Even if you could explain the entire universe without need for God and I don't receive eternal life.Even if we can explain the entire Universe without need for a god and you do not receive eternal life for your belief?
So then how'd all this happen?
Are you saying you can't?Are you going to make me do the whole explanation of what science is, what a scientific theory is, what the big bang says, what abiogensis is, what evolution actually means?
Even when I explain it you;
A) Will refuse to believe me.
B) Say God is still needed
C) Play the 'god of the gaps' game.
First of all, and I mean no offense, I don't believe you.Even if you could explain the entire universe without need for God and I don't receive eternal life.
Of course I could explain them to you, but I'm saying that I doubt it would do any good. Are you saying you can't?
I see that in your profile you are in a relationship. Why?
Based on? Your psychology that lacks the perspective of God. You are right, a human being, left alone, does nothing that doesn't benefit themselves. Add God to equation and you get something different.First of all, and I mean no offense, I don't believe you.
I'm a psychology major.
There is not one thing a person does in his/her entire life that is NOT selfish or based on an outcome for you.
With no hope of a reward, humans don't perform.
It's a simple fact.
If there was no need for a god and no eternal life, why would you worship? Could god even be said to exist then?
I'm open for anything and everything. I could say the exact same about you, you know. You don't know for a fact that I'm not going to listen (because I am all ears) to you.Of course I could explain them to you, but I'm saying that I doubt it would do any good.
The fact is that you don't WANT to believe something that would weaken your belief in god.

Actually, that is not true. That is what I mean about so-called "experts" with expensive educations. They can say anything and seemingly get away with it. I doubt this bit of "knowledge" completely. I have lived long enough to see examples that take this ideology out and disprove it.
Talking to you?You go ahead and give me an example and I'll go ahead and show you selfish motivation.
Any example you want.
Giving to charity?
Makes you feel like a good person.
Volunteering?
Makes you feel like a good person
If doing good things for other people didn't feel good to you, you wouldn't do it.
I knew you'd ask that.Why?
I'm open for anything and everything. I could say the exact same about you, you know. You don't know for a fact that I'm not going to listen (because I am all ears) to you.
So please, explain how the universe came to be and exists without God, and then I will say what I think of your theory. Alright?
You like to share your faith, and if you managed to convert me you'd feel proud and happy.Talking to you?

Various reasons. He is worthy to be praised, he is our Creator, he owes us nothing, actually. I still get to pray to him for comfort and help in my life. God loves us beyond our comprehension, it's a matter of putting our trust in him.
As for your, "makes you feel like a good person", that's called a benefit. Like signing up for an insurance plan. "If you do this and this, you'll get these benefits." The benefits aren't required from the insurance company but they threw it in to be nice. Praising and honoring God is (or at least should be) the main objective, and the benefits are a nice bonus. You like to share your faith, and if you managed to convert me you'd feel proud and happy.
Also, humans just love to argue.
Okay, so here we have a scientific theory. Some Christians believe in evolution. How does it preclude the existence of God?![]()
I know a lot of Christians that believe in evolution and still have faith in God and the Bible.
Are you looking for excuses NOT to believe in God?
Then explain it. So far you have failed to do so.We don't have a creator, we don't need one and the universe didn't need one.
Science can explain it all.
So if God didn't create us, and he doesn't give us eternal life, then why worship him?
But the benefit is why you're doing it.As for your, "makes you feel like a good person", that's called a benefit. Like signing up for an insurance plan. I already told you:Then explain it. So far you have failed to do so.
