No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. Trump organizer who secretly hosted white-nationalist podcast is fired

Luke Meyer, 24, worked as a paid regional field director for Trump Force 47, a joint effort of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the Republican National Committee and state and local Republican parties. He was hired in June by the Pennsylvania Republican Party, which fired him Friday, he confirmed to The Washington Post in a text message.

Meyer, under the pseudonym Alberto Barbarossa, was also secretly cohosting the podcast “Alexandria” with Richard Spencer, a white nationalist who was a scheduled headline speaker at the deadly 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, according to Politico, which first reported Meyer’s firing.

Meyer admitted he was Barbarossa after Politico confronted him with its reporting. “I am glad you pieced these little clues together like an antifa Nancy Drew,” he wrote to Politico contributor Amanda Moore.

“Like the hydra, you can cut off my head and hold it up for the world to see, but two more will quietly appear and be working in the shadows,” Meyer wrote in an email to Moore, according to Politico. “Slating Trump to speak at [Madison Square Garden], putting ‘poisoning the blood’ in his speeches. … In a few years, one of those ... [white supremacists] might even quietly bring me back in, with a stern warning for me to ‘be more careful next time.’”

7 Things to Look for on Election Night

ANALYSIS: America votes on Nov. 5.

Nearly two long years ago, former president Donald Trump kicked off the 2024 presidential cycle by announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination. What a long, strange pair of years it’s been. And what a relief this chapter is finally ending. It’s a truism that campaigning never really ends in America, and it’s true enough. But after two years of perpetual scandal, cynicism and poll-parsing, all Americans could use a break.

Alas, it’s not yet time to relax. Election Day is almost upon us. We are about to be engulfed by waves of information, and only some of it will be useful. “Hot takes” about what the vote means will be tossed around freely by pundits on TV. CNN alone places a dozen of them around its election desk, lest a single speculation goes unuttered.

Homebound Catholics Say Get Out and Vote, ‘Even if You Have to Crawl’

At their residence in Washington, D.C., 87- and 96-year-olds exercize the right to vote.

At 87, Carl Bergquist has cast what he believes will be the final vote of his lifetime.

An 18-year resident at the Jeanne Jugan Residence in Washington D.C., operated by the Little Sisters of the Poor, Bergquist has never failed to cast a vote in his life. And, despite failing health, he wasn’t about to start now.

“I want everyone to vote,” he told the Register in a hoarse whisper, “even if you have to crawl to the ballot box.”

In the United States, every vote counts the same. But when you get to be Bergquist’s age, they carry a lot more weight.

Evangelist Shane Pruitt urges Christians to avoid being a 'jerk for Jesus' or 'coward for Christ'

A Christian evangelist is urging Christians to avoid acting like a “jerk for Jesus” or a “coward for Christ” while highlighting the need for the faithful to stand up for biblical truths even if it means getting involved in political discourse.

In a video posted to Facebook Wednesday, evangelist Shane Pruitt lamented that for a "very long time, the world has been bullying the Church into silence on certain issues because the world wants to dominate that conversation.”

According to Pruitt, “They’ll tell the Church ‘Hey, you can’t speak on that, that’s a political issue and you’re being too political.’”

The Plans of God for Us

The following was a specific promise given by God to a specific people at a particular time in history under very distinct circumstances which are not relevant to us today. The people of God were under the judgment of God for a period of 70 years. So, the Lord was giving them specific instructions for them only. For they had false prophets lying to them about the 70 years, and so the Lord was correcting those errors. And then the Lord told them that when the 70 years were completed that he would visit them, and that he would fulfill his promise to them to bring them back to their homeland. Then he said:

Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”

Now, although these words were spoken to God’s people under their specific circumstances, and so in that sense that they were given to them they do not apply to our lives, still there are biblical principles contained within these words which do apply to our lives today. And so we can learn from this passage of Scripture what those are in relation to our relationships with Jesus Christ and in relation to the gospel of our salvation.

So, what plans does God have for our lives? We who believe in Jesus, and those who are yet to believe in Jesus, were predestined by God to be conformed to the image (likeness) of Jesus Christ. And he has called us to a holy calling, and to be holy is to be different from the world because we are being conformed to the likeness of Christ. And this was his plan for our lives even before he created the world. And we are to be holy in all our conduct.

[Ps 139:13-16; Rom 8:29; 2 Tim 1:8-9; Eph 1:3-4; 1 Pet 1:14-16; 1 Co 12]

And the plans for welfare and not for evil are found in the teachings of the gospel of Christ. For we learn that Jesus died that we might die with him to sin and live to him and to his righteousness (1 Peter 2:24). And Jesus said that if anyone would come after him he must deny self and take up his cross daily (daily die to sin and to self) and follow (obey) the Lord Jesus. For if we hold on to our lives of sin, we will lose them for eternity. But if we die to sin and follow our Lord in obedience, then we have the hope of eternal life.

[Luke 9:23-26; cf. Matthew 7:21-23; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14]

And this is to give us a future and a hope, but this future and hope are contingent upon us dying with Christ to sin, not just once, but daily, and us walking in obedience to our Lord in holiness and in righteousness, and not in sin. For if sin is what we practice, and if obedience to our Lord is not what we practice, then we do not have a future and a hope. But we will die in our sins, and heaven will not be our eternal destiny, and we will not inherit eternal life with God. So, we need to take this to heart.

[Matt 7:21-23; Lu 9:23-26; Jn 6:35-58; Jn 15:1-11; Rom 1:18-32; Rom 2:6-8; Rom 6:1-23; Rom 8:1-14; 1 Co 6:9-10; 2 Co 5:10; Gal 5:16-21; Gal 6:7-8; Eph 5:3-6; Col 1:21-23; Col 3:5-11; 1 Jn 1:5-10; 1 Jn 2:3-6; 1 Jn 3:4-10; Heb 10:23-31; 1 Pet 1:17-21; Rev 21:8,27; Rev 22:14-15]

Now, we cannot call upon God of our own doing. We can only come to faith in Jesus Christ if God the Father first draws us to Christ (John 6:44), i.e. if he first persuades us as to his holiness and righteousness and of our sinfulness and of our need to repent of (turn from) our sins to follow him in obedience. For the faith to believe in Jesus is not of our own doing, but it is gifted to us by God, for it is authored and perfected by Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 12:1-2).

But then we will call upon him, and we will come to him and pray to him, and then we will seek the Lord with all our heart if our faith in Jesus Christ is genuine God-given faith which dies with Christ to sin and which lives to him and to his righteousness. But not everyone has such faith. Many are relying on human faith alone and on humanistic teachings which do not require repentance, obedience, or walks of faith in Jesus Christ. And sadly, they do not have a future and a hope in Jesus Christ, our Lord.

If That Isn’t Love

By Dottie Rambo

He left the splendor of heaven
Knowing His destiny
Was the lonely hill of Golgotha
There to lay down His life for me

And if that isn't love
Then the ocean is dry
There's no stars in the sky
And the little sparrows can't fly
Yeah if that isn't love
Then heaven's a myth
There's no feeling like this
If that isn't love

Oh, my job keeps getting easier
As time keeps slipping away
I can imitate your brightest light
And make your night look just like day
I put some truth in every lie
To tickle itching ears
You know I'm drawing people just like flies
'Cause they like what they hear
I'm gaining power by the hour
They're falling by the score
You know, it's getting very simple now
'Cause no one believes in me anymore

Oh, heaven's just a state of mind
My books read on your shelf
And have you heard that God is dead?
I made that one up myself
They dabble in magic spells
They get their fortunes read
You know they heard the truth
But turned away and followed me instead
I used to have to sneak around
But now they just open their doors
You know, no ones watching for my tricks
Because no one believes in me anymore

Everyone likes a winner
With my help, you're guaranteed to win
And hey, man, you ain't no sinner, no
You've got the truth within
And as your life slips by
You believe the lie that you did it on your own
But don't worry
I'll be there to help you share our dark eternal home

Oh, my job keeps getting easier
As day slips into day
The magazines, the newspapers
Print every word I say
This world is just my spinning top
It's all like childs-play
You know, I dream that it will never stop
But I know it's not that way
Still my work goes on and on
Always stronger than before
I'm gonna make it dark before the dawn
Since no one believes in me anymore

Well, now I used to have to sneak around
But now they just open their doors
You know, no one watches for my tricks
Since no one believes in me anymore
Well I'm gaining power by the hour
They're falling by the score
You know, it's getting very easy now
Since no one believes in me anymore
No one believes in me anymore
No one believes in me anymore

2 Corinthians 4:1-6 NIV

"Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ."

Look How You Walk

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.” (Ephesians 5:15-21 ESV)

Our walks are our lifestyles, our habits, the things we think and do and say day in and day out. And they involve our attitudes, too. We need to look carefully at how we are living, the things that we are doing and watching and listening to, and the words we are speaking. And we need to pay close attention to our thought processes and our attitudes, too. And we should examine these from time to time prayerfully, making sure that we are making the best use of our time and that we are not wasting time.

And the days we live in are very evil. Evil is everywhere we look it seems. Evil is permeating so much of the church here in America with so many people believing a false gospel which is giving them carte blanche to continue in deliberate and habitual sin without conscience, and without feelings of guilt or remorse. And many of them are being told, not that they need to cease living in sin, but that they must not feel guilty about their sin, as though the sin is not wrong but the guilt is. And that is wrong.

So, we need to not be foolish by following the lies, but we need to know what the will of the Lord is. And we are not going to know that just by listening to preachers or Bible teachers, or those who speak or write devotions, for they may not all be listening to the Lord. Many of them are following after the lies. So we need to be students of the Scriptures who read the Scriptures for ourselves, but in context, for many false teachings come from Scriptures taught outside their context and made to say what the Scriptures do not teach in context.

And none of us should be living lives which are out of control, whether it be by getting drunk on strong drink, or whether the source is intoxication to sexual immorality or to romance and to having extramarital affairs, or whether the intoxication is to sports and sports figures or to politicians or to Hollywood actors and actresses, and the list goes on. Basically our lives are to be under the control of the Holy Spirit and not under the control of the flesh, and not out of control to where we are living senseless lives.

But we are to be filled with the Spirit. Now all genuine believers in Jesus are filled with the Spirit, i.e. we have the Holy Spirit living within us. But as we surrender more and more of our lives over to Jesus Christ, and we cease in doing what is of the flesh, and our lives are yielded more and more to the control of the Holy Spirit, then we are being filled more and more with the Spirit of God because we are now living more under his control and not under the control of the flesh. And that is the point of this passage.

And then we can be led of the Spirit in ministering God’s love and grace to one another, because if we are addressing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, this is not about us singing in a praise and worship service. This is about me singing a song to you that is of the Spirit and for your encouragement and you doing likewise, for my encouragement. And these do NOT have to be professional sounding songs, by human standards. Or the song can merely be read, but the purpose is that we encourage one another in our walks of faith in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Follow Him

An Original Work / February 21, 2013
Based off Luke 9:22-25

Jesus, Son of God,
Died for us on a cross.

Anyone who would come to Him
Must deny himself and follow.
He must take up his cross daily;
Die to sin and self each day.

Father, God above,
Loved us so: gave His Son.

If you want to save your old life;
Keep on sinning, follow your ways,
You will lose your life forever;
Hope of heaven gone away.

Spirit of our God
Gives us life in God’s Son.

Nonetheless, if you die to self;
Forsake your sin; follow Jesus,
You will live with God in heaven,
And forever praise His name!

By Him Who's to Be Treasured

May I tell you truly,
You who’re so unruly,
Life is to be measured
By Him who’s to be treasured.

God, who is The Righteous,
Is a God of justice.
He declared His wisdom
Through those who had His vision.

They foretold the future,
Of nations in a stupor,
Of times like that of Noah,
Of people in a coma,

A time when God must judge us,
For he must bring us justice,
To turn the hearts of people
Away from all their evil.

An Original Work / October 19, 2023

“For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” Matthew 24:37-39 ESV

Need a miracle

Hi Dave, could you ask God if it's related to an spiritual problem? that he reveals this to you in some way, specifically witchcraft,
look, God delivered me of sorcery done against my mind, i believe dementia is caused by sorcery, it tries to eat your mind away, what you have maybe is not like that but it could be witchcraft still. In one moment i felt how the Holy spirit defended my mind urging me to resist mental attacks, i believe if He had not defended me, i would of becoming 'retarded' out of my mind at some point.

Man at Kamala rally thrown out and mocked for saying Jesus is Lord

And? If the doctors do not know by law that they are allowed to treat in every medical emergency then that’s on them isn’t it? They seem to be politicizing a situation where they know they can treat. You continue to cling but any smidgeon on of research should inform you.

Again, stop with the stuff you are being spoon fed and talk to a few doctors that actually practice the vocation they studied for.

Prayer for Election Day

I pray for a safe, fair election and for all who are elected to office to work cooperatively for us all.
I thank you all for keeping me distracted as I recover from my eyelid melanoma surgery last week. The bandage came off the skin graft today, and I am told it will be the before picture on the way to a beautiful after.
I am so grateful to be a cancer survivor.
Forgive me if I've been grouchy, please get annual skin checks, and let's work together in the future.
Even though we are totally against each other politically, I will pray for your healing.

I can't take this anymore

Hello,

Why should I continue living?

● I'm 34 and single
● I don't have a permanent job which means most of the year every year, I struggle with money
● I live in one room and it is moldy and damp
● I don't have a car
● Nearly all of my friends live abroad, including my best friend
● I have no idea whether or not Christians are meant to keep the Law of Moses, even after TONS of study and reading
● My mum and sister are constantly ill every single day of their lives
● I have to take and have been taking tablets every day for mental illnesses. God can't seem to heal me...
● I have a new battle in my mind against Satan concerning blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (the unforgivable sin)
● I'm lazy, procrastinate and my tablets have had an effect on my brain
● My dad left my me and my Mum when I was just a baby and I've never had a father figure in my life which I really should have had
● I'm in debt
● And I always lose my battles against Satan concerning being tempted to commit sexual sin

So, tell me, why on earth should I continue worshiping a God who has let all this happen? God's love is an absolute joke!!!!! I hate him a lot.
You will be in my prayers. Please know that God doesn't stop loving you just because you fall into temptation. The important thing is that you accept Him into your heart before it is too late. Please also know that the apostles were regularly persecuted, threatened, beat, and often killed (in the sense of their bodies) for their beliefs, and yet continued on with more and more fervor, because, as Jesus Himself said, that was ALL they could do to them. Because of Christ's death on the cross and His own suffering and death for us, even being separated from His Father as it happened, our sins are paid for, our suffering for them being taken up by Him, and He paid the penalty on our behalf. Now all we need to do is accept that He died and was resurrected by God, and confess the Lord Jesus, and we will be saved; Period. (Romans 10:9)

As for the law, it can save nothing. We are freed from that, and in the law of Jesus, which is defined by a saving relationship with God rather than a list of rules (i.e. Romans 7:6, but really I think you need to go through the book of Romans in general; It answers so many of the questions you're seeking. In general, only trust the Bible, and go to it for questions. If you go to any other source, make sure they're citing the Bible, and if they are, look up the chapters they cite from to make sure they're not misrepresenting the Scripture.

Please don't misunderstand "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" either. In Matthew 12:22-32, after the Pharisees accuse Him of casting out demons by Beelzebub, Jesus first rebukes them and points out that any city or house divided against itself will not stand, then declares that anyone who is not with Him is against Him, and then, after, says *"Therefore* I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven men." (Your translation may be different, this is the NKJV, but in any case the meaning is the same.) Please consider that the Pharisees were living to see God work in Jesus through the Spirit right in front of them, had no excuse not to recognize it, and yet consciously chose to attribute God's holy work to something foul and demonic. This is not merely insulting the Spirit; This is a total rejection of everything God stands for, delivered in a way that only someone who had no interest in repentance could. Please also note that, concerning both this account and the account of Mark 3:22-30 (specifically Matthew 9:34 and Mark 3:30), the tense used is active, meaning that they were *continously* doing this; It wasn't just that they said it once either. And don't even misunderstand that, because again, this was genuine rejection. This was a continued and deliberate rejection of the Spirit and its very nature. You cannot do this by accident, nor could anyone that would be worried about doing this possibly do this. This is not a temptation of your flesh to sin, where you're resisting and then fail. Those are just words that you can repent from. True blasphemy against the Spirit is a choice that you willingly and consciously make in a deliberate way throughout your life. You either accept what the Spirit brings, or you reject it. The good news is that it's not too late to repent. Like I said, it's easy at the end of the day to be saved. Once you are, no one and nothing can take you out of Christ's hand. (John 10:28) That includes the devil. After that, it's the sin of your flesh that you fight against, which even Paul struggled with, (Romans 7:15-25,) but knew he could fight against it with the help of Jesus' atonement, and the Spirit of God inside of him. Through this, we will crucify the flesh and its sinful desires. (Galatians 5:24)

I will be honest with you. I know it's hard. I'm in the process myself. It's a process that makes us more like our Perfect Savior, and gives us His qualities; It's also a process that we'll undergo our whole lives, until He sets up a new world for us. (1 John 3:2) This is good news, though; It's a reminder that our works can never condemn us after salvation, and that as long as we allow Him, he will continue to make us stronger and help us fight more and more against sin and the devil.

First, though, comes that salvation. As I cited before, believe in your heart, not just in your mind, truly accepting that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, and then openly declare Him; Don't ever be afraid or ashamed to tell people about your Savior. (1 John 4:15) You may have heard John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." This verse is very true. Something else crucial on the subject, however, is Romans 5:7-8: "For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Christ, God the Son, became a man, and suffered horrible pain and died, because even though humanity lives in rebellion against Him, He still loves them. He still loves you. I pray that when you read this, you'll accept Him into your heart. He does love you, and He wants to help you like no one else could. No, He never promised you physical comfort, or a life full of the pleasures of this world; But what He did promise you is so much greater: The guarantee of eternal spiritual happiness, and a perfect and unending life after this one. For this, the apostles risked their lives and lived under constant threat of persecution, pain, and death. And yet, because they knew in their heart the Lord Jesus, and what He had given them, they had no fear of any of it. They had all they had need for to be happy. (Paul in Phillipians 4:11-13: "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content. I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

You can too. Receive Him, and receive healing that nothing and no one else could ever give or provide. You don't need to repeat someone word for word or anything, Jesus knows all and He knows the intention of your heart. (Mark 2:8, John 2:25, etc.)

With all that being said, repent, and ask Him to come into your heart with the knowledge and understanding that he paid the debt of your sins with His innocent, perfect blood (Hebrews 9:28), and that He also rose again with superiority over death (Acts 2:24). Do that, and you will be saved. (Once more, I direct you to Romans 10:9.)

Please know that Christ conquered death, not only in that moment of Himself, but for all of us eternally, so that no one who accepts this gift will know true death, but live on in eternal perfection (Romans 15:50-57) and joy (Revelation 7:15-17). This gift is awaiting you, as is the Father, with open arms. (Luke 15:11-35)

Do you believe the universe is fatalistic or based on probability?

For the most part, Creation seems to run mechanically,* but God still oversees its processes.
Proverbs 16:33 says,
"The lot is cast into the lap,
But its every decision is from the Lord."

*Math & engineering would not work so consistently if it did not.
