From Beginning to End

Written on August 12, 2024: I have been a little under the weather today and I am very tired. We had no plans for today, so I have been resting up a bit. When I was up for a little while, and my husband and I were talking, the subject somehow went to the songs that the Lord had given me to write, and I mentioned how I had listened to one today that I had totally forgotten existed, for I don’t take the time to go back and listen to them anymore. So he encouraged me that I should do that. So as I was resting, I began listening to those songs.

All of a sudden, I recognized that I was listening to the very first song that the Lord had given me to write on April 6, 2011. Now, before he gave me this song to write, I had not really written songs other than whatever I had to write in one of my music classes in high school and college, and other than me putting a tune to a poem that I had written back in the 1980s. Yet, my husband had been encouraging me for years to write my own songs, but I kept telling him that it was not my gift, which at that time it definitely was not.

Then, on April 6, 2011, all of a sudden I had a tune in my head and I knew that I was to write it down, so I did. And then I asked the Lord for words, and he gave me the words to go with the tune, but just one verse. Later in the day I asked him if he had more words, and he gave me the second verse. Now it had been 40 years since I had last studied music, and I really had no clue what to do with this song or how to communicate it with others, or who I could get to sing it, for I had not really sung much at all for maybe 2 years.

Long story short, I ended up singing all but one of them, because I had no one else to sing them, and I needed to be able to share them, although my voice had certainly met better days. My husband sang with me in a few of them and our daughter sang one of them. But I had to learn how to write them in a format to where they could be recorded, and I had to learn how to record them and then how to share them with others, and that was a long process of learning all sorts of things I had no clue how to do previously. But with the help of my husband and some of my children and two in-law children I learned what I needed. And it was the Lord who strengthened and helped me all throughout this process or I would have never survived it all.

Now, back to the beginning. I was listening to these songs today when the very first song the Lord had given me to write began to play, “Gracious Father.” And the day that he gave me that song I was thrilled beyond measure that he had given me just that one song, for that was a miracle of God! But now back to today, the song that came next I recognized as the very last song the Lord had me write, “When I Was Walking,” dated January 16, 2020.

And as I thought about that for a moment, I realized that he had just taken me “from beginning to end” with just those two songs (a total of 185). For he was showing me the first and the last, the beginning and the end, who is God. He was showing me God, in other words, because all of these songs which were written were not written by me, in reality, but by God, and then he just shared them with me for me to share with others for their encouragement. And he gave me all the tools I needed to do his work.

“I, Paul, myself entreat you, by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away!— I beg of you that when I am present I may not have to show boldness with such confidence as I count on showing against some who suspect us of walking according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.” (2 Corinthians 10:1-6 ESV)

And then I went to where I had left off last in my reading of 2 Corinthians, and the above passage of Scripture is what came next, perfectly in tune with what the Lord had just given me to share with all of you. For what the Lord was having me share with you, prior to me reading this passage, was that the ministry of song writing that he gave to me was from him and not from my human flesh, and I can definitely attest to that. Certainly I had to participate in the process, but it was all under the direction of the Lord.

And that is how it should be for all of us who are ministers for the Lord Jesus and for his gospel message. Not one of us should be operating in our own flesh, doing whatever we decide to do, but we should all be led of the Holy Spirit and we should speak or write or sing or whatever he has us doing as we are inspired and guided by the Spirit of God living within us so that we are giving out His messages and not our own. Again, we still have to do the work, and we still have to participate in the process, but by the Spirit of God.

And, yes, all of us who are doing the work of the ministry, under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit, will face criticism and false judgments from other people, some of whom may accuse us of operating in the flesh and/or of promoting our own flesh. But we can’t let the opinions of other people affect what we do in love response to our Lord Jesus and in obedience to his calling upon our lives. I have to write and publish each day whatever the Lord gives me to share, regardless of how others respond.

When I Was Walking

An Original Work / January 16, 2020

When I was walking along the way,
My Lord was with me, and He did say,
“My child I’m with you. I hear you pray,
‘Oh, help me, Lord! Need You today!’”

He is my friend, near to the end.
Gently leads me. His servant be.
He helps me pray – knows what to say.
He’s all I need. On Him I feed.

When I am wond’ring of what to do,
He gently leads me to what is truth.
He is my helper. He strengthens me.
When I’m in want, supplies my need.

He comforts me with all His love.
Gives me His grace from heav’n above.
I heed His call to watch and pray,
To guard my heart throughout each day.

When He is calling to come to Him,
To let Him lead you, trust Him within,
How will you answer to Him today?
Will you say, “Yes, Lord, have your way”?

Do not neglect to let Him in,
Cleanse you from sin, made new within.
Leave all your sin, obey your Lord,
Trust in His Word – His mighty Sword.

Being Made Right

This song is a 4-part harmony hymn that the Lord gave me to write, but I am singing it as a solo. This song, just like the others, is not for entertainment purposes, though. The singer is me, and I have an old voice that comes, and it goes. So, don’t listen for a great sound or recording, or to be entertained. Just listen for the words, for the message, for the Scriptures in song.

This is one of those “psalms, hymns and spiritual songs” that the Lord has instructed us to speak to one another for the encouragement and for the building up of the body of Christ. He doesn’t say that they have to sound professional, by human standards, for the object is to just share what he gives us to share for the encouragement and strengthening of one another.

Being Made Right

An Original Work / September 8, 2019

Jesus, lover of my soul,
Cleansed and saved me,
Made me whole;
Purified me, now new within.
By His grace, I’m free from sin.

Holy Spirit lives within,
Teaching me to walk with Him,
Guiding me each step of the way.
Living for my Lord each day.

Father God, He is my Lord.
Walk with Him in one accord.
Follow Him wherever He leads,
Living holy, Him to please.

Witnessing for Him each day,
Loving others in His way,
Telling them about Jesus Christ,
And how they can be made right.

The Point of This Is

“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written,
‘He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.’
“He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:6-15 ESV)

The subject matter is the gift of giving to the needs of others within the body of Christ as they had need. And this discussion began at the beginning of chapter 8. The churches of Macedonia, out of their extreme poverty, gave to the needs of others “according to their means,” and beyond their means out of a desire to minister to the relief of the saints who were in need. And they set the example to the church in Corinth to follow in like manner. But they were to give according to their means. And later, when those who were in need no longer were in need, they could then give to others in need.

Now, in the previous writing, “Where is Your Money Going?”, I covered this subject of giving to the church and to the needs of the saints, so I am not going to revisit that subject which you can read about in 2 Corinthians 8-9. But here I believe the Lord is leading me to broaden the subject beyond just financial giving to those within the body of Christ who are in need. For we are to give to others in so many different ways, and not just financially to help meet their physical needs. But we are to give to others spiritually, according to their spiritual needs, to help them to grow in their faith.

For it is true, as well, that if we sow spiritual seed sparingly, we will also reap sparingly. But if we sow spiritual seed bountifully, we will also reap bountifully. And if all that we do is give money or possessions to those who are in financial need but we neglect to minister to them spiritually from the truth of the Scriptures, they may do better in this life in the way of having their physical needs met, but they may not be prepared spiritually to follow Jesus Christ with their lives in death to sin and in living to God and to his righteousness so that they have eternal life with God in heaven.

And this is not teaching works salvation. For the Scriptures teach us that true faith in Jesus Christ results in us being crucified with Christ in death to sin, and us being raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but as slaves to God and to his righteousness. Therefore we are not to let sin reign in our mortal bodies to make us obey its desires, for if sin is what we obey, it leads to death. But if obedience to God is what we obey, it leads to righteousness and to sanctification, and its end is eternal life with Christ our Lord (see Romans 6:1-23).

And the Scriptures teach that, as the body of Christ, that we are to be generous not only financially, but we are to be generous with our time and with our giving to others as they have need spiritually. So, as the body of Christ, we are to be encouraging one another spiritually in our walks of faith to walks of obedience to our Lord in holy living. And we are to be using the spiritual gifts we have been given of the Spirit of God to minister to the saints of the Lord for their spiritual encouragement and maturity in Christ. And we will grow spiritually together as each of us does his/her part.

So, we are also to be speaking the truth in love to one another so that none of us is taken captive by people in their deceitful scheming who are teaching lies to the people rather than the truth of God’s word. And we are to be helping one another to grow to spiritual maturity in our walks of faith and obedience to our Lord in holy living. We are also to be encouraging one another via psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, which we share with the body of Christ, as we are led of the Spirit, for the spiritual encouragement of the entire body of believers in Jesus Christ.

We are to be those who are students of the Scriptures, who are studying them in their appropriate context, who are being led of the Spirit of God as to the truth of what the Scriptures are teaching us, and how they are to be applied to our daily lives. And then, as we are able, and according to the truth of our own walks of faith in the Lord, and not in hypocrisy, we are to be teaching and admonishing one another within the body of Christ. And we are to be exhorting one another daily so we’re not hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. And we’re to stir up one another to love and good works.

[Romans 12:1-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; 1 Corinthians 14:1-5; Galatians 6:1; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:1-16; Ephesians 5:15-21; Ephesians 6:10-20; Philippians 2:1-8; Colossians 3:12-16; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 10:23-25; James 5:19-20]

And we are also to be ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of this world. But we need to make certain that the gospel message that we are spreading is the truth and not the lies which so many are spreading today. For Jesus Christ gave his life up for us on that cross that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. And Jesus said that if anyone would come after him he must deny self, take up his cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to our lives of sin, we will lose them for eternity. But if we die to sin and live for God, we have eternal life with God.

[Luke 9:23-26; Matt 7:21-23; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Rom 6:1-23; Rom 8:1-14; Gal 5:16-21; Eph 5:3-6; Tit 2:11-14; Matt 5:13-16; Matt 28:18-20; Jn 4:31-38; Jn 13:13-17; Jn 14:12; Acts 1:8; Acts 26:18; Rom 10:14-15; Eph 5:11-14; 1 Pet 2:9,21; 1 John 2:6; 1 John 3:4-10]

Who Believes?

An Original Work / October 3, 2013
Based off Isaiah 53

Gospel message, who believes?
Jesus Christ died on a tree,
Saving us from all our sin,
So we might be cleansed within.

Had no beauty found in Him,
That we should desire Him.
Man of sorrows, suffering;
Crushed for our iniquities.

Surely He has borne our griefs;
From our sadness, brings relief.
Bore the stripes; forsaken, He,
So forgiven we might be.

We, like sheep, have gone astray,
Each of us turned his own way.
Jesus calls, “Repent today;
My commandments, now obey.”

Jesus said, to come to him,
We must die to all our sin.
Crucified with Him, we live,
Walking in His righteousness.

Suff’ring servants, we will be,
Taking His identity on us,
When confessing Him
As our Savior, Lord and King.

Why did the women want to anoint the body of Jesus after the burial?

After Jesus had died on the cross, Jn 19:

Wrapping a dead body before burial was a common Jewish practice (Ac 5:5).

Ellicott:

Parallel account, Matthew 27:

Joseph was in a hurry to beat the sunset.

The Marys followed Joseph to learn the location of the tomb. They would be back to the tomb after the Sabbath, more than 24 hours later. Mark 16:

This was not embalming, which was a far more complex procedure involving internal organs.

Why did the women want to anoint Jesus after his body had already been laid in the tomb?

Just before the Sabbath, Joseph did what he could to quickly wrap Jesus' body and spread the spices inside the tomb. After the Sabbath, the women intended to perform more meticulous work on Jesus' body.
Most believers in our day and age are unaware of the common burial practise in the 1st century CE for the wealthy:

After some years the bones of the remaining skeleton would be collected and placed in an ossuary.

A question about giving to “pandhandlers” or the poor.

"Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load." Galatians 6: 4-5. While the Bible says to be generous and helpful to the poor, we should see the situation before making a decision.

Trump v The Deep State documentary

The real Biden was taken out via military tribunal under Trumps administration , so it was Trump who replaced him with the fake Biden.
So there is no way that Trump wants to go to the polls against an intelligent hi IQ Joe Biden.

This is such a bizarre line of thinking.

Trump had Biden murdered at some point during his administration. And then replaced him with a "fake Biden". He then campaigned against this "fake Biden" and lost the 2020 election to (and badly, by 7 million popular votes and 74 electoral votes).

Trump then goes on to spent hundreds of millions of dollars and countless manhours campaigning against the "fake Biden" for the 2024 elections. Only to have the "fake Biden" withdraw from the presidential race and Harris to step in, putting Trump in a statistically much worse position when it comes to his election prospects.

Given that the real Biden is "dead", who's actually president right now? Is it the "fake Biden"? Is it Kamala Harris? Is it Donald Trump? Or someone else?

Also, how many of his other political rivals has Trump had murdered?

A Harris-Walz administration would be a nightmare for free speech

They're not banning books.
Mandating whitewashed inaccurate history.
Threatening to jail journalists.
You're attacking the wrong party.
Attacking disinformation when foreign hackers are flooding the internet with if isn't a problem.
It's only a problem because one unnamed candidate speaks lies instead of truth in a roughly 10 to 1 ratio.

JD Vance has been outspoken in his desire to ban all sorts of things.

The idea that Republicans are the party of personal freedom seems a difficult case to make.

any changes?

Did see the headline about The Last Supper. Rabbi Cahn's continued research is fascinating and compelling yet troubling.. Concern for family, friends, neighbors.

God's judgment isn't a common message. Rabbi sounds the alarm again.

Thankfully The Lord continues to give opportunities to turn to Him.

Abraham offered up his only BEGOTTEN son

New King James Version, Heb 11:

G3439 conveys a sense of uniqueness and not necessarily begottenness.
BDAG μονογενής:

Abraham had begotten Ishmael as well. Isaac wasn't his only begotten son.
English Standard Version did away with the word "begotten":

I think ESV translation here is better.
See also For God so loved the world, that he gave his only BEGOTTEN Son.
μονογενησ / monogenēs always is related to 'bringing forth'; all other instances in the NT where this word occurs relate to really 'only begotten/born' children; so I struggle to see how 'mono' could mean anything else but exclusivity. Elsewhere I read interpretations the word could signal the meaning of 'sole heir' - which may be helpful here.

Maybe an explanation lies in the fact Ishmael and Hagar had already departed from Abraham at that point; yet Ishmael remained Abraham's son; he was present at Abraham's funeral.

And beside Ishmael and Isaac Abraham got 6 more sons by Keturah, at least after the birth of Isaac, but possibly even before the passing of Sarah.

Be Kind To Yourself

YouTube Channel Video Devo
Login to view embedded media “Be Kind To Yourself”
Ephesians 2:10 NLT
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

I have a confession to make right off the bat here. For most of my life, I have had a really bad habit of coming down on myself when I make a mistake or forget to do something. This is something I have been working on for a while, but I still treat myself pretty bad when I mess anything up. The enemy feeds me lies every time I mess up or forget to do something. The enemy tells me I’m worthless, that everyone else would get it right and that I’m just not smart enough.

I’ve dealt with a very low self-esteem for so long, but God is helping me work on this. And, so is my wife and kids. Daily they hear me say something bad about myself and I get in trouble when I do that. If I say, “I’m dumb”, “I’m stupid”, “I can’t get things right”, I get in big trouble with them and they tell me to be nice to myself.

When I read this passage this week, it reminded me that no matter how sometimes I feel about myself, it’s usually very wrong because the enemy wants me to feel worthless, useless and not valued at all.

Friends, think about the first phrase of this passage, “For we are God’s masterpiece”. You and I are God’s MASTERPIECE!!!! How does that make you feel? When I read that, I am reminded how valued and loved I am by God. The enemy is so good at feeding me constant lies about myself. The heartbreak to this behavior of mine is that often I will hear my kids say the same things about themselves. Of course, I tell them to stop saying that, but that’s exactly how I act and what I say when I mess up.

Be kind to yourself! We are a masterpiece created by the Maker of all things. There is nothing useless or worthless about that! If you are reading this and you are finding yourself struggling just like I do daily with self-esteem, remember this passage. You are created anew in Christ Jesus! You are loved and valued by the Maker Himself. He created you and values you more than you’ll ever know.

When you find moments where you come down on yourself and say bad things about yourself, take a deep breath and remember this passage and the fact that God values you. And remember to be kind. We’re always told to be kind to others, but we also need to be kind to ourselves.

Revelation 12

It's gets interesting about Revelation 12.

The woman represents Israel. You could actually connect her with the dream Joseph had in Genesis 37: the sun, moon and stars. The 12 stars represent the 12 tribes of Israel.

The male child is Jesus, since that He came out of the nation of Israel and born of a woman.

The dragon is Satan. When he's about to devour the child, it could represent what Satan had tried to do. Satan motivated Pharaoh to order all of the Hebrew male babies to be thrown to the Nile River. He motivated a wicked woman named Athalia to kill her grandchildren to put an end to the line of David. He also motivated Haman to annihilate all the Jews in order to prevent the Savior from coming. He even motivated Herod to kill the child Jesus when he ordered every male child under the age of 2 to be killed. He motivated people in Nazareth to throw Jesus off a cliff who walked away.

So a lot of stuff going on there in Revelation 12. In a way, it's a Christmas story with a cosmic significant.

God`s Appointed Time for the Rapture.

My best understanding is that it will happen at the battle of Armageddon when some are taken (to death), and some are left to be raised and rule with Him.
What does the Word of GOD say? The battle of Ar-mag-Eddon is against three UNCLEAN SPIRITS LIKE FROGS(WHY FROGS?) , in fact three spirits of demons, a SATANIC TRINITY.

Revelation 16:13-16ISV
13 Then I saw three disgusting spirits like frogs come out of the MOUTH of the dragon(THE BEAST OF THE EARTH-Revelation 13:11), out of the MOUTH of the Beast(THE BEAST OF SEA-REVELATION 13:1-10), and out of the MOUTH of the false prophet(John 5:43-47 combined with 2Thessalonians 2:3-12 and Revelation 13:11).
14 They are demonic spirits that perform signs(2Thessalonians 2:9-10 combined with Revelation 13:13-14). They(THE SATANIC TRINITY) go to the kings of the whole earth (ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom. They will receive authority to rule[g] as kings with the Beast for one hour. They have one purpose: to give their power and authority to the Beast. They will wage war against the lamb, but the lamb will conquer them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings. Those who are CALLED, CHOSEN, and FAITHFUL are with HIM,understand?), and (THE SATANIC TRINITY) shall gather them for this WAR of this great Day of GOD Almighty.~>that is the seventh and last Day or seventh and last millennium.

Our Lord JESUS warned us saying:
15 “See, I am coming like a thief.

HATE your own father and mother

ESV Luke 14:

BDAG μισέω:
① to have a strong aversion to, hate, detest
② to be disinclined to, disfavor, disregard in contrast to preferential treatment

The secondary meaning was applied here. Matthew 10:

Jesus did not mean an absolute hatred but a relative one.

Good News Translation used this nuance:

We are commanded to love God, love our neighbors, and even love our enemies. We should love our family, but we must love God first and foremost.

See also Hebrew words for to like, love, dislike, and hate.
Right. It's not talking about literally hating our family members, but just not loving them more than Jesus because He rightly demands to be first in our lives.

When it talks about God loving Jacob and hating Esau, it should be understood in a similar way. People try to use the idea of God loving Jacob and hating Esau in terms of salvation as if God chose Jacob to salvation and Esau to damnation, but it has nothing to do with that. God did not literally hate Esau. God blessed both of them, but blessed Jacob more in the sense that it was through the nation that came through his line (Israel) that Jesus would come and not through Esau's line (Edom).

In what sense are believers not under the law?

Under the law means under the curse of the law (Gal 3:13), from which Christ redeemed us and to which we are no longer subject.
This is exactly what I was going to say before I saw your post. And the reason why the law was a curse can be seen in the previous verses.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

So, the reason the law was a curse is because the only way someone could be justified by keeping the law is by continuing to do "all things which are written in the book of the law" perfectly without fail, which is not possible for anyone to do besides Jesus. As it says in James 2:10, if you break even one of the commandments of the law, you are guilty of breaking all of them. It's an impossible standard to live up to and that's why it's a curse for anyone who thinks they can be justified by keeping the works of the law.

Who was your first vote when reaching the legal voting age? How has politics changed since then?

EITC still exists, but it's not great enough to be significant. Basically, if you can show that you worked a 9-5 but your income still falls below a certain level (based on other life factors, such as number of dependents), the government sends you a check instead of charging you taxes.

I think significantly enlarging the EITC is better than increasing the federal minimum wage because an increase in the minimum wage pits the people at the bottom of the stack against each other. It's mostly small businesses who hire people at the lower wages, but those small businesses are themselves already operating at razor-thin profit margins. Moreover, the people patronizing those small businesses are likely to also be low-wage earners. Raising the minimum wage puts all three at odds with each other. Enlarging the EITC raises the burden to the federal level where other monies can be appropriated to deal with it.
That sounds like a good system. The EITC should be expanded, plus also, the government should put limits on how much basic utilities such as phone and electricity could charge to folks who make under a certain income, as long as the people promise to keep their phone for long enough, and use under a certain amount of electricity.

Did they bury Jesus before or after sunset?

Do you think that Joseph would close the tomb before allowing the women to give Jesus a proper burial with the spices they prepared?
This is where First-Order Logic comes in. I don't see why not.

Mt 27:
57When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea named Joseph, who himself was a disciple of Jesus. 58He went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him. 59So Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut into the rock. Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance to the tomb and went away. 61Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there opposite the tomb.

This passage makes FOL sense.

Transmission of original/ancestral sin

This is great! "The devil made me do it" and doesn't count against me - because I think or say, "I believe".

JoeT
The devil did it and does it. No person changes that fact by any of their own decisions or actions

Paul nailed this on the head when he said when he did good, evil was in fact present with him. He even defined the sin indwelling him as "NO LONGER I" twice in Romans 7:17-21, admitting also therein that he did evil.

He nailed it again when he showed a "messenger of Satan" in his own flesh, 2 Cor 12:7

Nailed it again in Gal 4:14 showing temptation was in his flesh. What does the tempter do?

All of these things point directly to the fact that the devil sins in people, yes, even in Apostles, after salvation

Mark 4:15 is real for everyone other than God Himself

i am a christian struggling with sin. i need an honest answer. why shouldn't i just kill myself? isn't that preferable to living in sins you can't defeat? i'd rather die and go to heaven than sin against my lord repeatedly day after day. i could lose my chance to repent if i stay alive. aren't i doing the right thing by killing myself, thereby preventing myself from sinning again and losing my chance to enter heaven? what's the point in staying here if all i do is sin every day? what use am i to god here?
I believe the most honest answer you would get is from God's word.
If one is a Christian
  • and they are mentally ill, or struggling with a mental disorder, it would be best for that one to seek medical help. Matthew 9:12
  • and one is not mentally ill in any way, but that one wants to kill themselves,
  • that one is spiritually sick, and needs to seek spiritual help. Mark 2:17; James 5:14, 15
  • to get to heaven rather than die sinning, that one has been misled, and is fooling themselves, because those who go to heaven, (1) are born from God, and cannot practice sin 1 John 3:9, 10; (2) stick faithfully to Jesus through the severest of trials Revelation 14:4; (3) remain faithful to the end Revelation 2:10, and conquer the world 1 John 5:4; Revelation 21:7, 8.
  • and one does not think they are any use to God, that one is not familiar with the teachings of Jesus Christ, and that one need someone to teach them the elementary truths of God’s word all over again, they being still an infant, and not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. Hebrews 5:12-13

    A Turkmen Christian receives baptism.
Turkmenistan, a nation with a 94% Muslim population, is a profoundly restricted country in which Christian worship is limited to churches that are part of government-sanctioned denominations. Additionally, the Turkmen government exerts a high level of control on the entire population, especially upon Christians. Despite the governmental and societal restrictions, the gospel is proclaimed regularly in Turkmenistan through media and personal testimonies. Read More.

The father of a Christian family in Vietnam was given a life sentence for drug possession. The drugs were found in his home during a random police search that happened less than 24 hours after a specific threat was made to the father that something bad would happen if he and his family did not renounce their faith. Front-line workers request prayer for this man and his family as they face this separation and seek justice. Read More.

    Christian Families Separated, Struggling

[6] prayers in [1] nation have been posted for Sudanese Christians.
Christians in camps for displaced people often wait hours for water and worry about lack of food.
Roughly 12 million Sudanese have fled as a result of the civil war between two Islamist generals that has engulfed the country since April 2023. The displaced people include around 750,000 from predominately Christian tribes who have made a harrowing journey to reach the Nuba Mountains, an autonomous region in the south of the country. But the travel and ongoing fighting have separated families. "When the war broke out, we have many people, even my own daughter, that have been caught on [the other] side of Khartoum," said Pastor Morris, a longtime church leader located in the Nuba Mountains. "We do not have any communication with her, and we don't know what she is doing. Read More.

God is spirit

Maybe you haven't seen "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly. And may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blamelessly at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (I Thess 5:23)

But can be put on the "back burner" so to speak.

Bless you.
It does not say there that we "are" spirit. Maybe you have heard the phrase, "he hath a spirit"? When God created man, he fomed him out of the dust of the earth. Then God said to the Serpent, dust shall ye eat, all the days of your life. And to the man he said, from dust thou art cometh, and to dust you shall return. Then he clothed the man in animal skin.

So that's what you have.

Maybe you can ask what animal skin he used.
