Congress isn't making it into a national holiday. As long as it isn't made into a national holiday, that's a fair point.

Rob is mistaken.Rob I find genuine but an astronaut who has supposedly walked on the moon, no.
Nonsense-So the space industry deception was created, so college graduates in science will have a nice paying governmnet job upon their graduation.
And here is what all those that PLACE a big emphasis. HOW many were saved at Pentecost. an measly 3000. as ISRAEL.Well known
Notice the emphasis on they were all - Look just a could verses back (remembering the Scripture was not written in chapter and verse.
Notice - the eleven were address, but there were others in the room that made up the 'them all' - Mary, the mother of Jesus, with His brothers and 120 people in total.
Did you catch it?
How many were filled with the Holy Spirit? Them all!

Huh? The elite could have that land if they wanted it. Like, right now. As a business and as a lifestyle, farming sucks. The pay sucks. The hours suck. Nobody wants to take over the businesses, so they're effectively worthless to anybody but the current owners. The only people making money are the guys with very large operations, which may be sustainable financially, but still have the proprietors living isolated in the middle of nowhere. So, best case scenario, you're alone with your fancy pickup. There are probably thousands, maybe tens of thousands of farmers who'd gladly sell out right now if they could. My dad's in the process of parceling out his property as I type this; the only prospective buyers he has are Amish who've been priced out of Lancaster. For a lot of people, the prospect of something like gas fracking or solar farms looks like a huge windfall, because big corporations pay way more per acre for those sorts of leases than their regular crops would ever yield.Yes, but if it went into the hands of a certain elite, they could run the crops more like a cartel, or just depend on the government for their subsidies. Either way they win, the rest lose. While this example might be wrong, this is what is wrong with contemporary America. Too much wealth in the hands of a few. I think God is going to correct that though. The USA is currently at the same level of inequality as occurred in 1929 before the crash.
Those in the grave cannot speak nor hear anything.Tell that to the folks who perished in the Flood, not to mention the billions of humans who spend eternity burning in the Lake of Fire.
The felonies were for falsifying records to influence the election, hiding payments to Stormy Daniels as payments to Micheal Cohen for legal fees. He falsified invoices, checks and ledger entries and the felonies were for each time he did so, 11-12 times each category. You're mixing things up a bit. The "34 felonies" (really should have been one felony but they used creative methods to bump it up to 34, likely to make it look like a bigger accomplishment) wasn't the financial documents case, and it wasn't brought by Letetia James. The "34 felonies" were about violations of the Federal Election Campaign Act regarding Trump allegedly paying off Stormy Daniels to avoid hurting his election campaign back in 2016, and it was brought by Alvin Bragg.
That case had serious issues with it, as explained here (or if someone is going to complain it's from a conservative (Andrew McCarthy), see a similar but more neutral examination by Vox--not a source favorable to Trump!--here), but Bragg benefited from who appears to have been a biased judge (Merchen) and--it should be noted--Trump himself. (Regrettably, both articles are behind paywalls now--the Vox one wasn't before--though the first one at least can be read without subscription if you haven't read two other articles this month) Despite exorciating Merchen as biased and aiding Bragg, Andrew McCarthy still says "Team Trump has presented one of the most ill-conceived, self-destructive defenses I have ever seen in decades of trying and analyzing criminal cases." The issue, as explained in the articles, is that Trump opted not to use a number of defenses that likely would have helped him in the trial, but probably would have hurt him politically. I'm not quite as familiar with the Letetia James case against him but that one looks to be questionable also, and if nothing else the actual fine given to Trump was absolutely outrageous.
Now, I'm not "MAGA", so perhaps I don't count towards what you're saying, but from my understanding of the cases, my opinion is that the prosecutions by James and Bragg were blatant lawfare, and ironically probably helped Trump win re-election because (1) the various problems with them would have engendered sympathy for Trump as victim of lawfare, and (2) due to that perception, the other cases against Trump that didn't make it to court would get mentally lumped in with those lawfare cases even though they were much more credible. However, it also looks to me like the case against James--and Comey--are also lawfare, at least based on what we the public know, and probably of even lower validity than the cases against Trump. McCarthy, who again was harshly critical of Bragg above, has also written a bunch on how little sense the Comey indictment makes by the information we currently know. I'm not as familiar with the case against Latetia James, but that one looks questionable to me also. It could be that they do have some amazing evidence against them, but based on various signs (e.g. a Trump loyalist who's never prosecuted a case before is apparently in charge of these) they look to be weak cases based on vengeful prosecution.
No. Obviously not. It is directly sinful to not obey Jesus.
A Sabbath (shabbat) is a rest. A Feast ( Moed) is a poor translation of Moed. There is not a single English word to translate the Hebrew word Moed. I takes two words, Appointment, and Rehearsal. On the days that Yah has appointments with us, we are to rehearse his plan for his creation.1. What kind of “sabbaths” is Paul talking about?
Let’s break the phrase down:
This phrase appears in many places in the Old Testament, often in this same order, and always refers to ceremonial observances:
- 1 Chronicles 23:31
- 2 Chronicles 2:4
- 2 Chronicles 31:3
- Nehemiah 10:33
- Ezekiel 45:17
- Hosea 2:11
These texts link festivals, new moons, and sabbaths as ceremonial observances — part of the Mosaic (Levitical) system, not the weekly seventh-day Sabbath of the Ten Commandments.
My point would be there is an unreasonable jump from any evidence to a Macro evolution conclusionNo, let's first deal with the claim you made: "Macro Evolution is not something we discovered...we made it up - and then looked for evidence to support it." That's a positive claim, and for you to make it implies that you're familiar with possible evidence for macroevolution and have reasons to reject it. Are you? What was your grounds for making that statement?
That doesn't make any sense. Killing farms en masse just to build datacenters is like using a sledgehammer to swat at mosquitoes. The average data center is roughly the size of a WalMart, which is about a couple acres for the building and maybe another 10-20 for the parking lot. Relative to even modest farms, that's nothing. They want it for data centers. See the links below.
ACCELERATING FEDERAL PERMITTING OF DATA CENTER INFRASTRUCTURE
These plans include artificial intelligence (AI) data centers and infrastructure that powers them, including high‑voltage transmission lines and other equipment. It will be a priority of my Administration to facilitate the rapid and efficient buildout of this infrastructure by easing Federal regulatory burdens.
In addition, my Administration will utilize federally owned land and resources for the expeditious and orderly development of data centers. This usage will be done in a manner consistent with the land’s intended purpose — to be used in service of the prosperity and security of the American people.
………
A Growing Demand for Land: Site Selection for Data Centers
As data centers become the backbone of the digital economy, the decision of where to build them has never been more critical. Rental rates for data centers are projected to increase by 14.5% year over year, according to CBRE, reflecting the growing demand for strategically located land that can support these complex facilities.
Traditionally, data centers have been built on sprawling rural land to minimize costs. Land in rural areas is cheaper, and power is often more available. However, as data center operators seek to move closer to urban hubs, they face higher real estate costs and new logistical challenges.
In contrast, many large-scale data centers are still going up in less densely populated areas like Virginia’s CTZ, where zoning has been proactively designed to address community concerns before development starts. This kind of forward-thinking zoning allows developers to avoid the opposition often seen in more populated areas.
…….
Thirsty for power and water, AI-crunching data centers sprout across the West
With promises of jobs and hopes for tax breaks, server farms are reshaping local grids, plumbing, and politics. Are they a boon for communities, or a burden?
Data centers are remaking local communities and economies around the country, most dramatically in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C., but also around the West. These centers, the beating hearts of the internet, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, sprawl over tens or hundreds of thousands of square feet.
This onrushing electronic future means that areas of the West seeking to accumulate data centers need more and more electricity. The growth of artificial intelligence, which uses larger and more complex chips needing far more power, only accelerates the power demand. More transmission lines are needed to get the power to the centers. The share of states’ and communities’ energy consumed by data centers has grown dramatically: In Arizona, they use 7.4 percent of the state’s power, in Oregon 11.4 percent, according to Visual Capitalist.
It’s not just electricity that is needed by these centers, which are now growing to brobdingnagian sizes to accommodate AI’s computing demands. They need significant amounts of water to keep cool, and new ones will need more. The new computer chips that are designed to produce artificial intelligence, like Nvidia’s Blackwell chip, use far more electricity and therefore need more cooling than the older generation of chips. Nvidia is based in Santa Clara.
Red Canary magazine recently reported that the water demand of nearly 60 centers in Phoenix is about 177 million gallons a day – significant, but a fraction of the water used in local agriculture.
All told, the centers are reshaping local grids, plumbing, and politics.

As I said. Bern there, done that. Read it all. I don’t do anti RCC propaganda as you should not do pro RCC propaganda.Seriously, you’ve immersed yourself into the catechisms, the councils, the theologians, the source materials, and not mainly the anti-Catholic propaganda?
Yes. God uses the holy spirit to accomplish his will, which is clearly stated at 1 Timothy 2:3, 4Here is a quick study on the Holy Spirit. Many who read this will hopefully see that one of the main reasons, if not the main reason, we were given the HS was so that we would speak. This is well worth the read.
In Acts, whenever people received the Holy Spirit, their mouths were opened. At Pentecost, ‘they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak. This even happened in the very first instance when the Holy Spirit first came down. (Acts 2:4). Later, ‘when they had prayed, the place was shaken…and they spoke the word of God with boldness’ (Acts 4:31). In Cornelius’ house, ‘the Holy Spirit fell on all those who heard the word…for they heard them speaking in tongues and magnifying God’ (Acts 10:44–46). Again and again, the Spirit fills, and people speak.
And in John 14:16 it says “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;”(KJV). In this verse, the Spirit is called the “Comforter”. But in 1611, when the King James bible was written, the word ‘comfort’ did not mean to soothe but to strengthen, to urge on. In a famous tapestry from 1070AD, it shows Bishop Odo with a staff, urging his men into battle. The Latin says ‘confortat pueros’, meaning, he strengthens the boys, prodding them into action. That’s what the Spirit does in us. He strengthens us, empowers us, and pushes us into the battle.
“Expel the wicked person from among you.” (St Paul)
Acts 1:8 connects directly to the role of the Holy Spirit as the Comforter/prodder by showing that His work is not about inner peace but about empowerment for mission:
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
The word “power” in Greek is “dynamis”, meaning strength, force, ability.
So when we receive the Holy Spirit, we will witness to others of Him. We will have a power within us that pushes/prods us and strengthens us for the battle. When He fills us, silence is no longer natural; witnessing becomes the overflow.
Many times, in the New Testament, people received the Holy Spirit, and they opened their mouths. And some who received the Spirit spoke so clearly that people from other nations understood them in their own language (Acts 2:1-13).
Verses where people received the Holy Spirit and they spoke:
Matthew 10:19–20
Mark 13:11
Luke 1:41–42
Luke 1:67
Luke 2:25–32
Luke 12:11–12
Luke 21:14–15
Acts 1:8
Acts 2:4
Acts 2:14–18
Acts 4:8
Acts 4:31
Acts 6:10
Acts 7:55–56
Acts 8:29–35
Acts 9:17–20
Acts 10:19–20
Acts 10:44–46
Acts 11:12
Acts 11:15
Acts 13:9–10
Acts 13:52
Acts 19:6
Acts 21:9
Acts 21:10–11
Romans 8:14
Romans 10:14–15
2 Corinthians 5:17–20
Ephesians 6:18–20
1 Corinthians 12:7–10
1 Corinthians 14:1–5
1 Corinthians 14:26–33
1 Peter 3:15
Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:6, 13, 22
NOTE: You will also notice that some verses say something along the lines of "And they received the Holy Spirit, and they prophesied". Now, God does give some people a direct revelation to pass on to others, but many of the cases in the New Testament where it talks about prophesying, I believe that it is actually talking about going and sharing the Good News. These people are giving a testimony of Jesus. A testimony about what He did and His future judgment (future being prophecy). That He lived and He died, He rose again and paid the price for our sins, and that one day He will judge the world in righteousness. Revelation 19:10 even says that when we give a testimony of Jesus, telling the Good News, we are prophesying or walking in the heart of prophecy.
Revelation 19:10 "For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
Repent of your sin.
“Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ” Acts 2:38.
In this verse, it says to receive the Holy Spirit, the very first step we need to do is, repent. That is to change from our unbelief to belief and so change from living sinfully to a way where we are honouring God.
We also have this verse that says the same thing: “We are witnesses... and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” Acts 5:32
What you are saying is that all of God's people are called to preach the Gospel, and I agree that is what the scriptures reveal.End Note: I do not believe that everyone is called to be a street preacher. But I do believe that everyone is called to preach the Gospel to as many people as they can. Whether that is in the workplace, schools or in your own friendship group. We are all called to share, and we should have a prodding desire to share.
The study is not properly completed as I am heading away. But the contents should interest and challenge many.
President Trump's track record demonstrates that he is a peace maker. Why can you not admit that? What is showing is that i learn from experience and have seen his track record.
Ignoring the violent and aggressive stuff and just focusing on the non-violent stuff is not a good tactic. I expect better from you.Not that it will do them any good. Protesters in Oregon are taunting ICE agents with donuts and are dressing up in inflatable frog suits and Trump wants to call out the army to stop them.
You sound like a kid who is trying to explain to their Mum how the cookie jar is empty.May be he has too by the signing of a wavier or a NDA form by NASA.
Yes, but if it went into the hands of a certain elite, they could run the crops more like a cartel, or just depend on the government for their subsidies. Either way they win, the rest lose. While this example might be wrong, this is what is wrong with contemporary America. Too much wealth in the hands of a few. I think God is going to correct that though. The USA is currently at the same level of inequality as occurred in 1929 before the crash.Farm land is already dirt cheap. Even the people who own the land outright have a tough go of making it profitable.
Thats not happening.deporting people with no due process
Thats not happening either.- detaining citizens based on their appearance
Thats happening legally and it has been legal since the installment of immigration law.snatching students off our streets by masked agents
Thats free speech as much as calling Republicans Nazis and racists is. I actually don't recall the government calling the democratic party a terrorist organization. When did that happen?calling the democratic party, and now No King's protesters, terrorists....
Thanks for sharing. The word of faith movement leaves quite a few people in a rut likely because some teach it so poorly. The problem is that so many try to manufacture faith with their mind. But the reality is that faith has to come from God. Too many assume they have faith but in reality they just are hoping. When you have faith though, you know you have what you believed for. When you went to the hospital, were you healed? I pray so as God does use doctors, if so is it any less faith? Many debate what God will or will not do for someone, we must remember that Paul prayed and heard from God three times about the thorn in the flesh. To me the default position is to expect God to do something, when, and how is up to Him. However, if he says no after much persistence, then we should hear about it, and even have some understanding of the why. We should never condemn or condescend to anyone that is suffering or has a need. I am glad you are responding to those in need, praying and obtaining the results that God gives. God blessWhat does born again mean? Born again means that we have received the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes when we accept Jesus into our lives. Jesus offers us forgiveness of our sins, not based upon our righteousness, we don’t work to receive the Spirit, and we don’t work to keep the Spirit, but we must resolve to repent, to leave behind our sins and the dark areas of our life.
Accepting Jesus brings with it much blessing. But we have to be careful how we present the idea of being born again, and the blessing that we receive, that it does not become a ticket for instant, or assured blessing. There are certain things we can believe God for, but equally there are things that we need to allow for God’s will.
As an example, although Jesus said things like:
Mark 11:23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
A person may have a business, and claim that word over their business that they will make a great profit, and there is nothing wrong with claiming such a thing. With the following understanding:
James 4:13-16 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that." But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.
There is a fine line between claiming Jesus promises, and boasting. We still need to allow for God’s will in all of our prayers. Although we can pray for our needs to be met, as an example, we can’t just pray prayers, for our own pleasures.
James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
Also in the area of praying for those who are sick; Jesus would have us pray for the sick, but we can’t demand that God use us. Firstly we must be proved faithful.
1Co 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.
If we are not able or willing to present the word of God faithfully, we will not be able to perform a sign.
Mark 9:39 But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me.
This does not mean that if we don’t see healing “immediately” that we are unfaithful? Not at all. It is just a fact that “claiming” a promise does not mean that in all cases we will have it.
God actually assigns the gifts based upon the faithfulness and faith of the messenger.
1Co 12:28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
Note Paul gives an order “first”, “second”, “third” etc. This shows there is a level of trust God gives people. He goes on to say not everyone is a miracle worker, an apostle etc.
1Co 12:29-30 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
He finishes by saying “earnestly desire” the best gifts.
1Co 12:31 But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
1Jn 5:14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
However we should have great faith, and this is where verses like:
Mark 11:23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
If we or someone else have a heath issue, financial difficulty, emotional issue; we can stand on the word of God, that He will answer us, to bring healing or provision. In many cases God will answer us because of our faith. But again we have seen we can’t demand, but we certainly should not quickly surrender. For God respects faithful, persistence, and faith.
Mathew 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
I have heard it preached, that when we receive the Holy Spirit, are born again, we not only become a spiritual new creation, but we receive assured success, in healing, finances, emotions, as a part of the born gain experience. But we can not equate being born again with perfect success.
God certainly does not want us depressed, oppressed, or troubled. And we can stand on His word for personal healing. But we have to acknowledge that there are times when God’s will appears to be to allow us to walk through valleys, where things are not always perfect.
James 1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
If everything was always perfect, we could not be refined with spiritual patience. Some time character is more important to God than our comfort.
The bible says that all scripture is God breathed. The scripture tells us that one of the greatest prophets in the Bible died from a sickness. This shows us that being full of God’s power, and having the Spirit does not always mean we are guaranteed perfect prosperity.
2Ki 13:14 Elisha had become sick with the illness of which he would die.
I think it is dangerous not to look at the whole of scripture; my mother as an example, tried in “faith” to go off her medication, and fast for healing, she almost died. For the rest of her life she advised against such acts of “faith”. I personally, although having prayed for the sick, and seen them healed both instantly, and through fasting, had to have an operation in hospital after I was not healed after many months of faithful believing and at times painful prayer.
Does this stop me praying for the sick? No. Does it diminish my desire to believe for the mountains to be moved? In no way. But if Elisha died sick, we need to allow for such possibilities in the lives of the people we pray for, and the church.
