Christ our High priest lives for ever can always make INTERCESSION for us, ( intercession for the transgressors/Isaiah 53.) and that High priest became us to be holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners. The law has men who have infirmities, but the word of the oath ( the promises of God/that He will be a priest forever after the order of Melchizedec/who met with Abraham.) makes the Son consecrated, for evermore. a High priest forever after the order of Melchizedec.)
Hebrews 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
How does the LAW OF LIBERTY work ? It cant be as those in the first covenant/law understand it, because it cant be at all without belief in the promises of God, which are NOT THE LAW, but told in the law and the prophets. Then we see through faith it is by belief in the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which will be our way to be saved. ( MERCY REJOICES AGANST JUDGEMENT.)
Now here is a UNIQUE testimony for this thread. Peter standing next to JAMES, tells how we are saved with our hearts purified by faith, and to not tempt God by works/laws which the house of Israel was UNABLE TO BEAR. But to BELIEVE that THROUGH THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WE SHALL BE SAVED. ( Jew and Gentile.)
JAMES answers next, of Simon Peters same testimony, and of the Gentiles and the residue of men might seek after the Lord and all the Gentiles upon whom HIS NAME IS CALLED, says the Lord, to not trouble those who among the Gentiles are turned to God, ( as this was law following Jews troubling the Gentiles) but generally reminding them to keep from idols, fornication and from blood. (NO LAWS EVIDENT.)
Acts 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
Acts 15:13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: FROM WHICH IF YE KEEP YOURSELVES, YE SHALL DO WELL. Fare ye well.
James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
We have that advocate, we keep His commandments if we know Him, not keep HIs commandments to know Him, that is the difference between faith and those who TEACH LAW. ( they do not teach faith by the hearing of it, they teach law by hearing no faith.)
We are to walk as Christ walked. ( we WALK BY FAITH, not by sight/sight is the law, the ten commandments seen on tables of stone.) The commandment from the beginning was to love our brother, it is new because now the true light is shining. 9 John 1:9.)
2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
1 John 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
If we believe in the light ( faith in Christ who is that light come into the world) we love our brother as we abide in the light, we do not stumble from loving our brother being in the light, those who hate their brother, ( not of faith/IN THE LAW.) are in darkness, ( Christ has not shined in their hearts to give the light of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ to them under the vail/darkness of the law. 1 Corinthians 4:6.) John writes to us because our sins are forgiven for HIs names sake. ( He writes to us for FAITH, NOT LAW.)
2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
1 John 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
This is the love of God manifested, by SENDING HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON INTO THE WORLD, for us to live through Him, God sent His Son to be PROITIATION for our sins. This is our calling to love one another, ( HOW IS IT THE LAW/TEXHERS OF THE LAW, CALLING US ? )we also know through faith this is us dwelling in God and God dwelling in us, the Spirit given through faith in Christ, testifying that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world, for us to confess that Jesus is the Son of God for God to dwell in us and we to dwell in Him, we knowing and believing the love God has towards us, ( the love of God MANIFESTED) that God is love and if we dwell in love we dwell in Gd and God dwells in us. This is the boldness we have in the day of judgement/believing Christ is in the world with us. ( no boldness will come through the law and those who follow it. )
1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
