Yes. Like someone I was with on a business trip who insisted on eating at a Texas Roadhouse (tm) because it had a sawdust floor, parched peanuts on the table, and you could throw the hulls on the floor. The steak was descent, best I recall.

You could sometimes find interesting things in Cracker Barrel decorations. In a Cracker Barrel between Chattanooga and Atlanta, there were huge wooden shapes mounted to the walls. They turned out to be the wooden forms used to make sand casting molds for cast iron stoves once made in a nearby town.

Have you seen the new logo? When I first saw it, I wondered if they'd been bought out by Denny's.

Frankly, the new logo stinks. That's not a conservative thing; that's not a liberal thing. It just stinks. They altered the font just enough to look like it could have come with Windows and chose a design that leaves a lot of blank space. What are they saying with that? "Come to Cracker Barrel. There's plenty of room now that we've driven our customers away?"

What's worse, they had a better logo staring them right in the face. Take the original, logo, remove the man in the rocking chair and the barrel, and presto! It's distinctive, makes a better use of space, and conveys the message "We're still Cracker Barrel."

Well, it's them and their business. What's left of it.

This, and their change in décor, isn't woke. It's another example of management that doesn't have a clue. Trying to jump on the "woke" bandwagon initially cost them customers. Trying to revamp the restaurant thinking that will bring them back is a failure to deal with what went wrong in the first place. The most profitable action would have been to quietly ditch the few token woke gestures and say nothing more about it. Instead, they're driving way customers who shrugged about "woke" or didn't know it was ongoing.

Slick move, guys. Note that they seem to be doubling down on the changes.

Oh, well. No one's required to eat at Cracker Barrel. Hate to see it go under, but it's their problem, not mine.

John had something to say about, "the lie."

1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

What is the fourth commandment again? The Sabbath commandment.

According to Jesus, the Sabbath is still binding for man.

Mark 2:27-28 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

According to Jesus, the Sabbath is still being observed at the end of time.

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Jesus concerning all the law and the prophets.

Jesus, in His Revelation concerning the commandments of God, which includes the Sabbath commandment.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The disciples kept the Sabbath post-crucifixion (see Acts). If it had been "put to bed" as you say, Paul would not have kept the Sabbath, "as his manner was," and taught others. Peter was also among them.

Acts 17:2-3 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

Colossians 2:16 context is clearly seen when you look at verses 14 and 17, and Hebrews 10, and this has been shown many times over on this forum website.

What does the Catholic Church have to say about the Sabbath (before it goes on to venerate Sunday)?

Catholic Catechism:

2168 The third commandment of the Decalogue recalls the holiness of the sabbath: "The seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the LORD."92

2169 In speaking of the sabbath Scripture recalls creation: "For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it."93

Conclusion

The Sabbath was not, "put to bed," by Jesus, nor the apostles. The Sabbath was made for man. Jesus is still Lord of the Sabbath. Paul, the very apostle you credit with this very act (of putting the Sabbath to bed) kept the Sabbath. How then can his words be misunderstood concerning the Sabbath? They can't.

The Day of the Lord’s fiery wrath, as the Son of Man, is the sudden, shocking and unexpected Day, a world changer, which will set the stage for the establishment of a One World Govt. Daniel 7:23-27, Revelation 13:1-8

The faithful Christian peoples, will pass safely through this literal Day of worldwide disaster. We are told what to do: Call upon the Name of the Lord and you will be saved. Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21, Romans 10:13

The Day of the Lord’s glorious Return; As the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Much has to happen before we get to Revelation 19:11-13, where Jesus is described as coming in garments already splashed in blood. Got from His previous Day of vengeance and wrath. Isaiah 63:1-6 and Revelation 14:17-20

It will NOT be unexpected; heralded by God and the angels and NOT a surprise, as He will Return exactly 1260 days, [42 months] after Satan desecrates the Temple. Daniel 9:27b, Revelation 13:5
Jesus destroys the attacking armies at Armageddon by the Sword of His Word and chains up Satan. He just separates the nations at this time. Matthew 25:31-33

Jesus then commences His thousand year earthly reign, on David’s Throne, in the new Temple in Jerusalem. As Isaiah 65:18-25, Zechariah 14:16-21 describe.

Conclusion: 1 Thess 4:16 and 1 Thess 5:1-3 are about 2 separate Days, several years apart. Paul; like the other Prophets, doesn’t put them into their correct sequence.

The final Judgment happens after the Millennium. Matthew 25:46, Revelation 20:11-15 Then comes Eternity

I dont think it really matters. Trump campaigned on it and the country supported it. I believe it was because as far left liberals were cheering all the legal battles, generating the Russian Collusion hoax, and waving Trump's convictions like a victory banner, the majority of the American people knew things were not right. People are avoiding the DNC more than ever because of these schemes. Falling DNC approval and voter registration numbers say it all.

They need to be voted out just like we voted out the liberal minded school board members in alot of the counties here in Florida.

Note that the more common 9nn is close to .35, and the venerable .45 is a little larger than a 10 mm. The 9mm, .38 Special, 10mm, and .45 are all bigger than the 5.7. A check has a good average weight for the 5.7 bullet at 40gr. A 9mm weighs in at 124gr; a .38 Special about 130gr; a 10mm about 180gr; and a .45 at about 230gr. The 5.7 is the smallest and lightest of the bunch, which makes the comment about larger and heavier bullets ironic.

Kinetic energy, though is 0.5 x mass x velocity^2, so the faster you push it, the more energy it has. The 5.7 still doesn’t seem all that impressive. One cartridge I looked at has a muzzle energy of 288 ft lbs. A 9mm I looked at has 333 ft lbs muzzle energy; .38 Special about 245 ft lbs; 10mm about 529 ft lbs; and the .45 about 676 ft lbs. Only the .38 Special comes up with less muzzle energy. It’s a tapered bullet, which improved aerodynamics, but that’s less of an issue with pistols.

A quick check shows that rifles seem to the thing of the moment. Believe it or not, the .38 Special may be popular among some of the cartel. Another that comes up is the .22.

Honestly, the way such things work depends on the available ammo. My guess is that this will be the 9mm, which has become popular.

Since Newsweek isn’t a firearms magazine and firearm specifics isn’t something they deal with on a regular basis, them labeling the round a “cop killer” means very little. My guess is they referred to a coated round that would go through Kevlar ™ According to Wikipedia, the civilian 5.7 x 28 round isn’t armor piercing.

Like the .223, the 5.7 x 28 has a tendency to tumble, which can cause more damage. OTOH, I once found a .54 Minie ball that had keyholed (hit sideways) something. That meant that bullet had tumbled.

All these particulars mean exactly nothing. Why? Because arms are strictly controlled on military bases. Unless you’re required to have one at that moment, you don’t carry one. If you have a person weapon, you’re required to keep it secure. I think this is a central location on base, but not sure on that point. The issue is that not once, but twice, the shooter managed to bring their own weapon onto a military base, and not once, but twice, a shooter put it to use. It doesn’t matter if it’s a 5.7 x 28 or a .44 Magnum loaded with rounds from Buffalo Bore. The problem is that they had any unauthorized weapon on base.
