Enforced veiling at the threat of death is just one of many violations of women in these extremist nations. They don't hold democratic elections, they descriminate and murder their own people and impose the same extreme ideology on their own people.

Like the civil war in Yemen where civilians are targeted and children are forced to fight with guns to kill their own people. The Houthis are backed by Iran and it seems that the extremist nations have regimes backed by Iran.

It is these regimes and extremists I am talking about and not the Muslims as a whole. If the same thing was happening in a western nation that was denying minorities, forcing women to conform or be killed and making their children fight wars it would not be tolerated and condemned.

Why is Isreal singled out and seemingly made to be the bad guy while these extreme regimes like Hamas and the Houthis who have been systemactically wiping out not on;y Jews and Christians but there own people and not one of the social justice warriors has said boo about whats happening.

But suddeny the same radicals attack Isreal and Ireal defends itself and all hell breaks loose in condemning Isreal and not the radicals. Seems a bit inconsistent to me. All this by Christians voting for ungodly presidents that appoint liberal Justices, ungodly Senators, Congressmen, and local officials.

America's Christian heritage and moral values is in shambles because the majority voting block of Christians have NOT had their church pastors guiding them adequately in social culture and political affairs. So yes, I think we need a lot more of that, not less.

Pastors should base their sermons and teachings on biblical truth, addressing current issues Christians face—such as abortion, homosexuality, loving one's neighbor, and other daily challenges—by sharing what the Bible says about each topic.

We can show love and serve as examples by living a Christian life, guiding others to Christ, and helping or supporting our neighbors.

The New Testament does not teach that expressing love for others requires electing or supporting a government. Such interpretations do not align with the principles found in New Testament teachings.

The New Testament and the teachings of Jesus do not advocate for government involvement in defending or promoting Christianity. Jesus Christ alone is responsible for its defense. A common misconception among some American Christians is that governmental authority or legislation can transform America or the world into a more Christian society. However Biblical truth is, lasting change occurs through prayer, sharing the gospel, and exemplifying a Christian lifestyle. No earthly government has the capacity to fundamentally change the world or improve conditions specifically for Christians.

The passive nature of Christianity was exemplified on the cross, ultimately resulting in victory over death.

Paul's main intent in this chapter is about edifying the church and which is the better gift to do so.

For example if someone walked into church and spoke in an unknown language to the rest the only thing he could do is edify himself. Edify means to build up and we are talking about things that would rather build up the church.

This verse

I Corinthians 14:14 "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful."

If you pray in an unknown tongue that you yourself don't understand - it would be unfruitful -barren. So there would be no "edifying/building of yourself.

I Corinthians 14:15 "What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also."

When we pray in the spirit we also pray with understanding.

In the Greek edify-

building, edification
Feminine (abstract) of a compound of oikos and the base of doma; architecture, i.e. (concretely) a structure; figuratively, confirmation -- building, edify(-ication, -ing).

If one's understanding is empty/barren there would be no building or structure given. So when we pray in the spirit we should pray in with understanding as well. I believe that's Paul's point, Yes, God would understand but we need the edification, the building, the structure. Which is what Paul is talking about within the church. He's just making a point in some of these verses about what's more important, etc.

I know other's believe and see it differently but that's how I see Paul's teaching in this chapter.

Seems to me if you are called, you are equipped but it is not always not that easy.

I know one such pastor that was fed up with his church, the people were so backbiting his family and others it was tough to deal with. In his case, and possible others, they simply were at the wrong place or ministry. This pastor I know left his church and became a well known author and speaker at different churches/conferences. Sometimes it is God's way of moving the right pieces around. For others though maybe it was wrong they were in the position to begin with, or even worse, they failed God in some way that he is removing them.
