Sure. But you ARE saying "everything's just as foretold in scripture for the end of the world!" in a thread about CERN's near future activities. That's pretty close.Sure I believe the world will end. But in a week or in a million years, no one knows. What I do know is that people have been saying "any second now, this time for sure", for at least 6000 years. That's an impressive track record.
I only brought up Revelation 17/18, because unlike many "Christians" the woman who responded to me actually believes the bible is the word of God so I thought she could give me insight.
I don't think CERN has much to do with the end of the world, It could be biblical prophecy or it could not be.
Why would it happen in 1 million years when the world is only about 6,000 years old?
Have you heard it of God's 7 day plan:
Part 1: 4000-3000 BC - Genesis, Creation ( Old Testament )
Part 2: 3000-2000 BC ( Old Testament )
Part 3: 2000-1000 BC ( Old Testament )
Part 4: 1000-1 BC ( Old Testament )
Part 5: 1-1000 AD - Jesus, Gospels ( New Testament )
Part 6: 1000-2000 AD ( New Testament )
Part 7: 2000-3000 AD - Revelation, End Times ( New Testament )
Part 7(1): 2000-? AD - Tribulation ( New Testament )
Part 7(2): 2000+? - 3000 AD - Heaven on Earth ( New Testament )
For that reason I believe the end times will be a matter of months, years, or decades.
Also I doubt people have been saying the world will end for 6,000 years when Revelation was written about 2000 years ago.
And anyone who studies Revelation and The Bible will understand that the prophecies are being fulfilled.
