Do We?

An Original Work / March 20, 2018
Based off Job 38-42

When the things of this life
Do not go as planned,
Do we trust in our Lord?
Or trust then in man?

Are we tempted to fear
How things now will go?
Do we question our God
On things we should know?

Do we think that we know
Now better than God?
Were we there when He formed
The earth with its sod?

Did we fashion the seas
Inside our own hands?
Have we ordered the day;
The night we command?

Is our answer, instead,
Put hand over mouth?
Do we humble ourselves,
Refuse to be proud?

Do we see that our God,
Has made all these things?
And, that truly we do
Lack understanding?

Do we trust that He plans
What truly is best?
Of our sins, now repent
In dust and ashes?

Do we recognize now
That God truly knows
What He’s doing with us?
His love He bestows?

For, our God has a plan
For each of our lives.
So, with God’s perfect plan,
Then, we should not strive.

Trust our lives in His care,
Our sins we’ll defeat.
Follow Him where He leads.
Our needs He will meet.

Was Abraham Reprehensible for Pretending that Sarah was His Sister?

Well, we live in a fallen world, so all Biblical figures, except for Jesus (and maybe Mary) have sin.
Jesus did not have much patience with Mary. When He was 12 years old He asked her: "Didn't you know"? "“Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” Luke 2:49. Then there was the situation with the wine at the wedding. "O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come”. John 2:4 "“Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”"

Even people think Jesus calling her "women" was disrespectful. Eve was the FIRST women and Mary was a daughter of Eve. So she was very much a "women" and not just a female. Genesis 2:23 b "she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”

SWAT arrests armed woman after she barricades herself inside Seattle FBI building

What was her message?

None of the court documents say, so it's likely not public.

She might have mental health issues, she couldn't figure out how to send correspondence to the FBI so she decided to get arrested.

Sounds like mental health. They only charged her with a misdemeanor...

Why some people are willing to believe conspiracy theories

Just look at the people who ACTUALLY believe the earth is flat or that the moon gives out its very own self generated light!!!!! Unbelievably gullible and naive to say the least!
Well after talking to several physicians and doing some reading myself. It seems to boil down to fear among other things. Christians seem to need it to validate their interpretation of Scripture. Others need it for various reasons. I’m sure you heard about that poor man who lit himself on fire recently. Big conspiracy believer. It certainly did no favors for his mental health. That was just tragic. :(

Pray for the children still being held hostage by Hamas, with the youngest about one year and four years.

Heavenly Father, we pray You will be with and protect the children being held hostage by Hamas and deliver them from all evil. We pray also that You will do the same for the rest of the hostages, and protect Israel as a whole, leading them closer to You. Above all, may Your Will be done, in the Name of Jesus. Amen and Amen.

Gov. Stitt signs bill into law giving ‘immunity’ to poultry companies polluting Oklahoma waterways

Senate Bill 1424 says if companies or farmers are following state laws then they can’t be sued, even if their actions caused harm.

The proposal states if chicken companies or farmers follow a nutrient management plan, they’ll be protected from any criminal or civil accountability.

U.S. District Judge Gregory Frizzell in Tulsa ruled in 2023 [some 18 years after the lawsuit was filed] that Arkansas-based Tyson Foods, Minnesota-based Cargill Inc. and other companies polluted the Illinois River, caused a public nuisance and trespassed by spreading the litter, or manure, on land in eastern Oklahoma, and that it then leached into the river’s watershed.

[Governor Stitt wants no part of any nonsense like that.]

“You can’t have a business have a permit, doing what they’re supposed to do and then come in and let a frivolous lawsuit take place and somehow put them out of business. That’s un-American. It’s not going to happen in Oklahoma,” said Governor Stitt Friday morning.

“We are deeply disappointed by [Thursday’s] vote and the fact that this critical issue was rushed through on the final day of the session,” said Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr.
Apparently, Governor Stitt is a Christian*, of the cafeteria variety. He might want to read the Bible again, cos the Bible clearly warns us to take care of the Earth, and not defile the land. Well hey, Cafeteria Christianity is a thing, where folks ignore parts of the Bible to do their own thing.

*Governor Stitt's religion: Stitt thanked his father for 'pouring into me.' What did he mean?

Bible on taking care of the Earth:

Genesis 2:15: "The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."

Isaiah 24:4-6: "The earth dries up and withers, the world languishes and withers, the heavens languish with the earth. The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left."

Jeremiah 2:7: "I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable."

Virginia school board votes to restore Confederate names to two schools

Doesnt matter how it looks to you. Thats your response. And youre probably inclined to see it in a poor light. Nor does success matter.

What matters is intent. Intent to signal something laudatory about yourself. Thats where the mind reading comes in.

I know this because I think naming schools after these confederates is a bad idea. And I know I dont care if you think Im virtuous.
You may also be virtue signaling if you think it is a bad idea because the original names promoted racism.

Democrats - How does Biden win?

It may very well be devastating for all Americans should Donald somehow get reelected. This is our concern.
Biden is even worse though. He would have been more capable some twenty years ago, but is seriously lacking now. Seems to me the democrats are afraid to use the 25th Amendment. Hard to know if Trump will be devastating. We did OK in his first term. He has good instincts on trade and parts of immigration. The latest idea floating is to do away with income tax and put it all on tariffs. Now that would be a disaster.

What Man Lost, Jesus Restored, In Person

3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
Mankind In Need of The Light of Truth

Job 3:20-23 Why is light given to him who is in misery, and life to the bitter soul, who longs for death,
but it does not come, and searches for it more than hidden treasures? Who rejoice exceedingly,
and are glad when they can find the grave? Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden,
and whom God has hedged in?

The Son of God lifts us up from the dark pit of despair

John 8:12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world;
the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness,
but will have the Light of life.

All things spoken of Him by the Anointed Psalmist were fulfilled
in the Son of man, Jesus of Nazareth.

Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 36:9 For with You is the fountain of life. In Your light we see light.

Death has been defeated; our Savior brings us back from the pit!

2 Timothy 1:8-10 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord
or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel
according to the power of God, Who saved us and called us
with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according
to His own purpose and grace, which was granted to us in Christ Jesus
from all eternity, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our

Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and
immortality to light through the Gospel.

Job 33:30
To bring back his soul from the Pit, that
he may be enlightened with the light of life.

The righteous requirements of the Law are fulfilled in those who accept His discipline

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light.

Reproofs of instruction are the way of life.

We have SEEN his glory but no one has ever SEEN God

John 1:

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Sond from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Strong's Greek: 2300. θεάομαι (theaomai) — 23 Occurrences

BDAG θεάομαι:
① to have an intent look at someth., to take someth. in with one’s eyes, with implication that one is esp. impressed, see, look at, behold
③ to perceive someth. above and beyond what is merely seen with the eye

15(John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.e 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18No one has ever seen God; the only God,f who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.
Strong's Greek: 3708. ὁράω (horaó) — 684 Occurrences

BDAG ὁράω:
① to perceive by the eye, catch sight of, notice

We have G2300-perceived his glory, but no one has ever G3708-seen God with his physical eyes.

Further, 1 John 4:

12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
We could G2300-perceived God's glory but no has ever G2300-seen God himself.

13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
By his Spirit, we have G2300-perceived that the Father has sent his Son.

20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen
i.e., G3708-seen with the physical eyes

cannot love God whom he has not seen [G3708].
We have not G3708-seen God with our physical eyes, and we have not even G2300-perceived God himself either. We could G2300-perceived God's glory (a manifestation) and we have G2300-perceived that the Father has sent his Son (a manifestation).

Less than 30% approve of Joe's handling on immigration

Only 29% of Americans said they approve of the president’s handling of immigration, according to an Economist/YouGov poll released Wednesday. Conversely, more than 60% of respondents said they disapproved of his handling of the issue, and among those, 47% said they strongly disapproved.
Immigration was the second “most important” issue, losing out only to inflation but ranking above other topics including jobs and the economy, health care, climate change and taxes, according to the poll. Only 28% percent of respondents said immigration makes the country “better off,” compared to 38% who said it makes the U.S. “worse off.”
It's illegal immigration that many people are not in agreement with. Our countries laws were put into effect to better equip people to assimilate into American culture ... it is a slow process ... but that also helps our country to not have a "shock" to our economy (such as we see) .... slower is better with the influx of people coming into America being gradual.
