In context, “the weak” were those Jewish Christians who could not let go of some of the Old Covenant liturgical, ceremonial, and dietary laws and restrictions, which were no longer required of them under the New Covenant (see Romans 14:1-23). This seemed to be focused in two main areas, the first being the dietary restrictions of the Old Covenant versus the freedom to eat anything (pretty much) under the New Covenant. Secondly had to do with the keeping of the Sabbath, I believe. Some held on to regarding one day more sacred than others, while others considered every day alike.

Even though those people who held on to the Old Covenant dietary laws, and the keeping of one day a week as more sacred than others, were now free from having to do those things, under the New Covenant, they believed that they should retain them. And even though they were regarded, then, as weak in the faith, and not strong in faith as those who felt the freedom to not do those things, they were not chastised, but they were regarded as those who were doing what they were doing as to the Lord, the same as those who had the freedom to not follow those same Old Covenant laws.

The main point with this, though, was that they were not to stand in judgment, one against the other, for these issues were regarded as disputable matters, and not matters of Christian doctrine. Do we now have the freedom in Christ to not have to go by Old Covenant dietary laws? Absolutely! Are we, as Christians, required to keep the Old Covenant Sabbath day? No, we are not! In fact, we are encouraged, as the body of Christ, to meet together daily for the purpose of exhorting one another so that none of us are being led astray by deceitful desires (Hebrews 3:13).

So, if we have differences of opinion about things which are “disputable matters” of Christian practice, but which do not enter into the area of Christian doctrine, we are not to stand in judgment, one against the other. But we should be glad for one another that we are all serving the Lord in our lives in ways in which we believe we should, in reverential fear of the Lord, but never as a matter of pride or snobbery or feelings of superiority. And we should do what we know how to do to get along with one another and to be at peace with one another and not be at odds with each other.

But this does not enter into the area of Christian doctrine where there are definite rights and wrongs of lifestyle and practice, and where we definitely are told that we must live a certain way or we will not have eternal life with God. So we need to learn to differentiate between matters of opinion, which may be disputable and unsolvable matters which we must learn to be at peace with each other about, and matters of biblical doctrine and practice which will determine our relationships with the Lord and where we will spend eternity. That matters that we all agree, because our souls are at risk!

So, pleasing our neighbors for their good does not engage compromise of biblical truth and doctrine regarding faith, salvation, and eternal life. We don’t bend in these areas in order to please our neighbors, for remember this has to be “for their good.” And if we compromise truth in doctrine regarding the gospel of our salvation, we are not doing for anyone what is for their good, but only that which will harm them. But when we hold strongly to the truth of the gospel, we should expect that we will be insulted and persecuted and hated as Jesus was, and that can be a lonely existence.

The body of a woman who was presumed to have been one of four slain hostages murdered in cold blood by Hamas and handed over to Israel this week was allegedly turned over by the terror group on Friday.

Hamas handed over a coffin allegedly carrying the remains of Shiri Bibas to the Red Cross. The coffin was then turned over to Israeli authorities, who will transport it to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification.

The development follows Israel’s demand for the return of Bibas’ body after discrepancies were found in a previous transfer on Thursday.

Words should be used to supplement and explain this lived experience when appropriate. Don't preach the Gospel unless you are supporting it with your actions.

There are cases where citizenship can be revoked... It's called denaturalization, and is most often used for people who gave false statements during the naturalization process.

Well, then, for one, none of the passages you offer here talk about Christians being taken up into heaven.

In 1 Thessalonians 4, Paul never mentions Christians being taken up into heaven. He says that when Christ returns the dead are raised and we who are alive are also transformed and brought up to meet the returning Lord Jesus in the air.

In Luke 17 it's talking about Judgment, the one taken is taken in Judgment, not in a "rapture".

And in Hebrews 9 it's talking about Christ's return, where the dead are raised, that's the salvation--the resurrection of the dead, for the Lord returns to Judge, the dead are raised, and God makes all things new.

The doctrine of "the rapture" as an event where Christians are taken out of the world and into heaven is never mentioned in the Bible. And it is completely unknown in the Christian Church throughout history--its is a theological invention of the 19th century believed by a very tiny minority of Christians who have adopted the peculiar ideas of John Darby and the Plymouth Brethren. It became popular among American Evangelicals over the course of the 20th century through Dispensationalist schools and eventually popular books by a handful of influential Dispensationalist teachers.

What Christian believe is that the Lord Jesus will return in glory to judge, and when He does, the dead are raised (and the living Faithful will, with them, be transformed). Not to get beamed up into heaven to escape a period of tribulation; but rather when the Lord Jesus comes down here.

And 1 Thess 4:17 says that all of those in the BODY of CHRIST , those that are LIVING ONES , the surviving ones will be

Imagine if we let go of things that divide us. Our hearts would fill with joy and love for each other instead of the terrible contentions and divisions that quench the spirit. What an inspiration and example we would be for this lost world. We would truly glorify God this way and we would all be happy. But instead we must argue over man's theology and politics. There is a better way if you ask me. It's simplicity in Christ. It takes faith because you must trust God to teach you and lead you.

But are his commands really that hard to understand? No. It just takes time for us to repent sometimes. We try to justify our sin or manage it the best we can but there is victory in Christ and not this temporary defeat.

I'm one such success story. I was lost and bound to sin. I lost all hope in everything but God. I had no hope in myself or anyone. I ended up with depression induced psychosis because of my sin and how people treated me. I went through a few months of psychosis with no medicine and I thought I was a prophet because I thought my psychosis hallucinations were visions.

But after I got on meds I found out that I was free from lust. God gave me a new heart. One that had strength and resolve to resist temptation. I prayed earnestly for that. I felt alone and i needed to know that I had hope and that Jesus didn't forsake me. God answered my prayers.

I disagree, because what I preach I do and it's written. On the other hand you are under the Roman Christianity doctrine. The word of God is given to the Israelites not the Gentiles or any other nation of people. The Hebrew Israelites the ones in captivity to this day is to teach the rest of the sons of Adam. The lord have not changed his ways. For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed (Malachi 3:6) or Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

I understand this, but the Lord allow the Gentiles to run the earth and now they have tried to over take his word and that's a problem. Because they don't understand a lot of it, and have added and took away from it. So in the near future the Lord (Jesus), at his second coming, will bring a very great war in the vally of Jehoshaphat or the Vally of Migiddo. But we also see in the past Israel was sold for merchandise or a medium of exchange during slavery. This is facts real uncut word of God.

Jesus calls himself the Lord of the Sabbath. This means he has authority over the Sabbath and one with authority gives and takes things as they wish. remember the 4th commandment, it is spoken to those with authority over the household with instruction to ensure everyone in the household keeps the sabbath including the servants and the animals. the thing with animals is that have no authority to rest and can only rest when they are given rest by one with authority. Jesus has the authority and he gives us rest, he however does not require the ceremony of rest that is the 4th commandment to receive it. He is the one that was there during the first sabbath, it is his to give and his to take away as he sees fit. This is what Lord of the Sabbath means. It's like someone caught trespassing on private land by a groundskeeper, the groundskeeper demands the trespassers be removed but then the owner comes out and says it's his land and he will decide who gets to stay or not then invites the people to stay. the groundskeeper is trying to follow a set of rules, he has no authority to do anything else, the owner however has the authority to invite whom he wants even if it doesn't formally follow a set of rules. He's the master, what he says is the rule.



the sabbath is indeed beyond physical rest and points to spiritual rest that can only be found in Christ. A spiritual focus with God through prayer, bible study, and fellowship with other believers is not a sabbath unique instruction, that is Christian living practice. for example, just read Acts 2:42-47

this seems like your Sabbath-day practice description, yet to the early church, this was observed daily. These communal-devotional characteristics you are connecting with are your typical once-a-week gathering tradition for the modern church. For yourself it's on the Sabbath which I assume is friday sundown to saturday sundown, to others it's on a sunday and still others on other days of the week. It would be a mistake to restrict spiritual devotion to one day of the week and it should be encouraged as unbroken daily practice. The 4th commandment does not give this sort of instruction that you are puffing it up to be, you seem to have introduced tradition into your idea of Sabbath and that is what you keep.

The book say in (Ex.31:16-17) (v.16) Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. There is no such thing is a Sabbath Sunday. That's adding to the word of God, can't do that! It's written in Rev. 22: 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

The Biblical Sabbath, however, is and has always been on the seventh day of the week, or Saturday. Despite the prevalence of Sunday worship in Christendom, we must look to the Bible as our authority and keep the seventh day Sabbath ordained by God.

Ample evidence from history shows that the celebration of Sunday originated from pagan practices of SUN WORSHIP. In March of 321 A.D., the Roman Emperor Constantine, who was at first a sun-worshiper and later a Christian convert, issued the first decree declaring Sunday to be a legal day of rest. In 336 A.D., the Roman Catholic Church officially changed the observance of Sabbath to Sunday for political and economic expediency. Since then, the original Sabbath gradually gave way to Sunday observance and the practice remains to this day.

I'm trying to get people in the kingdom of God and help people with this word of God. I know and understand it's hard to change. Don't be upset, please focus on what I'm saying and what the book is saying to do. I'm here to help not hurt. The book say in Revelation 18:

But I'm not surprised.

Christians can participate in wars and even in revolutions but I do not think that rises to the level of "holy war." If there was a severe persecution of Christians, then I do think it is just to defend yourself. There are varying ideas about this following scripture as well.

Please don't tell someone that their pain or struggle doesn't matter. Don't compare yourself to them or anyone. We share our burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ. If one member suffers everyone suffers with them. Don't tell them that your struggle is worse than theirs, just share love in the spirit with them from a humble and empathetic heart.

1 Thessalonians 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.

A federal judge has denied a request from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to block a federal funding freeze that the bishops say will greatly harm refugee aid efforts in the United States.

The USCCB sued the Trump administration earlier this week over what the bishops said was an unlawful suspension of funding for refugee resettlement and aid programs. The suspension came via one of several executive orders President Donald Trump issued shortly after taking office.

The results of the suspension have been “devastating,” the bishops said, with the prelates reporting “millions of dollars in pending, unpaid reimbursements for services already rendered to refugees” along with “millions more each week.”

In their suit the bishops had asked for a temporary restraining order against the White House. In a decision on Thursday, U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden denied that request.

And this makes me think of that Scripture that says that many are called but few are chosen, for it is few who allow themselves to be drawn to Christ and who believe in him and who die with him to sin and now walk in obedience to his commands, by his grace. And I do think that the reference to "all people" is a definite statement that now the Gentiles would be included and not just the Jews, for previously it was only the Jews who had such a relationship with God.
