Mass Shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church/School in Minneapolis

While it may not be the only reason, there appears to be a direct correlation between the number of guns available and mass shootings.. The number of assault-style weapons in the US has increased from 1–2 million in the 1970s to more than 25 million today.

And yet the aws are used in only 29% of ms. Also, gun ownership has decreased through the years while ms has increased.

OVERALL HOUSEHOLD GUN OWNERSHIP

n From 1973 to 2021, the percentage of American households that reported having any guns in the home dropped by
28 percent.

n During this period the percentage of adults living in households with guns hit its peak in 1980, when more than half
(53.7 percent) of Americans reported living in households with guns. By 2021, 35.2 percent of Americans reported
living in households with guns, a drop of 18.5 percentage points.

n In 2021, just over a third of Americans reported living in households with guns.

n In 2012, the percentage of adults living in households with guns hit its lowest level ever recorded by the GSS (32.1
percent). And while this percentage increased slightly since 2012, the percentage of American adults that reported
living in households with guns in 2021 (35.2 percent) is 34 percent lower than its peak in 1980 (53.7 percent).

So gun ownership has actually decreased substantially since 1973 but ms incidents have increased exponentially. Your analysts above is missing the human component. Why do ms actually occur? I’ll think you will fund that the answer is quite complex so just an analysts about guns misses the mark.

Blacks Reject Their Heroic White Saviors

This is correct.

Tensions flare in Crown Heights as extremist group targets ‘zionist white supremacists’ over 1991 incident

Crown Heights Bites Back held a vigil to commemorate the killing of a Black child that sparked antisemitic riots.

Around 20 masked activists stood on a street corner Tuesday night in Crown Heights, distributing fliers accusing “zionist white supremacists” of murdering a child whose accidental death sparked antisemitic violence in the neighborhood in 1991.

Their audience featured both counter-protesters drawn from the Chabad Lubavitch movement they targeted and security officials charged with keeping the peace.

Local officials had denounced the rally planned by a group called Crown Heights Bites Back as antisemitic. The group announced itself earlier this year and has promoted mutual aid efforts and pro-Palestinian protests as well as advocacy against local Jews, including those affiliated with the Chabad Lubavitch movement that is based in the neighborhood.

Crown Heights Bites Back, which also praised the shooting of two Israeli embassy staffers in May and has distributed flyers accusing Hasidic Jews of landlord abuse, framed its vigil as a call for justice, but some Jewish spectators saw it as an attempt to provoke conflict.

The group also participated in the anti-Israel protests that engulfed Crown Heights in April following far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s visit to Chabad’s headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway.

From the groups website:

We are CROWN HEIGHTS BITES BACK! We are a Crown Heights-based, African and Indigenous-led revolutionary collective resisting state repression and providing food, clothing, safety, and political education to our neighbors. We are forging networks of community support and survival and building a society where people are free from capitalist exploitation and coercion. Our community programs: Mutual Aid, Political Education, and Direct Action, set the necessary conditions for the struggle against colonialism, which is at the heart of our frustration and dispossession.

We are dedicated to an anti-capitalist, anti-slavery, anti-racist, anti-misogynist, anti-zionist, anti-liberal, anti-ableist, anti-imperialist, internationalist, decolonial, abolitionist, and Marxist-Leninist analysis. We promote African and Indigenous self-determination, land back, the right of any colonized people to resist their colonizer, and collective liberation through acts of force.

We believe in the revolutionary power and self-governing capabilities of the masses, and aim to facilitate programs related to eviction defense, ICE and pig watch, de-arrest, appropriation of resources, or any other tactic necessary for colonized communities to defend themselves.

  1. we have zero tolerance for anti-blackness.
  2. we do not welcome racists, zionists, or liberals.
  3. we do not welcome misogynists, transphobes, or homophobes.
  4. we do not welcome sex-pests, abusers, or over-fraternization.
  5. we do not welcome academic chauvinists or teachers’-pets.
  6. we do not welcome settler-chauvinists or crakkker communists who reject land-back or indigenous demands.
  7. we are not a debate club, we do not engage with persistent or combative participants.
  8. we entertain zero state department propaganda or any propaganda from the empire.
  9. we reserve the right to remove anyone else who the collective deems suspicious, reactionary, federal, or otherwise annoying.
Yup a leftist group. The wackos are taking over. The left supports rhe majority of those items.

Is This The New Normal?

I’m in New England in a sanctuary city. We aren’t putting up with it. When ICE arrives, we interfere. It’s working great for us and we continue to do it so ICE isn’t coming all that much anymore.
Thats too bad. Hopefully in the future things will change and ICE will decide to do their job there as well. We have 3 1/2 years left.

Trump Threatens Federal Takeover of Washington After Member of DOGE Is Assaulted

Trump’s Epstein problem is real: New poll shows many in his base disapprove of his handling of the files, and some supporters are having second thoughts about electing him

Americans are paying close attention to the prolonged Epstein controversy. Our polling finds that 3 in 4 respondents have heard, read or seen “a lot” or “some” about Epstein.

Moreover, most believe that Trump is fumbling the matter.

Seven in 10 Americans believe that Trump is handling the matter “not well.” This includes pluralities of Trump’s most loyal supporters, 43% of Republicans, 43% of conservatives, and 47% of those who voted for him in 2024.

When we drill down on the 47% of 2024 Trump voters who disapprove of Trump’s handling of the Epstein controversy, we find significant cracks in the MAGA facade. Among members of this group, 28% now disapprove of Trump as president.

While so many Christians in third world countries, struggle to get by.

The fundraiser itself wasn't particularly Christian. Although I am sure many Christians participated.

Trump team has fined immigrants who didn’t self-deport $6 billion — and now it’s coming to collect

The fines amount to cruel and unusual punishment to me, you know the same argument Trump's lawyers got the courts to agree on his massive fine. Of course, most cannot pay and certainly not millions. It is deceptive to imply you can come back to the USA legally as the article suggests. Most will not make that cut because law forbids it or they will not have enough income once they leave the country. The biggest problem though I have as a Christian is that the USA and others treat poor and rich foreigners differently. I am not sure if that is true for deportations, but at least the rich will have representation and the ability to file for legal status if they have not been here too long. Though I might be more liberal than most, I would just prefer a Reagan type of amnesty for those with a job and the ability to pay the fees to process a green card. It is less disruptive to families and is good economics.

Here’s the No. 1 fallacy on eternal security

Where? Please point to your post where you addressed my questions?
Same post. You quoted 2 Cor 5: "If anyone is in Christ...", and then added your opinion that the resulting new creation cannot be uncreated, that we can’t compromise our saved status. And I quoted John 15:5 in response: Jesus said, "If you remain in Me..." That implies choice-as do many of the quotes in my following post.

Mass Shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church/School in Minneapolis

During the 1970’s and 80’s it was not uncommon for high school kids to have shotgun racks with shot guns showing through the back windows of their trucks (particularly in the south). There were very few to no mass shootings at school back then. The gun is not the issue.
It was a yes or no question. Isn't saving a few lives is better than saving none?

While it may not be the only reason, there appears to be a direct correlation between the number of guns available and mass shootings.. The number of assault-style weapons in the US has increased from 1–2 million in the 1970s to more than 25 million today.

Much of Christian fundraising is total sham!!! Take your rewards(theft) now, it will all be burned up later!

26 Then you will say, 'But we ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' 27 And he will reply, 'I tell you, I don't know you or where you come from. Get away from me, all you who do evil.' [Luk 13:26-27 NLT]

Ten least crime ridden cities in the USA.

Certainly, Philip. Based on the most recent 2025 data from the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting Program and analysis by the Council on Criminal Justice, here are ten U.S. cities with the lowest crime rates per capita, along with the political affiliations of their mayors and state governors:

️ Ten Lowest-Crime Cities in the U.S. (2025)

RankCity, StateViolent Crime Rate (/1,000)Mayor (Party)Governor (Party)
1Campton Hills, IL0.09John E. Strauss (Nonpartisan)J.B. Pritzker (Democrat)
2Ridgefield, CT0.12Rudy Marconi (Democrat)Ned Lamont (Democrat)
3Hopkinton, MA0.16Scott A. Richardson (Nonpartisan)Maura Healey (Democrat)
4Darien, CT0.14Monica McNally (Republican)Ned Lamont (Democrat)
5Ridgewood, NJ0.19Paul Vagianos (Democrat)Phil Murphy (Democrat)
6Flower Mound, TX0.22Derek France (Republican)Greg Abbott (Republican)
7Westport, CT0.18Jennifer Tooker (Republican)Ned Lamont (Democrat)
8Southlake, TX0.25John Huffman (Republican)Greg Abbott (Republican)
9Lexington, MA0.21Jim Malloy (Nonpartisan)Maura Healey (Democrat)
10Newton, MA0.28Ruthanne Fuller (Democrat)Maura Healey (Democrat)

These cities exemplify how low crime rates often correlate with factors such as affluence, strong local governance, and community engagement rather than strictly partisan leadership.
I am not racist but I suspect that race and income levels have much to do with the low crime. I looked up Campton Hills for instance, 90% white and per capita income around 74,000. There are data problems too with crime rates. Not all states measure or report them to the FBI in the same way. I would prefer to also metro areas 50k and up. Some of the ones here are micropolitan statistical areas. 10k to 50k in population.

A conversation about unity.

Hmm, should I follow your interpretation of the entirety of Church Father and Scripture? Sorry, you're out
Mmmm should we follow the only church that believes in transubstantiation? Sorry you are out.
Try again. AI can't save you ^_^

Edit: I'm feeling charitable, research how the Jews looked at the celebration of the Passover
That was not from AI. I don‘t use it. The definition comes from Strong’s G364. You can either address it or not, your choice. Remembrance (anamnesis) means to remember, the memory of, not the actual.

I don’t need your charity so please give to those in need instead.

Yes I remember that I was in high school in the 70s.

Here’s the No. 1 fallacy on eternal security

Sure I did.
Where? Please point to your post where you addressed my questions?
No. You're not comapring apples with apples. Paul has this to say, directly related to Jesus' words about branches grafted in,
"If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either." Rom 11:17-21

Your's is a novel argument devised to support a novel gospel a few centuries past..

Of course not. Neither are Jesus and James et al in tension with John and Paul, But none say that man can't resist grace, that believers are necessarily guaranteed to do good works- just the opposite, in fact. We're warned in Rom 6 that sin leads to death and that we must "offer every part of yourself to Him as an instrument of righteousness", because holiness results in eternal life. So Jesus can rightly say,
"If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” Matt 19:1

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matt 22:36-40

With Paul echoing:
"Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." Rom 13:8-10

"To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life." Rom 2:7

"For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous." Rom 2:13

"Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God." Rom 8:12-14

"He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." 2 Cor 3:6
Your typical deflection. I’ll respond to you when you show me where you responded to the questions that I asked you in my post 22.
