That If thou Shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Alot of Christians and churches us this scripture as the plan of salvation, but confession alone is not salvation, according to the scriptures.
First, Paul was talking to the Roman Christians who were already saved, they understood that Jesus Christ was God. They confessed or acknowledge that Jesus was God. This was a stumbling block for the Jews and still is Today. They don't understand God of the old testament robed himself in flesh as the man Jesus Christ. They were baptised in Jesus Name Rom 6:3 and recieved the infilling of the Holy Ghost in Rom 8: 9-11. In Rom 10:1, It was Paul desire for Isreal that they MIGHT be saved. In Acts 2:36-38 Israel acted in obediance baptised and recieved the infilling of the holy ghost, but paul was trying to tell the Jews or israel to confess or acknowledge Jesus is Lord. That's all they had to do.
In order for Rom 10:9 to be effective is to: Repent of your sins, be baptised in the Name of Jesus Christ and Recieve the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Believe and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God of the OT Robed in Flesh.
Then the scripture is fulfilled.

Paul would not preach 2 plans of salvation Gal 1:6-9,2Thess 1:7-9.
Paul Did preach the same message as the apostles Acts 19:1-6, Acts 2:38

Dear corvet786, the message is the same, our Lord told to REPENT, to rue our wrongdoings, and to exchange our selfish and unloving, our wilful and uncaring natures, into selflessly loving and caring followers of Jesus Christ, who came to reconcile us to God, and will lead us back to the Father. Jesus gave us 2 Commandments, which contain all 10 Commandments, God gave us. Love God with all your being, and love each other, as you love yourselves. God loves us and wants us back, Jesus died that we might live, and we have to repent, to become adopted sons and daughters, of our Father in Heaven. To join Him there, we will have to become perfect, as God is perfect, we will have to learn to resist temptation, and become worthy to live with God and our Christian brothers and sisters. Jesus will help and guide us. Different words may be used, but the meaning is the same, it is all God`s Word to us. I say this humbly and lovingly, corvet, and send greetings. Emmy, sister in Christ.

Well I thank Jesus, When we obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Our lives will begin to change, if we let God to do the changing. Our likes will be his likes, his desires become our desires. Our spirit will change and line up with his. For the kingdom of God is within You.
Thats why Jesus Died on the cross to bring humanity back to him. Without spot and wrinkle.

Paul would not preach 2 plans of salvation

In fact He did , sparky ... the Jews were obligated to celebrate the feast of booths, trumpets, first fruits , tabernacles , etc. commanded by God , His chosen people .. Paul spoke of the Gentiles being circumcised of the spirit , not of the flesh and not obligated to the same rituals as their jewish brothers , which is discussed int the book of Romans , Jew first , then gentiles and in Acts chapters 9-11 Peter's vision , trip to Cornelius' house , the discussion with James and the rebuke of Peter by Paul ...

Gal 1:6-9,2Thess 1:7-9.
Paul Did preach the same message as the apostles Acts 19:1-6, Acts 2:38

..................
Galatians 1.6-9 is of the heresy of the Judaizers ... who taught that Christians must first become jews, be circumcised, observe all their laws, then become christians " the galatian error, forsaking grace for works "

2 Thessalonians 1.1-9 is about those who persecute the believers .. Galatians 6.7 what goes around comes around .. the covenant with Abraham .. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you ...

Acts 19.1-6 deals with the baptism of John - repentance and the baptism of Jesus - John 3.3-8 , of cleansing of the spirit , separation from sin , as Moses and the Hebrews crossed the red sea , as dying and rising with Jesus

Acts 2.38 speaks of the the Jews who denied that Jesus was the Christ , Orthodox Jews , v's members of "The Way" , Messianic Jews , Christians
