Peace in Christ.
The Son of God comes to give us an understanding so that we know Him that is true. He opens up the Scriptures to our hearing ears….and we are to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches and do well towards what we hear Him saying in the Spirit of Truth.
1Jn 5:20-21 KJV
(20) And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
We are to keep ourselves away from “idols”…that is, images.
(21) Little children, keep yourselves (away) from idols (IMAGES). Amen.
We are to hear what the Spirit is saying unto the “churches”….Greek: ekklēsia = a CALLING OUT.
We are called out of the man-based church gatherings where they are keeping and serving their “images”….their church handwritings of ordinances/dogmas.
Rev 3:21-22 KJV
(21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
(22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
We are “dead” in our sins and the uncircumcision of our flesh when we sit together with the man-based image-worshipping churches. They are “dead” bodies of people…and we are unclean when we sit together with them.
Col 2:13-15 KJV
(13) And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
But our Lord comes to give us an understanding and He blots out the handwriting of ordinances/dogmas (Greek: dogmas – “what one believes is true or good”).
Even a “statement of faith” fits this definition of what “one believes” is true. "We believe in...." It is an orderly arrangement of what one believes is true. Yet, it is an “image” that should not be found in any gathering. The whole “church” is built/structured upon it where it is firmly established and does not move from its place.
(14) Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances (DOGMAS) that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
We are to follow Him out of the man-based (on their images) triumphing over their “principalities and powers” contained in church handwritings. They have no power over us. We are forgiven for keeping and serving them.
(15) And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
The body of Christ has Jesus as Head of all principality and power. We are complete in Him and have no need of man’s handwritings of ordinances to keep and serve. A dead body of people has a fleshly-minded head.
Col 2:9-12 KJV
(9) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
(10) And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
We are to PUT OFF the body of the sins of the flesh. We are to come out from the church bodies that keep and serve what a fleshly-minded man has written.
(11) In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
(12) Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Men…vainly puffed up by their fleshly minds….put some of the ceremonial commandments of the Law into their handwritings for you to keep and serve. They thought that they "saw" something in the Scriptures...trespassing into things that they do not understand. This is the church “body” of the sins of the flesh….those who are of a fleshy-mind and not of the Spirit.
The “body” that keeps and serves man’s church handwritings of ordinances is not the body of Christ for it is not holding the Head of Christ by which the whole church body lives by. It is not a living body but is a dead body where the life of Christ is not found.
Col 2:16-20 KJV
(16) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
(17) Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
(18) Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
(19) And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
(20) Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
What agreement does the temple of God have with “idols”….images…with the man-based church handwritings of ordinances/dogmas?
2Co 6:16-18 KJV
(16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols (images)? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
We are to come out from among them…from among the man-based churches who are keeping and serving their handwritings of ordinances…and be separate from them….and not being attached to the unclean body of that “church.”
(17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
(18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Our Lord comes to give us a FULL understanding so that we may escape from them. The “Holy Commandment” is to come out from among them and be separate from them. “Holy” = to be separate for sanctification. We must not be unclean by sitting together with them. We must not be attached to the dead body or we are unclean.
2Pe 2:20-21
(20) For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge (Greek – epignosis – full knowledge) of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
This commandment is the Way of righteousness. It is the way that leads to life…and FEW shall find it. It is the Way of THE Truth that the unbelieving man-based church goers will speak evil of in their unbelief.
(21) For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
The unbelievers that will hear and not believe in what He is saying will speak evil of the Way of THE Truth: to come out from among them and be separate. They will follow after their false teachers among them. MANY will follow their false teachers and their pernicious ways to destruction while they speak evil of the Way of THE Truth
2Pe 2:1-2 KJV
(1) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
(2) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
Their false teachers will FORSAKE THE RIGHT WAY...to come out from among the man-based churches. They will have none of it.
2Pe 2:15 KJV
(15) Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
But those who will HEAR (true hearing is obeying) shall live. The “dead”…being dead in sins and trespasses in the man-based churches…that will hear the voice of the Son of God who comes to give us an understanding…will live if they truly hear and obey.
Joh 5:24-25 KJV
(24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting (AGE-LASTING) life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
(25) Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
All that are in the “graves” of the man-based churches shall hear His voice.
Joh 5:28-30 KJV
(28) Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Those who SHALL COME FORTH are the those who DO GOOD unto the resurrection of life. But, those who do evil towards that they hear Him saying will stand up to condemnation…judgment.
(29) And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
As He HEARS, He judges and His judgment is just.
(30) I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
He will render to every man according to what his deeds shall be towards the hearing of His voice.
Rom 2:6-11 KJV
(6) Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
To those who will do good, an age-lasting life.
(7) To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal (AGE-LASTING) life:
But to those who are contentious towards what they hear and do not obey (not believe) the Truth but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.
(8) But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
(9) Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
(10) But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
(11) For there is no respect of persons with God.
The unbelievers will continue to “remain among the graves and lodge in the monuments” of the man-based churches. They will not come out from among them and be separate. They will speak evil of the Way of righteousness....the Way of the Truth...and will forsake that Way and follow after unrighteousness.
Isa 65:2-7 KJV
(2) I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
(3) A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
(4) Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
(5) Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
(6) Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
(7) Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
When He speaks to the unbelievers of the man-based churches who will remain in them (remaining among the graves), they will not answer His call to come out.
When He speaks, they will not hear (because of their unbelief of what they hear). Instead, they will do evil and choose things that He does not delight in. They will choose to remain in the man-based churches and not come out of them.
Isa 65:11-15 KJV
(11) But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
(12) Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
(13) Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
(14) Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
(15) And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
