can be found for what each is struggling with.

Blessings to all,
Jeff

Its… The Lambs Book of Life!

The "7 church ages" Prophecy. I have heard this prophecy started by "quacks" and agree that this can be true. Especially when such people make themselves the "angel" of the church age as if all knees should bow to them. My beliefs are that the churches came along as follows....

The purpose of Revelation was to reveal what was going to come to pass....

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.... - Revelation 1:1

Which all of this was to heavy for just ordinary churches in Asia that did not amount to anything....

The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; - Revelation 1:20 - Revelation 2:1

Ephesus - Messianic - Beginning with the Apostle to the Circumcision, Peter
Smyrna - Martyr - Beginning with the Apostle to the Un-Circumcision, Paul
Pergamos - Orthodoxy formed in this time... Pergos is a tower... Needed in the dark ages
Thyatira - Catholicism formed in this time - The spirit of Jezebel is to control and to dominate.
Sardis - Protestantism formed in this time- A sardius is a gem - elegant yet hard and rigid
Philadelphia - Wesleyism formed in this time - To be sanctioned is to acquire it with love.
Laodicea - Charismatic movement formed in this time - Beginning with DL Moody, the first to make money off of ministry

Candlesticks - Seven church congregations
Stars - Individuals within the congregations, all held in the right hand of Christ
Seals - The seven seals sealed each congregation within the lambs book of life
Angels - The current preacher to the congregation.

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. - Revelation 5:4

If this interpretation is not correct why all the ado? I believe the churches came down as seven and each congregation is different in their generation. When the final chapter is sealed it will be time for the plagues to begin as it did on Sodom and Gomorrah….

24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together. - Luke 17

A bird with a T. rex head may help reveal how dinosaurs became birds

Dinosaurs to Birds: Few fossils bridge the gap between dinosaur and bird. This one could help fill in some details

Illustration of a Cratonavis bird from 120 million years ago as it catches prey. We see into the bird's wings as if it were an x-ray.

Cratonavis, a newly discovered bird from 120 million years ago, might have filled a similar niche as today’s raptors.

A 120-million-year-old fossil bird found in China could offer some new clues about how landbound dinosaurs evolved into today’s flying birds. The dove-sized Cratonavis zhui sported a dinosaur-like head atop a body similar to those of today’s birds, researchers report in the January Nature Ecology & Evolution.
...It’s among just a handful of specimens that belong to a recently identified group of intermediate birds known as the jinguofortisids, says Luis Chiappe, a paleontologist at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County who was not involved in the study. Its dino-bird mishmash “is not unexpected.” Most birds discovered from the Age of Dinosaurs exhibited more primitive, toothed heads than today’s birds, he says. But the new find “builds on our understanding of this primitive group of birds that are at the base of the tree of birds.”
Cratonavis also had an unusually elongated scapula and hallux, or backward-facing toe. Rarely seen in Cretaceous birds, enlarged shoulder blades might have compensated for the bird’s otherwise underwhelming flight mechanics, the researchers say. And that hefty big toe? It bucks the trend of shrinking metatarsals seen as birds continued to evolve. Cratonavis might have used this impressive digit to hunt like today’s birds of prey, Li’s team says.

CAN A BELIEVER BE ACCURSED ?

Gal 1:9 reads As we have said before , I say also just now again , Since someone is preaching the GOSPEL to you CONTRARY to what you received . let him be ACCURSED .

#2 Can this be a believer ?

#3 There were some that did not PREACH what Paul , PLANTED ?

#4 What was Paul's message that he PLANTED ?

#5 I have seen some on other sites where Paul , preached the same message as Peter , is that true ?

Ten Commandments in the Garden of Eden

I found this interesting article about the Ten Commandments in the Garden of Eden.

Many Christians, including myself a while ago, believe that God first made His Ten Commandments known on mount Sinai. However, in this blog post, we are going to show that God ‘covertly’ revealed the Ten Commandments in the beginning, in the Garden of Eden to Adam and Eve, our first parents. It is a Revelation by Grace!

But how was this discovery made? Ironically, we discovered it in the last book of the Bible, in the book of Revelations 3:14-22, the letter to the church of Laodicea.

In the letter to the church of Laodicea, Jesus Christ addresses the church of today, the last church period in church history, the church of Laodicea, and states that it is naked and needs to buy of Him white raiment to cover the shame of its nakedness.

So the question we have to ask is, how did the church of Laodicea become naked in the first place, and what is this white raiment Jesus Christ strongly recommended as the remedy to our state of nakedness?

After going through the Bible, we discover there’s a similar situation of nakedness and white raiments in the book of Genesis in the story of Adam and Eve. Meaning if we study what occurred in the Garden of Eden that caused Adam and Eve to become naked, we can understand why the church of Laodicea is naked today. But wait a minute? How were Adam and Eve clothed at their creation in the first place before they became naked? From Psalm 8:5 and Isaiah 61:10, we learn that at their creation, God clothed Adam and Eve with glory and honor in garments of light (white), which represented the righteousness of God. So basically, God clothed Adam and Eve just as He and the angels were, in garments of white or light.

So the next logical question is that what then is the Righteousness of God? From Psalm 119:172, Isaiah 51:6-7, 1 John 5:17 and 1 John 3:4, we learn that the Righteousness of God is His everlasting covenant, the Ten Commandments, which is His Holy law. Not the Mosaic law! There’s a difference between the two.

This means that in the Garden of Eden, God clothed Adam and Eve with His Holy Law, which was represented by the white garments, and when they sinned and disobeyed Him, they lost that robe of righteousness and became naked! By eating the fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, which God commanded them not to eat, Adam and Eve sinned and broke the Ten Commandments in the Garden of Eden, therefore losing the garment of white, which is the righteousness of God.

Now that we are on the same page, we can now proceed to tackle the question, which of the Ten Commandments did Adam and Eve break? The answer is the full monty, all the ten at once!

“Thou shalt not eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,” cannot be found in the 10 Commandments, however, in the simple statement, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die,” God places all the principles of the 10 Commandments.

The purpose of this blog post is to show by eating of that fruit, Adam and Eve broke all the ten commandments.

The first point we have to consider is the Bible’s definition of sin found in 1 John 3:4 “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law,” meaning whenever we sin, we transgress an element of the Ten Commandments.

The second point to note is that the law of God is spiritual, according to Romans 7:14, where Paul states, “For we know that the Law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.” Why is the Law of God spiritual? We find the answer in Jesus’s conversation with the Samaritan woman in John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” Since the Creator of the universe and author of the 10 Commandments is Spirit, it is just natural that the document He authored is also in Spirit.

Usually, when we think of the 10 Commandments, we look at it literally as a list of 10 to do things. However, when we look at it from a spiritual point of view, we see that it’s more than ten and more profound than we can imagine. The number 10 in the Bible symbolizes ordinal perfection in the totality of God’s government. Psalm 119:96 states, “I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.” It is limitless and encompasses every sin under the universe, and the angels are also subject to it just as we are. It is similar to the parables of the ten virgins (Matt 25:1-13), the ten lepers (Luke 17:11-19), the ten talents (Matt 25:14-30), and the ten minas (Luke 19:12-27). The number ten used in all these parables are prophetic and symbolic of the totality of the faithful.

Also, the law being Spirit should not be surprising because even laws written by humans is said to be in letter and Spirit. Constitutions of nations and governments are argued both in letter and spirit, so how much more the law that was written by God, who is Spirit? The Spirit of the law is the profound purpose, intention, and reasoning behind the letter of the law that we see. It is the part of the law that we do not see, but the more critical component of the law. Whenever we change the letter of the law it means that we have also changed the reason and original intent, which is the foundation upon which the law sits, which is the most critical aspect of the law. That is why the Lord warned us in Proverbs 22:28, “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.” An example between letter and spirit of the law at home when your parents tell their teenagers not to have premarital sex until they are responsible adults. The teenager may not be happy and understand because they want to experience it. However, the spirit behind the law is that the parent is protecting their adolescent child from getting teenage pregnancy, which could derail their education and future stability or contracting an STD, which could end their life.

Part 2 to follow…

Sorry, Anglicans, There Is No Third Way

Hard-liners on both sides of the same-sex marriage issue are right: there is no middle ground

I received not long ago an e-mail from a reader who says that her Methodist congregation is in the midst of a conversation about whether or not to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church over gay marriage. The reader shared the arguments for both sides in her moderately conservative congregation, and asked what I thought. Looking at her list of "stay" arguments, I saw a bunch of propositions that were either deceptive (self-deceptive?) or wishful thinking. The stay argument, as she presents it, amounts to this: If we leave, we will be breaking fellowship with a national organization that has been good to us, and we will side with the closed-minded who are unwelcoming to diverse points of view. We want to stay open to all. Besides, we have been told by state leaders that they will respect our congregational autonomy, and will do their best to send us pastors who are a good fit for our more conservative congregation.

I told the reader that this is all eyewash, whether the proponents of that argument realize it or not. I don't know that congregation, of course, but I can imagine that at least some of the conservatives are not at all ideological. When I was growing up in a Methodist church in the 1970s and early 1980s, you could call it conservative, but its conservatism had almost nothing to do with doctrine or politics, and everything to do with the fact that the congregation cherished stability, and wanted things to stay the same. I went through a brief period of Evangelical intensity when I was twelve and thirteen, and asked my mom to take me to worship at the local Baptist church, which I believed took doctrine more seriously. It wasn't that our family's Methodist parish was liberal, but rather that it avoided taking stands on anything, and folks seemed to like it that way. Its conservatism, at least during my childhood, was entirely temperamental. Point is, the term "conservative" can mean different things.

Fauci, Collins SQUASHED Lab Leak, Aimed To 'DISPROVE' Theory After A WEEK Of Debate: Report

"Independent reporter Jimmy Tobias weighs in on emails from the NIH that reveal an effort to rule out lab leak as a theory behind Covid-19's origin. "

The video talks about the final unredacted documents concerning the first talk and investigation of Covid.

The documents don't really show the thought process behind them eventually going with the Evolutionary theory of the virus (that it somehow developed from nature) rather than it being some kind of manmade creation. Basically, if you distrust Fauci, believe decisions were made for political and personal reasons etc. (as I do) then there is plenty of reasoning to continue on with that.

Quote
"What were Andersen’s concerns? And why were they so dire they might merit a call to the FBI?

Andersen laid them out plainly in an email to Fauci that same evening. “The unusual features of the virus make up a really small part of the genome (<0.1%) so one has to look really closely at all the sequences to see that some of the features (potentially) look engineered,” Andersen wrote in the email. “I should mention,” he added, “that after discussions earlier today, Eddie, Bob, Mike and myself all find the genome inconsistent with expectations from evolutionary theory. But we have to look at this much more closely and there are still further analyses to be done, so those opinions could still change.”

Thus began a scramble to probe in private the origin of SARS-CoV-2...." Quote

More Leftist Terrorism

Six more Antifa members were arrested in Atlanta after violent rioting and are being charged with domestic terrorism. Riots began after one of their own shot and seriously wounded a Georgia State police officer. When the police returned fire and killed the Antifa member, rich, white liberals poured into the streets, even from other states, to set fire to the city.

Sending tanks to Ukraine

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Berlin would not stand in the way if Poland decides to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron did not rule out sending heavy tanks to Ukraine.

How is it consistent to criticize the left for hating America AND not having an objective morality ?

I am not being cute, I honestly don't get it.
I get attacked for saying I think murder is wrong but I don't think murder is objectively wrong.
I am told I cannot really think murder is wrong if I don't think there is a God that objects to murder.
After attacking me the same person will make complaints about the people that "Hate America" and it is clear that someone that
thinks "Atheists cannot really believe murder is wrong because they cannot believe anything" do actually think "Atheists believe America is wrong"
W
Wrath&Grace
By atheism definition naturally the law and code of ethics lie on nothing pertaining to ultimate objectivity.

Dmitri Karamazov: "If God is not, then all is permissible". And Vice President at the Atheist Society at Cornell University in 2012 asserted that right & wrong is subjective to each individial, just we collectively objectify our subjections. Except for murderers.

Does that make sense?

5-hour workday!

Apparently they are contemplating implementing this! They either want to implement 5-hour workdays or have 8-hour workdays but only 4 days per week, everyone would have 3 days off per week! They already have only 6-hour workdays in France and Sweden and their societies still manage to function, studies are showing people are much happier and more productive when they do this! French people get 6-hour workdays, a mandatory long lunch break, and a mandatory 30 days of paid vacation per year! They are able to do this without their society becoming completely unglued!
Could A 5-Hour Workday Boost Well-Being And Productivity?

How do you know you are a Christian?

It is easy to think you are a Christian, but really not be born again. have heard of "fake Christians" and people who say they left Christianity. I have read it is a one-and-done deal because God does not take your salvation away, but also that repentance is required for salvation.

How do you know you personally are born again and will go to heaven?

Look at all of the fake so called believers around you. You know that you are saved if you have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. And you can see that God has done a work in your life of sanctification. The people that are saved say they are because they did something, I hope you see that my friend.

My brain got killed again

I don't know if I can live that long if my brain keeps getting killed over the same topics with my dad.

I have been given proper advice of remaining steadfast in my faith so that my dad would realize that I'm serious about it and back off. Instead it has the opposite effect.

It no longer matters if it's "good intentions" on his part. You know what they say about good intentions. My brain feels dead from the same exhausting conversations with him. My gosh I'm in my 40s, do I have to wait until I'm 65 to finally feel free to think what I want without reprimand? I won't have too many years left until dementia starts kicking in and I will realize that I've never been myself.

He and I do calm down and there's moments of rationality between us, but then the stuff hits the fan again. We do not fight, however. I call it "friendly biching" (censored) but even then, it takes a toll.

I wouldn't write a thread unless I were feeling really, really lousy right now. If I were to write a thread every time these kinds of discussions happened, you would never be able to see any of Michie's posts.

This Controversial German Bishop May Soon Be Vatican’s Doctrinal Head

Bishop Heiner Wilmer, who has been a vocal backer of the German Synodal Way’s most controversial proposals, is reportedly Pope Francis’s ‘probable’ pick to head the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith.

Just weeks ago, the appointment of a controversial German bishop to the influential role of prefect of the Dicastery of the Doctrine of the Faith was reportedly blocked by concerned cardinals, who urged Pope Francis against the appointment, Now, Bishop Heiner Wilmer is once again reported to be the Holy Father’s pick to head the Vatican’s office for doctrine.

Bishop Wilmer, who heads the German Diocese of Hildesheim and lamented four months ago that the German Synodal Way failed to approve text calling for radical changes to Church teaching on sexuality, was reportedly under strong consideration by Pope Francis to succeed Cardinal Luis Ladaria as the prefect for the Dicastery of the Doctrine of the Faith back in December. But an intervention from a number of high-ranking prelates, including, allegedly, the late Cardinal George Pell, questioned the doctrinal soundness of Bishop Wilmer, and reportedly dissuaded the Pope from moving forward with the selection — at least temporarily.

Now, according to the traditionalist Italian website Messa In Latino, Bishop Wilmer’s candidacy is under strong consideration by the Holy Father once more. An open letter from the website’s editorial board to Pope Francis describes Bishop Wilmer’s appointment as “probable.”

Pope Francis’s reported interest in Bishop Wilmer comes in the midst of the Vatican’s ongoing standoff with the German episcopacy over the controversial Synodal Way, a non-binding process in the German Catholic Church that is seeking heterodoxical changes to ecclesial governance, sacramental ordination, and teaching on sexuality.

Metropolitan Tikhon Visits Mexico! with pictures

Last week, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of the OCA concluded his pastoral visit to the OCA's Diocese of Mexico. Traditionally, the metropolitan visits every January, however this didn't happen the last few years because of covid related travel restrictions. His Beatitude was accompanied by His Eminences Archbishop Benjamin of San Fracisco and the West and Alejo of Mexico City and Mexico as well as some staff from the central administration of the OCA and a priest who served as translator (please keep Vladika Benjamin in your prayers, his Parkinson's is not well and he may have to retire sooner then intended).

While in Mexico, Vladika Tikhon made Padre Jose an archpriest (I met him at the All-American Council, good guy) and two people were tonsured readers. The real highlight, in my opinion, was the progress made on the Academia Pastoral Ortodoxa San Basilio (Orthodox Pastoral Academy of St Basil the Great) which is currently under construction in Hidalgo state north of Mexico City - the US equivalent would likely be like building something in Maryland. The academy graduated its first catechetical course for children and the students were presented with certificates. I believe a pastoral academy is one rank below a seminary and the plan is to educate laymen, readers, and subdeacons for the time being. In time, they will train deacons and priests.

As one can see, Orthodoxy continues to grow in Mexico. The OCA's diocese has parishes from as far north as Tijuana bordering the US to as far south as Chiapas bordering Guatemala with the bulk of them in the central parts of the country. A lot of Hispanics across Latin America are unhappy with the Catholic Church and are therefore leaving in droves usually towards Evangelicalism. However, there are many who desire a traditional way of worship and wisely turn to the Orthodox Church instead. The OCA's diocese there uses Spanish along with some indigenous languages unlike the other jurisdictions which will use Arabic, Greek and Russian sometimes imposing their cultural ways onto the Mexican people. Having met Vladika Alejo, some of the clergy, and some of the laity during the last All-American Council I will say this: what the Mexican Orthodox lack in wealth and resources, they more then make up for 1000 times over in faith and sincerity of faith.

This is all over twitter right now, apparently it’s only available in Italian right now and people are highly suspicious of why there’s no English copy available. Hopefully a good willed Catholic out there will translate it as soon as possible. If that happens I’ll definitely get one. The title translates as “What is Christianity?”
