I have little garden left compared to what it used to be like, mainly trying to keep the trees I do have alive. The only colour I have is little red flowers on a pineapple sage, which is a bright spot that gives me a smile.
It is an amazing plant in that it is SO tough.

It flowers throughout Autumn/Winter when there is little else, or in my case, nothing else!

yes, they are rockery plants, quite small, on our garden railway. The buildings are the village that my husband built.

Well this morning was 3C and about 16C today, the air was cool but the sun was in and out. It is getting cooler now and I have a lovely fire in my woodheater. There is nothing like it to make things cosy and homey.
The dogs and cat appreciate it too!
The weather bureau says we are going to get a cold snap from Wednesday.

I always admire people who can make things and your dear husband certainly can and has a lot of skill.
My father, when he was alive used to be able to turn his hand to a lot of things, you would say " I'd like to get one of those....." and he would disappear down to his shed and come up later with it.
I fear a lot of skills are being lost now which makes those things made by loved ones all that more special ( and they also are made to last).

In the sun it is lovely and warm. We have just been for a walk round the estate. It is quite high up so the view over Manchester is really clear today. Manchester is around 8/10 miles away.

Lots of Spring flowers in the garden, and the sunshine really helps.
We have had daffodils and then tulips and the camellias are looking lovely.
The Hawthorne tree has blossomed and the sparrows and small birds love it.

Flowers on my deck garden are starting to bloom, and I have newly hatched eastern phoebes.

Mine - full of washing in this warm weather! lol! Not much else as I haven't yet ventured to the now open DIY store-cum-garden centre for bedding plants. Some perennials are beginning to show, but only just.
