  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the "common salvation"...

Peace in Christ.

We…His people…Christ the “first fruits”…are to HEAR the Word of Truth and believe so that we may become a light to those of the outside world (His "creatures") who will then SEE His light.

Jas 1:17-18 KJV
(17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

(18) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

We….who first trust in Christ…HEAR the Word of Truth…and believe. Blessed/happy are those who hear and yet believe.

Eph 1:12-13 KJV
(12) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

(13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

With Christ, we will raise up the tribes of Jacob and restore the preserved of Israel.

We help deliver His people from the man-based churches where they are serving their “graven images”….their church handwritings of ordinances/dogmas by which they are judging others with. They are serving the sin by doing so.

We must “contend for the faith” as certain men have crept in unawares they are preventing the light from shining so that the people of the outside world can be saved (the common salvation).

Jud 1:3-4 KJV
(3) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

(4) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Christ, God (the Father of lights) will give us to be a light to the nations so that a multitude of them may be saved....the “common salvation” as mentioned in Jude 1:3 …the salvation unto the end of the earth.

His light is not being seen over us when we are a part of the churches of men. We must come out from among them so that we may shine as lights in this world.

He will then give us power over the nations ( Revelation 2:26).

Isa 49:6-7 KJV
(6) And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

We were once hated by all nations because of His name (Matthew 24:9)…but now He gives us power over them and their kings shall then SEE His light in us and arise….princes shall also worship…

(7) Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

The Son of man must be raised up….being exalted….extolled…and be very high....for God so loved (in this way He loves) the world that He gives His only begotten Son....

Joh 3:14-17 KJV
(14) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
(15) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Isa 52:13-15 KJV
(13) Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

The people of the outside world were once appalled at Him…they hated us. His view was so marred more than any man. They hated us because of His name’s sake. There was nothing beautiful for them to SEE as false prophets led His people astray.

(14) As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

But now, they will SEE what they had not been told. They will consider what they had NOT HEARD.

(15) So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

They will see the life of the Son of man revealed in us. The glory of the Lord shall be seen by the outside world just be looking at our “open face” which shall reflect His glory to those who are in deep spiritual darkness. But currently there is "no form" for them to see.

2Co 3:17-18 KJV
(17) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

(18) But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

I BEHELD the earth and lo, it was without form and void.

The “earth”…the people of the outside world….are presently without the form of Christ (His view…His visage) and are void of the knowledge of the glory of God because His people (the “heavens”) are without His light to show them.

The “heavens”…His people…have no light to shine to the rest of the people of this earth (“the earth”). His people are without understanding. They have no knowledge to do good. They have no light to shine to the outside people of this world as a result.

Jer 4:21-23 KJV
(21) How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?
(22) For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

(23) I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

But the spirit of the Lord moves upon the face…that is, the faces (plural)…of the waters (people) so that the people of the outside world (the “earth”) may SEE His light. God SAW that the light was good.

Gen 1:2-3 KJV
(2) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face (FACES) of the waters.

(3) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The believers that will see His light are then separated from the unbelievers. The believers are called “Day” and the unbelievers are called “night.”

Gen 1:4-5 KJV
(4) And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

(5) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Does God love everyone?

English Standard Version, Jn 3:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Strong's Greek: 2889. κόσμος (kosmos) — 186 Occurrences

G2889 was polysemantic. BDAG:
① that which serves to beautify through decoration, adornment, adorning
② condition of orderliness, orderly arrangement, order
③ the sum total of everything here and now, the world, the (orderly) universe
④ the sum total of all beings above the level of the animals, the world
⑤ planet earth as a place of inhabitation
humanity in general
⑦ the system of human existence in its many aspects
⑧ collective aspect of an entity, totality, sum total

God so loved humanity in the world that he sent his only Son into the world to save them. 1J 4:

9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world [G2889], so that we might live through him.
1P 3:

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God.
Generally speaking, God loves everyone. The problem is that not everyone loves him back.

Does God love everyone equally?

No. Ro 9:

13 As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
It depends on God's sovereign choice. God loves everyone universally, though not equally.

Godly Discipline

“In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.” (1 Timothy 4:6-10 NASB’95)

These were Paul’s instructions to Timothy, a man of God, who was in a position of spiritual authority within the church. So all of this is not going to apply to all of us, although I believe much of it will, based off other Scriptures which were written to the church, the body of Christ, overall. For God pours out his Spirit on all of his children, male and female, and all of us are given gifts of the Spirit, and we are all to be encouraging and exhorting one another and speaking the truth in love to one another in the church.

[Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:1-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; 1 Corinthians 14:1-5; Galatians 6:1; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:1-16; Ephesians 5:15-21; Ephesians 6:10-20; Philippians 2:1-8; Colossians 3:12-16; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 10:23-25; James 5:19-20]

Now, biblically speaking, women are not to be in positions of authority over men, and we are not to be those who instruct (teach) men as if in positions of authority over them. I believe there may be exceptions to this, such as a single woman missionary on the mission field, or when there are no biblically qualified men to fill the positions, which, in truth, I believe there are few biblically qualified men today. So many have gone the way of the world and are altering the gospel and are approving of sinful practices.

But there are ways in which the Lord can use women to do some of these things without them being in authority over anyone, such as what the Lord has been having me do about 21 years now. For I can write down what he is teaching me from his word each day, and I can post these writings on the internet, and both men and women can read them if they want to, but no man is being forced to read what the Lord has me post, and I am not in authority over anyone, male or female. So people read or don’t by choice.

So, in these writings, I can point out the same things that Paul told Timothy to point out, but without specifically instructing, teaching, or ruling over anyone. And the first things Timothy was to point out had to do with the later times in which some will fall away from (depart from, abandon) true biblical faith in the Lord Jesus, because they are listening to the hypocrisy of liars with seared consciences teaching what is of deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons. We all need to guard ourselves against these.

But pointing out what the Scriptures teach in contrast to the lies is something that all of us should be doing, male or female. All of us are assigned specific roles within the universal body of Christ, and are given gifts of the Spirit to be used within the body of Christ to encourage and to strengthen one another, and to warn one another against deceitful liars who are manipulating the Scriptures by teaching them out of context to make them say what they don’t say if taught in context.

And we should all be sharing the truth of the gospel, and not the lies which are so popular, with the people of the world and with the worldly church, under the authority of God, and where we are given permission to speak. And we should be telling all who will listen that Jesus died on that cross, not just to forgive sins, but to deliver us out of our slavery (addiction) to sin. And he was resurrected from the dead in victory over sin, death, hell, and Satan, so that we might now live holy and godly lives, pleasing to him.

For we are not saved from our sins and headed to heaven just on the basis of lip service only. According to the Scriptures, faith, which is of God, should result in us dying with him to sin and walking in obedience to his commands, in his power and strength. Our lives are now to be surrendered to the Lord, to doing his will, and no longer should be given over to sinful pleasures. For if sin is what we practice, and not obedience to God, then we do not have salvation from sin and eternal life with God guaranteed.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 1:12-13; John 6:44; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 2:6-8; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:5-10; 1 John 2:3-6; 1 John 3:4-10]

Oh, to Be Like Thee, Blessed Redeemer

Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm, 1897
Music by W. J. Kirkpatrick, 1897

Oh, to be like Thee! blessèd Redeemer,
This is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

Oh, to be like Thee! full of compassion,
Loving, forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting,
Seeking the wandering sinner to find.

O to be like Thee! lowly in spirit,
Holy and harmless, patient and brave;
Meekly enduring cruel reproaches,
Willing to suffer others to save.

O to be like Thee! while I am pleading,
Pour out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love;
Make me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,
Fit me for life and Heaven above.

Oh, to be like Thee! Oh, to be like Thee,
Blessèd Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

Godly Discipline
An Original Work / March 28, 2025
Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Are there any denominations that don't believe everything from the Bible?

Or who don't believe it's the word of God, or the perfect word of God.

I believe everything in the Bible, and that it is the perfect word of God, and that Jesus really did resurrect from the dead. That Noah really did build a ark and there was a flood, and that giants have existed, and the snake in the garden was actually talking to Adam and Eve. I also believe that Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and parted the Red Sea to allow them to cross. All these things really happened.

And when the book of Revelation says that there will be these scorpion creatures that will sting people, and when the Bible says they will have human like faces I believe it.

I was having a discussion with a non-denomination Christian, and he said those scorpion like creatures are probably just human made tanks, and that humans are the ones driving it, his explanation was that this was their way of describing a tank to people back then because they would have no idea if we just said a machine with tracks, and a long cannon in the front, so the people who wrote the Bible just said scorpion creatures that will sting people.

But this makes absolutely no sense what he just told me, what tank on this earth has a stinger and a face that looks human?

The issue isn't really biblical inspiration or inerrancy here, it's hermeneutics. People that are obsessed with prophecy and wrangle it to fit their present circumstances risk getting off track and not seeing the forest through the trees.

My spirit, personality, and identity got messed up after this strange experience. What should I do?

Around two years ago, I was in a bad place in life and I was trying to find ways to improve myself and I got into self improvement content. Ever since last year, I would have doubts that I would become the person that I was meant to be. I would be having these negative thoughts about people abusing me and messing with me in the worst ways possible and stopping me from becoming who I was meant to become. It felt so real. Later on, these thoughts manifested into vivid visions of me crying and I would feel like crying but not physically. It's like I cried but I didn't physically cry at all. I would have visions of abuse happening to me and it would feel like the abuse actually happened. I would feel as if my spirit/subconscious was acting out in the real world for me. These were fueled by feelings of fear and that my freedom and way of life that I loved would be taken away from me. The worst part is that I would put way too much energy into this stuff. I would feel like someone would come along and hurt me badly. It then got worse as later on in 2024, I would be having these weird and strange mental visualizations/visions in my head that show me being disrespected and humiliated. These visions was caused by intense anxiety and fears of something taking away my freedom and life from me. Over the upcoming months, I would start to believe that I had high ambitions, high purpose and life would seem so fun to me. This is not mania or psychosis because I was just having a confidence and a normal ambition in me that everything would work out great. I would believe that I had a higher calling and some kind of purpose. Over the following months leading up to November 14th, I would feel extreme fear and anxiety that something was going to take me over and take away my way of life and control me or something. It's crazy and strange. Then I started getting visions that I was being brutally tortured by someone. However, the people who were torturing me and abusing me in these visions included people that existed in real life. So these are visions of people that exist in real life that are torturing me in these visions. These were the same people who were abusing me and making me feel down in my other visions of abuse. It happened out of nowhere suddenly. I was just closing my eyes and I get these weird sensations and mental visualizations of me being tortured by someone and then it would be very vivid, more vivid than any other type of visualization or dream that I had in the past. When I think about these visions, they don't progress into anything anymore. It feels like I am dead. This all happened and then suddenly this is my ongoing issue in my life:

My mind feels weird and I feel like my personality, identity, and my character died. I feel like my mind isn't operating as a part of me anymore. My mind is not working right. I had some intense mental visualizations/imaginations/visions that included in me being tortured by someone or being abused and all of a sudden, I feel strange. I feel like I was really connected to those visions in some way. It was as if the damage that was done in the visions was connected in some way. I feel like major parts of my identity and personality have been diminished and weakened. It's like the traits and characteristics that made me myself get affected and weakened so severely that I can't even recognize them anymore. It's very subtle. It's as if it is not a part of me anymore. It is very, very similar to what people would describe as an ego death. These are my cognitive issues: Severe issues with learning, memories issues, severe lack with logical thinking skills, critical thinking lacking skills, struggling to think things through, struggles with thinking for myself, struggles with understanding and comprehending information immediately, not being sharp as I used to be, etc. Things that I was, things that I liked and hated now seem diminished to me in feelings. I feel as if my personality is not operating fully in me at all. I have strong brain fog that blocks me from thinking critically and logically as well. It's hard for me to think deeply, learn new things and to improve my life better. I was heavily into personal development in my life. When this happened to me, I lost all of the motivation and drive to improve my life in different areas. I was not sad when this happened. It's like I had the momentum taken away from me. When I try to think about the thoughts that I had about improving my life and to better myself and anything that happened in the past, I feel like it's so foreign and different to me, as if it happened in a different reality. I can't even seem to remember the past and it's like I have to fight back to get the feelings and sensations that I once had. There are times when I can't even discern the thoughts that I have in my mind, whether it's intrusive thoughts, impulsive or rational feelings. How do I get help from this? The key to understanding this is that I seemed to put way too much energy into all of this paranoia and negative thoughts here but it shouldn't have manifested into something like this. I need serious help here. I won't take going to a psychiatrist as an answer here because I need serious help for certain. I have a deep conviction and common sense to understand that this is definitely not mental health related issues. What exactly is this? I need a word here. I just want to get back to normal and I don't want to keep living like this. It's horrible.
Have you suffered some type of abuse in the past?

NPR chief admits dismissing Hunter Biden laptop story was a mistake

It wasn't a mistake. It was deliberate.
Rank censorship and efforts to manipulate public opinion to affect an election outcome is just "a minor mistake" if you do it to the benefit of a certain political party - at least in the eyes of NPR admin - apparently.

Faith leaders gather around Trump to pray in Oval Office: 'incredible day'

Obviously governments have to have sound economic policies. However, many American conservatives are dishonest in promoting their economic policies, and only choose to support policies according to an ideology that ultimately is a fig leaf to cover exploitation of working people and creating more wealth primarily for those that engage in rent seeking and other non-productive, exploitative economic activity.

That's not really true. Raising the cap on Social Security payroll taxes would be a straightforward solution to ensure the long-term viability of the Social Security trust fund. It's currently capped at 150,000 dollars.

Not really. Higher taxes on the wealthy could help to fight inflation in many ways. Wealthy people use their additional wealth to buy up additional assets, which makes things like housing prices and rent more expensive- that's inflation.

You are potentially misunderstanding this as primarily about "compassion", this is about economic justice and the long-term health of the United States as a republic. It's not just homeless people that are suffering under the current American laissez-faire system, it's the vast majority of Americans. The first serious injury of our current system is to our democratic ideals, since large amounts of money in the hands of too few leads to many opportunities for corruption and rent-seeking behaviors, as we see in our current political and economic order, instead of wise use of tax dollars into genuinely productive investments that would benefit society as a whole.
Thank you for the detailed response. I’ll be the first to admit that economics isn’t my area of expertise, so I’ll leave some of those policy specifics to others who are more informed. I'd genuinely be interested in hearing perspectives from different sides of the aisle on this.

On the issue of compassion, I didn’t mean to suggest that it’s the primary concern of only one political group. I fully agree that compassion is one component of a much broader framework of economic justice. My earlier comment was more in response to the broader tone of the thread, specifically, the idea that one political party reflects the teachings of Jesus more closely than the other when it comes to caring for the poor.

act of desecration

The breath of Life will enter the womb of your wife.

Do not desecrate the holy place with your idols.

How will you escape judgment?
I imagine "The breath of Life will enter the womb of your wife" is about pregnancy, but how does desecrating a holy place with idols relate to a wife becoming pregnant? Also, who do you mean by "You" and "your?"

Some Will Abandon the Faith

“But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron.” (1 Timothy 4:1-2 NASB’95)

I do believe that we are now living in those “later times” when some will depart from (fall away, abandon) the faith. And what is faith? The word means “to persuade,” and for the Christian it means to be persuaded by God, which results in fidelity and faithfulness to God and to the teachings of the Scriptures on how we are to live as those who profess the name of Jesus. For God persuades us as to his holiness and righteousness, and of our sinfulness, and of our need to die to sin and to walk in obedience to him.

And the Bible teaches faith as obedience to God, and disobedience as unbelief. For if we claim to be in fellowship with God, or to know God intimately, and to be in relationship with him, but we continue in deliberate and habitual sin against the Lord, without genuine repentance, and if obedience to God is not what we practice, then we are liars who do not live by the truth. And if we do not change, but we continue on that same course, then we will not inherit eternal life with God, regardless of what our lips say.

Now the faith to believe in Jesus Christ comes from God, it is authored and perfected by Jesus Christ, it is persuaded of God, and it is gifted to us by God, and it is not of our own doing – not of the will nor of the flesh of man. And it is not of our own fleshly works – not our faith and not our salvation. But we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared in advance that we should walk in them. And he demands death to sin and walks of obedience to him, in the power of God.

For Jesus taught that if anyone would come after him that he must deny self, take up his cross daily (die daily to sin) and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to our lives of living in sin and for self, we will lose them for eternity. But if we deny self, and put sin to death, by the Spirit, and we walk (in conduct, in practice) in obedience to our Lord, then we have eternal life with God. For Jesus said that not everyone professing him as “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING (obeying) the will of God the Father.

[Matthew 7:21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 1:12-13; John 6:44; Acts 26:18; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 10:23-31; Hebrews 12:1-2]

So, to fall away from (abandon, depart from) the faith, it would seem that faith initially did exist or that there was some semblance of acceptance of at least parts of the Christian faith and practice. But many make professions of faith in Jesus Christ but they never die with him to sin and they never walk in obedience to his commands (in practice). Their confessions of faith are lip service only while they still walk in sin and do what they want to do regardless of what God demands or what is right in the eyes of God.

For they are following after deceiving spirits who are convincing them that their sins do not matter to God and that they can continue living in sin, and not in obedience to the Lord, and still have their sins forgiven, and still be in relationship with God, and still have heaven secured for them when they die. But the Scriptures dispel that notion over again. And I am not saying that a genuine follower of Jesus Christ cannot fall back into sin. We all can if we are not guarded and if we are allowing the lies to consume us, and not the truth.

But the Scriptures make a distinction between those who never did die to sin and who never walked in obedience to the Lord, but who professed faith in Jesus Christ convinced all their sins were forgiven and that heaven was secured them, and those who, by genuine faith in the Lord died to sin and now are daily putting sin to death and are walking in obedience to the Lord and to his commands. And they make it clear that if sin is our practice, and not obedience to God, that we will not inherit eternal life with God.

Yet many people today who profess faith in Jesus Christ are still walking in sin, still deliberately and habitually sinning against the Lord, and against other humans, convinced that they do not have to repent of their sins and that they do not have to obey God, and that they will still go to heaven. And this is because they are following after deceiving spirits and teachings taught by hypocritical liars, whose consciences are seared, as with a hot iron. They are insensitive to moral wrongdoings, and so they sin without conscience.

And no matter how much they have read and/or taught the Scriptures, or how much truth they have been taught, and had reinforced in their lives, it doesn’t seem to impact them to the point of genuine heartfelt change and repentance and walks of obedience to the Lord. For they listen to the deceiving spirits, instead. And they convince themselves that the sins that they are committing will not be held against them. And they may even make false promises to change, but their hearts remain the same.

The big problem we have today is that so many prominent people in the “Christian community” are teaching a very altered and diluted version of the gospel of Christ which does not require death to sin and walks of obedience to our Lord in holy living. For they call that “works salvation,” and so they feel they have the freedom to keep on living for self and in sin, without conscience, convinced that all their sins are forgiven, and that heaven is guaranteed them, no matter how they live. Bad theology!!

And so we have many people giving lip service to the Lord who are still living sinful lifestyles, many in addictive sinful patterns of behavior, such as in sexual immorality and moral perversion. And even though the Scriptures teach that if sin is our practice, and not obedience to God, that we will not inherit eternal life with God, they ignore those Scriptures, and they tag them as “legalism” or as “works salvation,” which they believe they can ignore. And they remain convinced that they are saved on their way to heaven.

So, please know what the Scriptures teach on the subject of faith, salvation, obedience, submission, and repentance, but please read these Scriptures in their proper context. And then die to sin and obey the Lord with your life.

As the Deer

By Martin J. Nystrom
Based off Psalm 42:1

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after You
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You

You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You

New Chancellor

Shalom, dear brothers and sisters,

Thank you for your prayers!!!

May the Lord bless you abundantly (Luke 6:38, Job 42:10) and may he bless Israel in Jesus' name, Amen!

I bring Christian Stocker today with a request for prayer.

He has been the new Chancellor here in Austria since March 3, and I pray that God grants him wisdom and skill to lead this country and protects him from "false" advisors (2 Chronicles 10:1-19) so that God's people here in Austria may prosper (1 Timothy 2:2).

And I pray that God grants him new life in his Son, Jesus Christ (John 3), in Jesus' name, Amen.

"God our Savior desires all people to be saved and to know the truth." (1 Tim. 2:3-4)

Sole Deo Gloria

PS And I pray that the Lord will send out harvesters into his harvest (Matt. 9:38)

Girls Forced to Undress In Front Of Transgirl in School

I mean, what about woman who suffered extreme trauma at the hands of a man? Let's say they were once raped by a man in the bathroom. How would it be fair for that woman if she could nolonger feel safe in a woman's bathroom because she is afraid that a man might be in there?
It doesn't matter what the woman feels, only what the man feels. Or in the OP it doeant matter what the girls feel, just the boy.

NASA’s Curiosity Rover Detects Largest Organic Molecules Found on Mars: decane, undecane, and dodecane

If scientists are looking for decane, undecane, and dodecane on Mars, are dentists looking for novacane (sic).

I posed the question to GPT-4.

We are doomed AI understands an appalling Dad joke and responds in kind.
Sigh ..:sigh: ... ah dunno .. just aint no respect for pre-biotic focused Astrobiologists .. yet again!

It shoulda sent you off to calculate the assembly index of novacaine, or reciting the sequence of aminos in tintin .. as punishment for such disrespect!?
:p :)
(Mind you, I think its joke might well be an even more severe punishment?)

Senate confirms Trump's pick, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, to lead NIH

Trump feels the need to appoint people with contrarian beliefs that don't match the scientific, medical, or economic consensus... as long as they tell him what he and his base wants to hear.

The Great Barrington Declaration pitted unknown and vague risks, like 'poor mental health outcomes', against real, known risks, like respiratory failure, death, and long COVID. That doesn't sound like good public health policy.

Follow Him in Every Way

Time, it is not on our side.
People, many filled with pride.
Witness, many speaking lies.
Many people God defy.

Truth, it has been turned to lies.
Christians, many Christ deny.
Many on their sins rely.
Liars lies into they buy.

Christ, who died for all our sins
Rose from dead o’er sin did win.
Faith in Him we are forgiv’n
So we can have life in heav’n.

Faith, it is not of ourselves.
Die to sin, in Him we dwell.
Walk with Him, obeying Him,
Over sin our victory win.

Go with Him where’er He leads.
On His word we daily feed.
He will meet all of our needs
When we serve Him with our deeds.

Follow Him in every way,
Do His will, bow down and pray.
Share His gospel, truth to tell.
Do not follow lies that sell.

Power Belongs to God

“Once God has spoken;
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God;
And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord,
For You recompense a man according to his work.”
(Psalms 62:11-12 NASB’95)

Does God still speak to his people? To those who believe in Jesus Christ with God-persuaded and God-gifted faith in him? To those who have been crucified with Christ in death to sin, and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness? Does he show us what he has for us specifically regarding the gifts of the Spirit given to us, and the body parts assigned to us by God? Does he lead us in the ways he would have us go?

Yes, he does! How does he speak to us? Through his written word, the Scriptures, the Bible (Genesis to Revelation), via the Holy Spirit. But not only through the Scriptures. We have been given the Holy Spirit within us to speak to us all things about God/Christ, and to teach us, to give us counsel, to encourage us, to correct us, to warn and caution us against danger, and to show us what gifts he has for us, and what body parts we are assigned by God, and so we will know God’s specific callings on our individual lives.

[Mk 13:11; Lu 2:26; Lu 4:18-19; Lu 10:21; Lu 12:11-12; Jn 14:26; Jn 15:26; Jn 16:13; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:17-18; Acts 11:12; Acts 13:2; Acts 20:23; Rom 8:9,14; 1 Co 2:14-16; 1 Co 6:19-20; 1 Co 12:1-31; Rom 12:1-8; Eph 4:1-16, etc.]

But all things must be tested against the Scriptures, taught in their proper context. For many people abuse and misuse the gifts of the Spirit and the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and many are proclaiming all kinds of things as though they are of God when they are contrary to the teachings of the Scriptures. But we don’t “throw out the baby with the bathwater,” i.e. just because some people abuse and misuse the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit does not mean we throw them all away.

We should be able to hear the Spirit’s voice just like the people of biblical times could hear his voice, not always through the prophets, and not always through the apostles, and not always just through the Scriptures, but via the Spirit of God speaking inaudibly in our minds and hearts directing us in the ways in which the Lord wants each of us individually to go. Like the Lord might call you to a specific ministry you may have not considered before, or he may lead you to move to another location where he wants to use you.

This is like how God spoke to Moses and told him to rescue God’s people from slavery in Egypt, and how God gave him specific instructions in what he was to do and to say. And like he called Noah to build that ark and to fill it with his family and two of every kind of creature on the earth, because God was going to flood the earth and kill every living creature which/who was not in the ark. And like he called Abraham and told him where to go and what to do. And like God visited many of them in dreams and visions as a way of showing them what he wanted them to do or to learn and to obey.

And we are not to put out the Spirit’s fire. We are not to quench the Spirit. We must test everything against the Scriptures, and in prayer, to make certain it is God we are hearing from, and that what we are hearing is not against the Scriptures, but we need the Spirit to lead us in very specific ways that we are not going to get from the Scriptures alone. And we need the Spirit to give us understanding of the events of these last days so that we don’t fall for the lies of the enemy and so our eyes are open to truth.

And he will show us, if we are willing, where we have been taught things wrongly, and where we need to see them through the eyes of the Lord, and in the Scriptures in their proper context. And he will help us to see what is really going on in our world and in the political arena so that we are not deceived, and so that we are not being led astray by men in their cunning and craftiness and deceitful scheming. For not everything is as they say it is, and not everything is what it looks like on the surface. Lies and liars abound!

And then we must not fear the direction that our nations and our world are headed, for the Bible prophesied that all this stuff was going to take place. And because the Scriptures did and do warn us in advance of these things, we, thus, should not be taken in by the lies, because we should be able to see that God told us in advance that these things would happen, and we are seeing them take place. And we should pray for spiritual discernment and stop believing everything we hear or read in the news. So many lies!!

Now none of this can take place unless God allows it, and he allows it for a purpose. And one of the purposes of what we are seeing right now, I believe, is to judge the adulterous and idolatrous church here in America, and perhaps in other nations, for so much of what is called “church” today doesn’t even resemble the biblical body of Christ and the teachings in the Scriptures on what that should look like. For we are to be helping one another to not walk in sin but to obey our Lord, but that is being rejected.

So some people are not going to see the goings on in the world as the lovingkindness of God. God is not the author of evil, though, but he will use evil people as his instruments of judgment against other evil people, especially against his idolatrous and adulterous church who have fallen prey to the deceptions of the flesh, and have adopted the philosophies and the ways of this fallen world, and have become so much like the world in order to attract the world to their gatherings. And this will be to revive them.

For, in the end, when Jesus returns to judge and to take his faithful ones to be with him for eternity, many are going to stand before the Lord in judgment claiming him as Lord, and professing all the things they believed they did in his name, and many are going to hear him say, “I never knew you. Depart from me you workers of lawlessness.” Why? Because they would not believe him when he said that not everyone who gives him lip service will enter the kingdom of heaven, but those doing (obeying) his will.

What we are going through right now, and what is yet to come, because of the cruelty of much of it, some people may blame God. But it is not God’s fault if we don’t listen to him, and if we do not obey him, and if we ignore him and we go our own way, and do our own thing, and live however we want, and then expect that God is going to let us into his heaven. He told us if we don’t obey him, and if we continue in deliberate sin, that we will not inherit eternal life with him. We just need to listen to him and obey him.

[Matt 7:13-14,21-23; Lu 9:23-26; Jn 10:27-30; Ac 26:18; Rom 2:6-8; Rom 6:1-23; Rom 8:1-14; Rom 12:1-2; 1 Co 6:9-10,19-20; 1 Co 10:1-22; 2 Co 5:10,15,21; Gal 5:16-24; Gal 6:7-8; Eph 2:8-10; Eph 4:17-32; Eph 5:3-6; Col 1:21-23; Col 3:1-17; Tit 2:11-14; Heb 3:1-19; Heb 4:1-13; Heb 10:23-31; Heb 12:1-2; 1 Pet 2:24; 1 Jn 1:5-10; 1 Jn 2:3-6,15-17; 1 Jn 3:4-10]

How Long Till the Morning

Scripture: I Thessalonians 4:17
By C. E. Couchman

Consider the mornings of this mortal land,
Each a new beginning from the Maker’s hand.
While the storms may gather ‘gainst the evening sky,
The day breaks cloudless in the morning.

Rise up to the battle, for the skies dawn clear.
Let us gather courage while the foe draws near.
Though the night falls weary, saints of God, march on!
And He’ll raise our banner in the morning.

When the trumpet sounds to signal Heaven’s day,
Resurrection Morning when the dead shall wake,
What a glorious gath’ring when the Lord descends
And we rise to meet him in the morning.

How long, my Lord? Till we see the morning?
How long, O, my Lord, till we see your face?
O my Lord, guide us through our troubles
Till we rise above them in the morning.

Mom Says Feds Yanked Security Status After Complaints About ‘Polysexual’ Posters at School

The same day as the police chief’s email message, the anti-terrorism program manager of the 87th Security Forces Squadron at the military base, Joe Vazquez, sent an email message saying he was contacting “our partners with NJ Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness as well as the NJ State Police Regional Operations Intelligence Center,” explaining: “Both agencies analysts keep an eye on far right/hate groups.”

Reading resigned from the regional school board Dec. 7, 2022, during the uproar over her online posts about the posters. Her husband also resigned from the local school board.
