Theres a difference between innovating for a system to support billions of people and creating a useless machine meant to understand how the world came to be.

Maybe if the people at CERN read the bible, they would know how to world came to be and wouldn't need to use this dangerous useless machines that put the entire world at risk because of their "curiosity".

Dude, a couple of posts back you were saying "So was it good that Adam and Eve "experimented" with the tree and knowledge to understand it?

I never understood why people can't just be satisfied with a house, job, food, family and Jesus." which, if you want anything beyond a basic hunter gatherer stoneage lifestyle, is going to involve some innovation, and therefore, experimentation, and learning and understanding new things. Since I assume you aren't suggesting everyone adopt a basic stoneage lifestyle, I'm wondering how you reconcile the two positions?

I agree with you. The bible is the literal word of God. Almost being played out like a movie.

Do you believe Revelation to be chronological?

I believe Revelation 17 and 18 to be describing the destruction of America. It acknowledges that it is talking about a physical place:

"The woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth" - Revelation 17:18 ( could be referring to either NYC or USA as a whole. )

"For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong." - Revelation 18:8 ( how else can a physical city be "burned up with fire" in one day other than a nuclear attack ) The last part of Revelation 17 makes it clear this burning will be done by man not god.

So I predict a Nuclear Attack on either NYC or Multiple Cities in America.

My question of whether or not Revelation is chronological is because if it is then we have a bit more time, as many of things of the previous chapters haven't come true yet as far as I understand. If not, with all the tension in Syria, and Obama himself mentioned "The Prospect of a Nuclear Bomb in NYC", it could within the near months or years.

WI have a spiritual picture of these situations not necessarily chronological with the Word.
I see much has as already taken place over a few years and in the process of it now.
It is all coming together like a jigsaw puzzle. Some I didn't understand before but I
believed it and as a result it is now being revealed which makes it all quite exciting but sad at
the same time for Unbelievers especially in my family.
What I have done is come right to the fore with my beliefs even though it has created division
with some because this way they will know.... exactly what they have to do when things get
bad for them. I have always known that God doesn't want any of us sitting on the fence but
for harmony's sake I have slightly given this impression to my family - but now.. I have
come out' (and not in that way) I am making my position entirely clear to them so they have no doubts about the differences. I have contact with most of my family on facebook and now have
included a lot of Christian friends who post Christian messages daily even though I know my family wont want to see them! If they want to see me they have to accept these at the same time A couple have 'flown' but they are probably the ones most likely to turn to God as are more convicted.
New Age Christians here could argue against this subject and this wont help anyone so I wont go into a lot of detail but most Christian prophets think Cern's aim is to open the 'other side abyss' allowing demonic entities to take over our world. Practically that is already happening and there have been a lot of paranormal visions over the world. It amazes me how much of these are not published more! - like strange cloud formations, cities in the sky, loud noises trumpet sounds etc
A few years ago just one of these things would have been World News but now there is no fuss no one bothers because we have all been hypnotised by the world-wide web

They made it freely available, creating the internet, and giving people like you the chance to moan about how their work hasn't led to any practical applications!
