Actually it is very clear that Lucifer was given authority by God. He was given a throne and was a king and a priest.

`Lucifer said - "I will exalt my throne above the stars of God...` (Isa. 14: 13)
`You were the anointed cherub that covers.....Every precious stone was your covering...` (Ez. 28: 14 & 13)

No other angel was anointed king by God.

Satan was created perfect and created with power. In other words, he was not created with the intent that he become evil. Then at some point, iniquity was found in him.

He wasn't given that power after iniquity was found in him. Satan was created with free will - however, it should be noted, no created being has unlimited free will. Satan does have power, that he was created with in his perfect state. even so it is not unlimited power.

Which he chose to rebel against God. Satan abuses his power, he was created as having. Satan wasn't given a throne, as being God's will. He was permitted to rebel, not directed to rebel, and since he convinced a third of the angels to go along with him, he as the leader was thus considered to have a throne and be a king. Bit it is not something God bestowed upon him. God did not anoint Satan as King of anything.

That Satan was the anointed cherub that covereth, is just a referral to him be created in the highest ranking order of angels. And was at the throne of God. Without us being able to witness ourselves back then what covereth means - we can only guess. Perhaps Satan was like a mantel over the throne of God. We just don't know for sure.

Satan still is not as powerful as Michael the angel, because Satan loses that war in Revelation 12.

Abaddon is a king, the leader over the locust is all it is saying, who is an angel - and is called the angel of the bottomless pit. Satan nowhere is called the angel of the bottomless pit - but the prince the power of the air. It is two different individuals. We aren't given any history on Abaddon in Revelation.

Satan have an inherent deceiving power ....and he will use it again to deceive the Nations [Revelation 12 -- Revelation 13]...and ...again [Revelation 20:7-10] until God finally destroy Satan.

Satan is the only king of the fallen angels. He was given the key to the `bottomless pit` ie the authority to let more demons, (fallen angels) come on to the earth. The `bottomless pit` is a picture of these fallen angels being held captive till God says they can be released. They will be named KINGS for ONE HOUR ...meaning that they will have been fooled by the Beast...once they will give full power and their Kingdoms to the Beast..

So that is just before the middle of the trib. as they receive authority with the final Global leader for 42 months. (Rev. 13; 5)

So , 1.......2......3.......4.......(prior to trib) 5th leader in the trib, 6th in the trib and 7th the last leader possessed by Satan in the middle of the trib.
