Was Jesus crucified where Isaac was almost sacrificed?

Genesis 22:

2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”
Originally, Moriah was the name of a general region. The specific site was shown later to Abraham on location.

Centuries later, in 1 Chronicles 21:

18 Then the angel of the LORD ordered Gad to tell David to go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
Some years later, in 2 Chronicles 3:

1 Then Solomon began to build the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David. It was on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, the place provided by David.
At this point, Mount Moriah was connected to Abraham's near sacrifice of Isaac and David's altar. That's the spot where Solomon built his magnificent temple. Abraham, David, and Solomon built their altars there.

Now fast-forward to the NT, Pilate delivered Jesus to be crucified in Matthew 27:

31 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him.
From Pilate's court, Jesus traveled to Golgotha:

32 As they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to carry his cross. 33 And when they came to a place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull), 34 they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it. 35 And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments among them by casting lots.
Jesus was crucified in Golgotha outside the city gate of Jerusalem. Hebrews 13:

11 The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp. 12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.
Was Jesus crucified where Isaac was almost sacrificed?

Probably not exactly the same spot. Jesus was crucified outside of Herod's temple, in fact, outside of Jerusalem. The two locations likely were not that far away from each other.

trading for talents

I decided I would focus most my time on my spiritual talent my knowledge that I should preach and reading bible and other christian books such as apologetics and being encouraged how christ was with others in persecution and being a missionary and focus on how to serve that I would not be distracted by tv and games though I want to watch tv and play games but it must not come before christ.I will only do if I feel I need break and also seek some way to serve such as learn skills and teach it and work but first preaching more and not be distracted by earthly pleasures such as tv and games or I will do only after I spent most time with christ as it is a talent also can be used to communicate with others about tv.

For others acquaintances and when dating persons prefer someone knowledeable about things having hobbies like games and games can help increase mental capacity and teach how to play to help others play games with others to know to interact with others to share gospel but I must not be too focused as bible says childhood and youth is vanity.

Gold Dinar: the Real Reason Behind Gaddafi’s Murder

Are we referring to Colonel Gaddafi who ordered the Pan Am 103 attack, resulting in 190 American deaths?
No records show Gadaffi ordered the bombing, he released two Libyan suspects to the Scottish authorities when requested, one was convicted

The Pan Am 103 incident took place in Dec 1988, Gadaffi's overthrow took place in 2011 some 33 years later "After" Gadaffi created the African Dinar (Gold) in 2009 to replace the US Dollar for trade in world oil markets as documented

Barrack Obama in 2011 launched 110 US tomahawk missiles upon Libya a sovereign nation in its overthrow, its was all about Gadaffis Gold African Dinar and a world monetary system for trade, he upset the european imperialistic apple cart, and he was murdered and his Gold was robbed for doing so

Red Wednesday puts Christian persecution in the spotlight

From Sydney to Santiago, Chile, Catholics across the globe are coming together this November to stand in solidarity with those who suffer for their faith.

Persecution and discrimination against Christians around the world is getting worse — that’s the stark warning from the pontifical charity that works with thousands of vulnerable Christian communities in 140 countries.

This coming Nov. 20 will mark “Red Wednesday,” a commemoration held annually by Aid to the Church in Need to highlight the fact that today one in seven Christians face extreme hostility, violence and repression because of their faith in Christ. In some countries, the observance is being extended throughout the week and is called a “Red Week.”

Using red to highlight Christian persecution

Foreknowledge

It is extremely difficult for us to place ourselves “outside of time” since we are only in time.

God would know most of Joseph’s brothers wanted to get rid of him (do evil to him), but also some brothers would not murder their father’s son, so God providing an alternative to killing Joseph by them selling him into slavery in a far-off country. They’re even wanting to kill Joseph is a sin, but God would keep them from the actual act of killing Joseph.

God is not limited by time and we experimentally have shown over the last 100 years; time is relative.

Time has been shown experimentally over the last 100 years to be relative and no experiment has shown time to not be relative. God may have created time, but even if God did not, He still would not be limited by time, His relative time does not have to be controlled by our relative time.

Think about this: If I know a truly free will choice you made yesterday that choice is fixed and cannot be changed, since it is history and history cannot be changed (it happened). The fact I know your free will choice of yesterday does not keep it from being your free will choice.

Just because your free will choice tomorrow is fixed does not mean God is the one fixing it, since you are the one who fixed the choice by making the choice of your own free will.

History cannot be changed even if God was the only one to know about something that has happened, since it still happened it is history. Since God does everything right perfectly the first time, there is no reason to do it over again.

God is outside of time and omnipresent throughout time, so God at the end of time knows everything historically that has happened throughout time, making it unchangeable (fixed). Yet again just because God at the end of time knows all things that happened throughout time perfectly, does not mean human autonomous free will choices were not made and thus “fixed” by man making the choice.

God’s actions are also fixed and can be called foreordained or predestined.

God did not present this miraculous method of “how” He knows the future, but that is not unusual while communicating to man from man’s perspective is also God’s way.

With Peter, God at the end of time, this same God throughout time, knows what Peter and Christ chose to do with Christ being supplied the information by God of the end of time. Christ knowing the unrepentant state Peter was in can also realize His words will not keep Peter from sinning, but will help Peter to repent in the end, but it is still Peter’s choice.

There is another reason the Bible does not explain God’s time being even different from human time and thus presenting the idea of “time being relative”. If the Bible did say, “Time is relative”, then there would be scientific “proof” of the Biblical God, since the idea of time being relative comes up thousands of years later. The nonbeliever doe not need “knowledge” of the Biblical God, but faith in the Biblical God, so this knowledge is kept from us.

There are other ways God can know stuff, but He is outside of time, so He also knows everything historically throughout time?

God is very much interacting with humans, and He does the absolute best thing, so there is no reason for a do over.

Jesus knew when He was teaching His disciple, what He would be going through on the cross as pure history, but that does not mean He was on the cross constantly or it would not hurt him.

Kamala Harris rejects religious exemptions for abortion laws: ‘That cannot be negotiable’

There are exceptional cases in which an abortion is necessary to save the woman's life, but as I've said before: Public policy should be based on the average situation, not the exceptional situation. Exceptions to public policy can be made for exceptional situations.

'Heretic': Decent horror film with surprisingly deep religious belief talk (review)

SPOILER ALERT:This post contains details about, and a major spoiler for, the movie "Heretic." Don’t read unless you are OK with having a major part of the plot revealed.

I’ve written before in other posts how my oldest daughter and I are fans of scary, thriller movies. So, when we saw the trailer for “Heretic,” we knew we’d be sitting in our usual theater seats for its opening weekend.

From the trailer and initial reviews we read, we thought it was going to be a decent creeper, and we weren’t disappointed. But what I didn’t expect was a movie that presented the heaviest theatrical narrative I’ve seen in a long time about religious belief and disbelief.

Sotomayor won't resign from Supreme Court

that is not privataztion. There is nothing private about the trial work period ( other than working for a private employer, but it is the SSA that is still paying those benefits for the up to nine months while people try their hand at getting back in the workforce. The problem is because it is a rolling five year period most people do not think to keep up with well gee I worked three months here failed quit for three months, went back for four months quit for two months get to month three month on my next try and uh oh I owe the SSA money now because I was overpaid and then they keep working say for another four months by the time it is caught they owe the SSA say7.5k for five months of overpayment . Sometimes more if it goes for a couple of years like that. For eah month you are overpaid you owe the government that in overpayment. You can see how quickly that can add up if someone is not thinking to catch it

“It is done” - Two Endings

Where does the beginning and end of Revelation truly lie? Revelation 1:1 begins with the Revelation of Jesus Christ being made known to John, and the final words in Revelation 22 offer a hopeful blessing for the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ to be with everyone. However, an essential fact that we may overlook is that the actual conclusion of Revelation does not end with chapter 22. In Revelation, the conclusion of God’s Word is recorded in two different situations, found in chapters 16 and 21.

Revelation 16:17 - And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

Revelation 21:6 - And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

The conclusion in Revelation divides into two situations: the “completion” in chapter 16 and the “completion” in chapter 21. Through God’s two proclamations of “It is done,” we see that the record in Revelation 22, hoping for the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ to be with all, is not the genuine end of Revelation.

1. 'It is done' of Revelation 16

Revelation 16:7 - And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, LORD God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

Revelation 16:14 - For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Revelation 16:17 - And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

From the throne, God’s voice proclaims, “It is done.” This declaration signifies the conclusion of the prophecies in Revelation. If the conclusion of Revelation were to end with chapter 16, it would mean that the events John witnessed—such as the seven trumpets, seven plagues, and seven vials of wrath—would unfold precisely as decreed. Humanity would endure unavoidable judgments and calamities, and Christians would be divided based on their deeds, with some destined for the lake of fire and others not. Additionally, the kings of the earth would be gathered for the battle of Armageddon, inevitably drawn to it, regardless of their own will.

In this chapter, God is revealed as “[Lord] God Almighty.”

2. 'It is done' of Revelation 21

Revelation 21:1 - And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Revelation 21:2 - And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:3 - And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Revelation 21:5 - And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Revelation 21:6 - And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

If the completion of God's plan concludes in Revelation 21, then we experience the power of God resetting all things. This signifies that every event foreordained has passed away, leaving no trace, before His proclamation of “Behold, I make all things new.” Thus, the judgments and calamities previously recorded as inevitable also become events of the past.

The declaration “Behold, I make all things new” serves as evidence of this, and the conclusion is realized with God’s “tabernacle” dwelling with his people, as He resides among His people.

In this chapter, God is revealed as the “Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end."

3. The Choice Before Christians Amidst the Two Conclusions

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Many Christians generally believe that Jesus Christ will return at the end times riding on clouds. However, the one who comes with clouds, as mentioned in Revelation 1, embodies the attributes of “Lord God Almighty.” This hints that the scene where the Lord God Almighty comes with clouds culminates in the conclusion found in Revelation 16, where “It is done” is proclaimed. This connection is suggested by the identical description in chapter 16, matching the portrayal of the “LORD God Almighty” in chapter 1, which can be observed by comparing the two chapters.

Revelation 16:5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be**,** because thou hast judged thus.

Revelation 16:7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty*,* true and righteous are thy judgments.

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Revelation 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

The portrayal of the [Lord] God Almighty in chapter 1 aligns with the identical description in chapter 16, underscoring that the one coming with clouds is, indeed, the Almighty whose final judgment is declared complete in Revelation 16.

In this vision, where the attributes of the LORD God Almighty are revealed, the battle of Armageddon unfolds, and the calamities occur according to plan. Christians are judged based on their deeds, with the Almighty God, not Jesus, as the judge. By discerning how the LORD appears in these two conclusions, we gain crucial insights into the flow and significance of Revelation.

The conclusion in chapter 21 is entirely different from the one in chapter 16. Chapter 21 illustrates a completely renewed state, free from prior wars, judgments, and calamities. Here, only those gathered in God's new Jerusalem, set apart as His people within His tabernacle, are recorded as receiving salvation. The proclamation "It is done" marks the end.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Those not belonging to God, namely those not recognized as His people as mentioned in Psalm 68, are classified as unbelievers and receive the penalty of the second death. But why do they suffer the second death?

The reason is that, although God declared “Behold, I make all things new” and promised to dwell among His people, providing an opportunity to gather in the new Jerusalem, many chose not to believe and waited solely for the grace of Jesus Christ as they desired. In the conclusion of Revelation 21, salvation is accomplished without the application of the grace of Jesus Christ.

In the conclusion of Revelation 21, the attributes of God as Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, are revealed (Revelation 21:6). The grace of Jesus Christ applies to humanity only when the three attributes—Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last—are fully realized, as seen in Revelation 22 (Revelation 22:13).

The conclusion in Revelation 21 shows a scene in which, after making all things new, God reveals the true identity of Himself and His people, while those who do not believe are subject to the penalty of the second death, having missed their final opportunity for life. Here, the people of God are not Christians because the grace of Jesus Christ does not apply (Revelation 22:13), and “It is done” has been declared (Revelation 21:6). All former things have passed away. God’s people are limited to His inheritance, as stated in Psalm 68 (see previous discussion).

I am a woman called by God as New Jerusalem, also known as bride. I know who God and His people truly are. Those who do not belong to the God who has made all things new in the conclusion of Revelation—including Christians and all humanity—will face the second death in the lake of fire.

1John 5:1-21

I am concerned because you seem to be teaching against the doctrine of the Trinity and the Nicene Creed.

Even if that is not your intent, your post comes across as Nestorian and anti-Incarnational insofar as it repeatedly tried to make a distinction between Jesus Christ and God, when Jesus Christ is God Incarnate, according to John 1:1-18, hence his name Emanuel given in Isaiah. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, having put on our humanity without change, separation, confusion or division.

The Father, His Only Begotten Son and Word, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are one God, who abides in three coeternal and coequal persons, which is why we are to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit according to Matthew 28:19.
Jesus is God.
The doctrine of the Trinity and the Nicene Creed are denominational Doctrines. Im using scriptures straight out of the Bible. Not doctrines of men(denominationalism)

There is a need to be watchful

Jesus says watch and pray lest one enters temptation that He meant to keep them from denying christ and also I think applies to falling in lack of understanding that Jesus promises if one does He will provide way of escape that is strength and wisdom to overcome

Isaiah 49:31
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Spotlight: How one pro-life ballot measure defied the national trend

I was praising God when that odious amendment failed to pass. Both that and the marijuana amendments will likely come back next time. Florida's super majority constitutional requirement is good, changing a constitution should not be simple.

Isa 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me taught by the precept of men:

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.

Gen 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins and clothed them. Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man has become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever:

Two groups are here those that left their first love and individuals’ remaining.

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Heb 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

Rev 2:3 and hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake have labored, and hast not fainted. Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have something against you, because you have left your first love. Judas and Chief Priests Begin Denominationalism

Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still (Rom 3:13): and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still (Mark 7:6): and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still (Psa 2:12): and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

Mat 26:14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went (Isa 29:13) unto the chief priests, Mat 26:15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted (formal agreement) with him for thirty pieces of silver (John 12:6 Money Bag). Mat 26:16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him

Luk 22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. Luk 22:4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money (filthy lucre). Luk 22:6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray (Luke him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

And he that betrayed him had given them a token (Matt 24:51 Isa 33:14), saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss (unholy ), that same is he; take him22:47, 48), and lead him away safely. Mar 14:45 And as soon as he was come, he goes straightway to him, and says, Master, master; and kissed him. Mar 14:46 And they laid their hands on him, and took him.

Mat 16:19 And I will give unto you (Apostles) the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loose in heaven.

Act 3:14 But ye denied the Holy
One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; Act 3:15 And killed the Prince of life (2Chron 7:18), whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Spiritual Orbit

When I feel closest to God I am better able to surrender to God's will for me. Is it the closeness that enables this or is it the desire to surrender that brings me closer?
Good point/question..
---
Draw me close to You, never let me go
I lay it all down again
To hear You say that I'm Your friend
You are my desire, no one else will do
'Cause nothing else can take Your place
To feel the warmth of Your embrace
Help me find the way, bring me back to You...
