That is beautiful mp. :) There was a clematis here when I moved in, but unfortunately it died. My neighbour was commenting today that as we both have trellises we could grow clematis on them. Hers would have to be in a pot and I think I will do the same because the soil by the trellis is not very good.

I've tidied up the garden and hope to go to the garden centre this week to get some annuals and a couple of perennials.

I live in a forest, so I can only do a little potted porch garden. Bought this clematis two years ago and been waiting patiently for it to bloom. This year's the year! (First time uploading a photo . . . hope it works.)

I did my hanging baskets last week, with carnations at the centre (which I bought by mistake, instead of geraniums ) and various other plants around the edges. I've also put fuchsias in troughs and done some pot plants.

I went to the garden centres late in the day as I thought it would be easier with the social distancing requirements, but it meant that many of the best plants had gone. However I had thought that we wouldn't be able to get anything this year, so I'm pleased that the garden has some colour. Thank you Lord! :)

That sounds lovely :)
We did some tidying up in the garden today, Peter worked hard digging around clearing ground where it was overrun with bluebells.
Not English bluebells, but the more hardy Spanish variety. They look quite nice but are very hard to remove.
Lilies are coming on nicely but are being attacked by red Lily beetles ...but we hunt them every day. :)

That is soooo gorgeous! It's similar to the one I just gave my youngest daughter.
She's taking me to the orthopedist tomorrow.

I planted a new clematis in the former one's place; it's 'Rouge Cardinal.'

This morning my oldest daughter came and mowed my front yard. She helped me plant most of my flowers. I couldn't have done it without her help. We planted lemon grass in pots to ward off mosquitoes. But then the black flies came and were biting me! >: (

Tomorrow it will be unbearably hot and humid.

I might have to try that. You got a lot of work done today!
Only because my daughter helped and did most of the work! I'm right-handed and my right arm is in a sling. I go to the orthopedist tomorrow.

My daughter says the lemon grass works. I've never planted it before.

^_^ One of my granddaughters has been planting lots of flowers, and told my daughter, "I've become my granddmother!" ROFL.

My arm is healed. :)

I ordered more daffodil bulbs to be shipped in October.

Because I had the snow fountain weeping cherry cut down, there's no shade ftom sunrise till afternoon where I planted the new clematis. I hope a flower pot of red dipladenia bush(Brazillian mandevilla) will help shade the roots. If it doesn't, I have some other ideas.

My grandson-in-law finished sawing down the cherry tree! Then he surprised me and did a lot of work in my huge backyard! My daughter and his children came, too. She was cleaning my garage! She found things I didn't know were there!

September 2010 --- I did more gardening then.
