This is a relatively recent development that coincides with one of our politics parties deciding that truth in general is inconvenient and that the concept of "alternative facts" is actually a real thing rather than satire. Generally speaking, scientific assessments don't change significantly unless there is a massive shift in scientific understanding.

Nobody has said that his name in the files is proof that he did anything wrong. What is being discussed is that some people are saying, incredibly, that his name doesn't appear at all. There surely couldn't be any doubt in anyone's mind that if the name of someone who was so involved socially with Epstein for so many years didn't appear in the files then that would most definitely be cause for concern and would need further investigation.

It has crossed my mind that Trump, or those close to him, have removed his name from the files to save him from some embarrassing but not necessarily illegal conduct. And if that is found to be the case, then Pandora's box will have been flung wide open.

For the most well-known one (Anas al-Sharif) I think the IDF has published sufficient evidence he was an active Hamas operative; personally I've seen his X-statement from 2023 where he celebrated the killings of October 7th. Their Al-Jazeera job was part of their Hamas propaganda. I would argue this seems a perfectly justifiable attack with precision ammunition to take out an enemy.

The bible says all creation is longing to be restored to Gods Kingdom. It seems the Fall in seperating creation and humankind from God is a sort of suffering or a thorn in our side that can only be alleviated by Christ.

I have read about philosophers and even psychologists like Peterson for example talk about the human condition as one of suffering as a default state. That life is a constant battle to overcome that disposition and that sacrifice is the key to achieving something beyond that surrfering. Almost like suffering in sacrifice brings freedom from the disposition of suffering.

This is where I think Christ comes in and became the way out of that suffering disposition caused by the fall. Living in the spirit as opposed to the flesh. Though the flesh is still a part of us until Christs return. It is this duel state we exist in that is in constant battle for our hearts and minds.
