Prayer Target- Iran

Hi everyone, I had an idea for a prayer target, we need to pray for Iran! I was just on YouTube and I saw some videos made in the last few days, it looks like almost all women in Iran are not wearing the hijab anymore (muslim head scarf), not a soul! We need to pray for freedom for the Iranian people from the dictatorship and also freedom for Iranian women!

Lord God the body of Christ agrees right now for Your intervention in the situation in Iran and for the salvation of the Iranian people and their deliverance from Islam! We bind the spirit of Islam operating in Iran and command it to go now in the name of Jesus! We pray for Your intervention in the political situation in Iran and for freedom from the Iranian people from the dictatorship and also freedom for Iranian women from the hijab and burqa and that the hijab and burqa laws would be struck down! We claim the nation of Iran and the Iranian people for the kingdom of God now in the name of Jesus! We also lift up Mahmood Ahmadinejad to You and pray for conviction for him and for his salvation and deliverance from Islam, we bind the spirit of Islam operating in his life and we command it go now in the name of Jesus, we claim Mahmood and his family for the kingdom of God now in the name of Jesus! We also lift up the ayatollah of Iran to You and we pray for his conviction and salvation and his deliverance from Islam, we bind the spirit of Islam operating in his life and command it to go in Jesus' name. We also pray that Iran would stop supporting Hamas and for Israel's protection from Iran! Lord deliver Iran from the power of the enemy!

24/7 Prayer and Ministry in Harrisburg, PA!

Hey, fantastic news! There is a ministry in my hometown (Harrisburg, PA) called JHOP, Justice House of Prayer. They have just recently secured a building in town and have been having meetings every Sunday night at 6pm and are getting ready to launch the night watch by New Years Eve and will then transition to 24/7 prayer and worship in the city of Harrisburg! Having 24/7 prayer and worship in my hometown is a major victory, this may change the atmosphere in the city and may also change the city of Harrisburg forever! The building is only 1 mile from my apartment so I may be down there every night, I will love this! If you wouldn't mind agree with me in prayer for JHOP!

Lord God we lift up JHOP, Justice House of Prayer to You and pray that Your hand of blessing would be upon them as they roll out 24/7 prayer and ministry in Harrisburg. We pray that worship would go forth from the JHOP building and it would shift the atmosphere in Harrisburg and would change the city forever! We pray for wisdom for the leadership and that the launch of the night watch and 24/7 ministry would go smoothly with no problems, we also pray for supernatural provision for JHOP for all of their needs! We pray for the salvation of the people of Harrisburg!

She's Chosen the Good Portion

“Six days before the Passover, Jesus therefore came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. So they gave a dinner for him there. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those reclining with him at table. Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said, ‘Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?’ He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it. Jesus said, ‘Leave her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of my burial. For the poor you always have with you, but you do not always have me.’” (John 12:1-8 ESV)

We read about Martha and Mary also in Luke 10:38-42. Martha was serving then, too, and Mary was sitting at the Lord’s feet listening to his teaching. Martha was concerned that Mary was not helping her serve, and so Jesus responded, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”

And in today’s lesson Mary is found anointing the feet of Jesus with expensive ointment and wiping his feet with her hair. So she is again at Jesus’ feet (not sure the historical order of these two stories). And Jesus defended the honor of Mary once again, only this time against Judas Iscariot’s rebuke of her, which stemmed from his selfish motives. And Jesus said, “Leave her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of my burial. For the poor you always have with you, but you do not always have me.”

Now when we are serving the Lord Jesus with our lives, in answering his call upon our lives, we are always going to have people who think we should be doing something different from what we are doing, for they may not see the importance of the ministry God has given us, and they may minimize it because it doesn’t fit in with traditional standards created in the minds of human beings who have locked themselves into religious rituals and practices that they think are of God, when they may not be.

For what is commonly being referred to as “the church” these days is mostly not the biblical church, the body of Christ throughout the entire world. Mostly these gatherings of what are called “church” are institutions of man, created in the minds of human beings, being operated according to worldly or human standards under the headship of church denominations and incorporated under the state (the government). So they are not of God.

And it appears that most of them have gone the way of the world and they are marketing their “churches” to the world with worldly means and methods, and so the majority, it appears, have also altered the divine character of God/Christ, and of his church, and of his gospel message to make them more acceptable and appealing to the ungodly and to human flesh. So, biblically, these gatherings are not the church, the body of Christ.

So, what is the church? It is the collective body of Christ throughout the entire world comprised of all who believe in Jesus Christ with God-given and God-ordained and God-persuaded faith in Jesus Christ which results in the forsaking of our sins and us following our Lord Jesus in obedience to his commands, in practice. All those who make professions of faith in Jesus Christ but have not and are not dying to sin and living to righteousness in walks of obedience to Christ are not the biblical body of Christ, the church.

And a specific location is not a necessity in the gatherings of our Lord’s true church, his body. Remember what he told the woman at the well?

Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father… But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” (John 4:21-23 ESV)

So, the focus is on true worship of God, not the location, and not the day of the week or the time of day. And true worship of God is not going through a bunch of religious practices and rituals instituted of man which do not coincide with God’s biblical purpose for his church. So, why am I going off on this subject of church? Because the same thing that was done to Mary by her sister Martha and by Judas Iscariot (different things with different motives) is being done today by “church” people.

It really doesn’t matter to most of them, it would seem, if you are sitting at Jesus’ feet daily, sinking in the truths of his word, and then living them out in your daily life in doing what the Scriptures teach that we all should be doing with our lives, if you are not sitting in a chair or a pew in one of their “institutional market-driven churches” on a Sunday morning going through their religious rituals, singing their songs, and listening to their preacher. Do you see where I am going with this? I hope you do!

Jesus is all about having followers of him who will serve him with their lives wholeheartedly, who will sit at his feet daily, drink in his word, and do what he says, and who will do the work of the ministry to which he has called them. He is looking for people like Mary who will be brave enough to stand out as different and to serve the Lord in the way in which he wants them to serve him, even if they are ridiculed by others who think they should be someplace else doing something else other than what they are doing. For it is Jesus we serve, not human beings.

So, please understand that sitting in a pew in a building called “church” on a Sunday morning as a spectator is not serving Jesus Christ with your life, and it is not what the gatherings of the church are to be all about. You know that Scripture “they” love to use against us who do not attend these institutions of man? It says that we are to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, but encouraging one another. And in another passage it says we are to exhort one another daily so none of us are hardened by sin’s deceitfulness (Hebrews 10:24-25; Hebrews 3:13).

When we gather together it is so we can encourage and exhort and minister to one another to help one another to grow to maturity in our walks of faith and obedience to our Lord. So this is what is pleasing to the Lord, not “church” attendance on a Sunday morning. We are all to be sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ (the true gospel) and spiritually encouraging and exhorting and stirring up one another to faithful walks of obedience to the Lord. And if this is what we are doing, God is pleased, for we have chosen “the good portion.” So don’t let the opinions of others discourage you.

Jesus, Hold My Hand

By Albert E. Brumley

As I travel through this pilgrim land
There is a friend who walks with me
Leads me safely through the sinking sand
It is the Christ at Calvary
This would be my prayer, dear Lord, each day
You help me do the best I can
For I need Thy light to guide me day and night
Blessed Jesus, hold my hand

When I wander thru the valley dim
toward the setting of the sun,
Lead me safely to a land of rest
if I a crown of life have won;
I have put my faith in Thee, dear Lord,
that I may reach the golden strand,
There's no other Friend on whom I can depend,
Blessed Jesus, hold my hand.

Jesus, hold my hand
'Cause I need Thee every hour
Through this pilgrim land
Protect me by Thy power
Hear my feeble plea
And O Lord look down on me
When I kneel in prayer
I hope to meet You there
Blessed Jesus, hold my hand

The Israeli/Palestine conflict...

The Israeli/Palestine conflict...

The Israeli/Palestine conflict is a tragedy, as is all war, etc. But while this remains strictly an Israeli/Palestine conflict, the US cannot get involved, or intervene, etc. But say, if other surrounding nations were to get directly involved, then the US would have to intervene, but it would be because we had to, and not because we wanted to, etc. And at that point we would unleash all the hell that the American military could muster upon those nations at that point, and as brutally as we would have to at that point, etc. This, in order to protect everyone else, and the whole world, etc, and for the most minimal loss of life in the long term, or in the end, etc, which is where the US thinks something like that would eventually go, and so it is a preventive measure, etc.

All war is a tragedy, no one and nothing ever profits from it, etc. Well, almost no one or nothing, as there are some who do learn how to make a profit and/or gain from it, etc. And I think those people are absolutely despicable, but they still do exist nonetheless, and exist, just about everywhere, etc. But almost everyone and everything else always loses in war, etc, but yet, it also, still does exist, etc. And no one and nothing has ever been able to completely do away with it yet, etc, and so it is still a very real reality in our world right now currently, etc, and that is a most unfortunate tragedy, etc.

America must look to its own right now while this conflict is still limited to Israel and Palestine, etc, and so they both, are pretty much on their own right now unless other countries get directly involved, etc. We can offer things like prayer, and some medical aid/support maybe, and maybe to both sides maybe, but while this remains a strictly Palestine/Israeli conflict only, we cannot get much involved beyond that point right now, and nor can we make absolute judgments about either side, etc.

These two represent two sides, very much like in our own nation right now, etc, and I think that's why many are so divided about it, etc. These two are neighbors, and have been for a while, etc. And whenever or wherever one side prospers and is rich, and is always living at relative ease, and in the relative lap of luxury, and the other is not, but it's just the opposite, etc, there are always going to be problems, etc, and that other side will always eventually, always eventually and inevitably rebel always, etc, even killing or murdering innocents, or resorting to guerrilla warfare, or dare I say even to committing some acts of terrorism eventually, when that side gets desperate enough to deem it necessary eventually, etc.

Who's wrong/who's right, and who is to blame? I suppose everyone is, etc. For it is all our own corrupt human nature's that right now always get's us into these messes always, etc, and that has always eventually and inevitably always happened, all throughout our history, etc.

Can anyone fix it, or change it, or ever put an end to it? Well, I am a Christian, etc. And my Christian beliefs tell me that cannot ever happen until the second coming of Jesus, or when Jesus comes back, etc. Until then, we are all stuck with the way we all are right now currently, etc. Which always leads to death, and war, and suffering, and conflict, and destruction eventually, etc.

Anyway, thanks for listening to me go on about this.

God Bless.

And while this remains a Israeli/Palestine conflict only, and if it stays that way, etc, then we must let these peoples/nations do as they wish, and accept the eventual outcome either way, etc, for that is a part of non-interference, etc.

Sometimes the most difficult thing to do, is to not interfere, or not get in the way, etc, and I know this from very much first-hand experience, etc, especially in a war, or a conflict, etc.

God Bless.

Foods which correlate with CVD risk

Global Correlates of Cardiovascular Risk: A Comparison of 158 Countries.

The study is from 2018, but I discovered it today.

The aim of this study was a large-scale ecological analysis of nutritional and other environmental factors potentially associated with the incidence of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in the global context. Indicators of CVDs from 158 countries were compared with the statistics of mean intake (supply) of 60 food items...

...the results always show very similar trends and identify high carbohydrate consumption (mainly in the form of cereals and wheat, in particular) as the dietary factor most consistently associated with the risk of CVDs.

...Other suspect variables are alcohol (mainly in its distilled form) and sunflower oil, but their roles are limited to Europe where their consumption rates are sufficiently high.

...It is true that the connection between CVDs and carbohydrates has not been universally accepted yet, but both epidemiological and mechanistic evidence is growing, and this fundamental problem has attracted wide public attention.

.... More convincing results will be possible when more precise data on CVD prevalence are available. Because self-reported dietary questionnaires from observational studies are increasingly perceived as the dead end of nutritional science, such high-quality data are urgently needed. Results of detailed ecological analyses such as the present one can subsequently constitute a very useful contribution to the recent debate regarding the changing paradigm in cardiology.

To vote in favor of sola scriptura testing of all doctrine and tradition

Do you agree with Sola Scriptura testing of all doctrine and tradition?

  • Yes - all doctrine and tradition should be tested sola scriptura to see if it contradicts scripture

  • No - I do not think all doctrine and tradition should be tested sola scriptura

  • Tradition should be used to interpret the Bible and whether to accept a doctrine, accept a tradition

  • I don't know

Results are only viewable after voting.

If you favor sola scriptura testing of all doctrine and tradition that is presented to you as a proposal for accepting or rejecting... please cast your vote BOTH on the thread at the following link

I am not arguing that all doctrine or that all tradition violates the test of scripture - just that it must be tested.

And of course on this one where this is the OP

See the sola scriptura testing examples in Acts 17:11 and Mark 7:7-13 - and the result is 66 books that both sides accept.

For example notice this post at that thread link above #439 where the sola scriptura method as demonstrated in scripture - is shown to be both approved of by Christ and by the NT authors of Acts.

Christmas Holiday ‘Colonialist’ and ‘Discriminatory,’ Says Canadian Commission

Despite the commission's animosity toward Christmas, polls show that Canadians of all religions support Christmas being a public holiday.

Having a day off work for Christmas and Easter is evidence of Canada’s ‘colonialist’ history, a publicly funded human rights body has claimed.

The Canadian Human Rights Commission, which is funded by the federal government, said that the public celebration of major Christian festivals is rooted in religious intolerance.

“Discrimination against religious minorities in Canada is grounded in Canada’s history of colonialism,” the group said. “An obvious example is statutory holidays in Canada.”

In a report entitled “Discussion Paper on Religious Intolerance,” the group said that Christmas and Easter are the only statutory holidays linked to religion. “As a result, non-Christians may need to request special accommodations to observe their holy days and other times of the year where their religion requires them to abstain from work.”

“Canada’s history with religious intolerance is deeply rooted in our identity as a settler colonial state,” the report adds.

The Planck Length and Speed

Hello,

I would like to share something interesting about the Planck length and it's relationship to speed.

The Planck length requires that objects move at the speed of the Planck length/the Planck time. Which means that every thing would move at the same rate. But, we don't see that happening. Objects move at different speeds and so does living beings. The only way around this is if motion is an illusion or happens by objects disappearing and appearing in places.

What does this mean for the Planck length. Does it disprove it? Not necessarily, but it does mean that motion cannot be used as the proof of the Planck length.

Kari Lake's goose is cooked (again)

Winning....

A Maricopa County judge has rejected former gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake's lawsuit seeking to review ballot return envelopes of about 1.3 million voters.

Superior Court Judge John Hannah's ruling, which was filed Thursday, follows two days of trial on Sept. 21 and 25, during which Maricopa County made its case that Recorder Stephen Richer's office was right to deny Lake access to those envelopes and the signatures on them.

Judge:

"The broad right of electoral participation outweighs the narrow interests of those who would continue to pick at the machinery of democracy," Hannah wrote. He found that voters' privacy interests when it comes to their personal information justified withholding the envelopes, writing that to release the envelopes would "create a significant risk of widespread voter fraud where none now exists. It would expose voters to harassment and potentially force them to defend the integrity of their own votes."

"Ms. Lake regards the electoral process much like the villagers in the famous fable regarded the goose that laid the golden egg, except that her goose failed to lay the egg she expected," Hannah wrote, referencing an Aesop fable. "She insists that something must have gone wrong. If only she could cut open the electoral process and examine each of its 1.3 million pieces, she says, she would be able to figure out what happened and show that the prize has been there waiting for her all along."

Comer mischaracterizes Hunter Biden car payment reimbursement to his dad as China money

In an email to reporters, a spokesperson for Comer claimed that the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating Biden, had obtained bank records revealing that Hunter Biden’s law firm, Owasco PC, which had received payments from Chinese-state-linked companies and other foreign companies in the past, made direct monthly payments to Joe Biden. The email claimed the payments “are part of a pattern revealing Joe Biden knew about, participated in and benefited from his family’s influence-peddling schemes.”

“There is now a pattern of members of the Biden family using their bank accounts that have been funded by Chinese and other foreign entities to send money to Joe Biden,” the spokesperson said. “Based on witness testimony, Joe Biden knew and participated in his family’s influence-peddling schemes. The checks and payments we’ve uncovered reveal Joe Biden benefited from them.”

The three payments of $1,380 that occurred in September, October and November 2018 — nearly two years after Biden had left the vice presidency — were actually for a 2018 Ford Raptor truck Joe Biden had purchased that Hunter Biden was using, according to an email verified by a Washington Post forensic analysis.

Joe Biden signed for the truck and had it in his name — at a time when Hunter was in the depths of addiction, had a low credit score and couldn’t make the purchase himself, according to a person close to the Biden

[I don't know for a fact that this is the email WaPo refers to, but I saw it on the internet so it must be true.]

John Kerry says no coal plants should be ‘permitted anywhere in the world’

He said he is becoming more militant about coal plants because he does not “understand how adults who are in positions of responsibility can be avoiding responsibility for taking away those things that are killing people on a daily basis.” John Kerry is a huge waster of energy, flying around the world but many times not using commercial aircraft. One of our elite rulers. Not just the United States, but particularly the United Arab Emirates, have made great strides in greatly reducing pollution caused by fossil fuels and continue to innovate. At this point is is quite possible that EV's replacing combustion powered vehicles will have a greater negative effect on the earth.

We Are All Hindus Now

Old article but probably more so true today then it was in 2009.

According to a 2008 Pew Forum survey, 65 percent of us believe that “many religions can lead to eternal life”—including 37 percent of white evangelicals, the group most likely to believe that salvation is theirs alone. Also, the number of people who seek spiritual truth outside church is growing. Thirty percent of Americans call themselves “spiritual, not religious,” according to a 2009 NEWSWEEK Poll, up from 24 percent in 2005. Stephen Prothero, religion professor at Boston University, has long framed the American propensity for “the divine-deli-cafeteria religion” as “very much in the spirit of Hinduism. You’re not picking and choosing from different religions, because they’re all the same,” he says. “It isn’t about orthodoxy. It’s about whatever works. If going to yoga works, great—and if going to Catholic mass works, great. And if going to Catholic mass plus the yoga plus the Buddhist retreat works, that’s great, too.”

Yours in the Lord,

Glad to be here!

Hi, thank you for having me here. I am a born again Christian, blessed with mystical experiences, saved by Grace. I consider the path of Christianity a path of spiritual awakening, and I am always grateful to share inspiration with people and to join with everyone in this awakening. Have a blessed day!

The Rapture will happen in the middle of the Tribulation

Those who hold the pre-tribulation rapture position, usually site 1 Thessalonians 5:9 "For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ" But this verse cannot possibly refer to Christians suffering here on earth, because Christians have been persecuted since the first days of the church. We find the timing of the Rapture in Revelation 14:14-16 where the Angel harvests the earth - right in the middle of the tribulation, and just before the time of Jacob's Trouble. This timing is affirmed by two passages where we see saints pulled out of the Tribulation in Revelation 7:13-15 and Revelation 20:4.

We are giving the church faults hope by suggesting we will not have to endure the Tribulation. We need to prepare for these troubled times.

The Triumph of Bidenomics!

The supposedly-left-wing media seems to be doing a great job of discussing Biden's age, but not such a great job covering the stunning success of Bidenomics. Here are some numbers grudgingly reported by the right-wing media.

Inflation is receding and even reversing!

https://www.wsj.com/economy/goods-deflation-is-back-it-could-speed-inflations-return-to-2-c782d434?st=tyypnprf9k8adhu&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink

Prices for long-lasting items, known as durable goods, have fallen on a year-over-year basis for five straight months. In October, they were down 2.6% from their peak in September 2022, according to data released Thursday by the Commerce Department. That has helped bring down core inflation, which excludes the volatile food and energy categories, to 3.5% in October, from 5.5% in September 2022, as measured by the personal-consumption expenditures price index, the Fed’s preferred inflation gauge.

The economy is growing at the amazing pace of 5.2%!

https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/stock-market-today-dow-jones-11-29-2023/card/economy-grew-faster-than-thought-in-q3-but-slowdown-expected-CivDqG8scwqDUnP0qZSh

The economy grew faster than previously estimated during the third quarter—at a blistering seasonally- and inflation-adjusted 5.2% annual rate—because there was more fixed investment as well as state and local government spending than initially thought, the Commerce Department said Wednesday.

Even with the UAW strike, job creation is solid. Fears of a recession are disappearing.

US labor market loosens as job gains slow, unemployment rate hits 3.9%

  • Nonfarm payrolls increase 150,000 in October
  • Auto strikes reduce payrolls by 33,000 jobs
  • Unemployment rate rises to 3.9% from 3.8%
  • Average hourly earnings gain 0.2%; up 4.1% year-on-year
The economy added 101,000 fewer jobs in August and September than previously estimated, also suggesting slowing labor market momentum. The report strengthened financial market expectations that the Federal Reserve is done raising interest rates for the current cycle, and improved the chances of the U.S. central bank engineering a "soft-landing" for the economy rather than plunging it into recession as some economists had feared.

Manufacturing employment dropped 35,000, with the UAW strike at Ford Motor (F.N), General Motors (GM.N) and Chrysler parent Stellantis (STLAM.MI) factories as well as at Mack Trucks plants subtracting 33,000 jobs.

Seriously, there isn't much to complain about where the economy is concerned. But you have to go looking for the information.

Where you live and how you live counts in how healthy you are. Whoda thunk?

Perhaps the most illuminating part of the research has to do with the role of racial discrimination in healthcare outcomes. Over the last 28 years, researchers were able to link racism aimed at Black women to increased risks of diabetes, hypertension, accelerated aging, asthma and heart disease.

Another major healthcare determinant — which researchers attributed to structural racism — is one’s zip code. Access to parks, grocery stores, and higher levels of air pollution impacts Black women’s health regardless of their income levels, researchers found.

“We’ve come to realize how much one’s neighborhood environment and social structures, rather than genes, prescribe health outcomes,” said study co-lead Yvette Cozier in a recent report from the university.

“Structural racism affects where people live, how they can exercise, the foods they eat, and the resources available to them,” said Julie Palmer, who co-founded the study. “We didn’t have a name for it 20 years ago, but we have always acknowledged its influence on health, and we are continuing to examine how these racial experiences uniquely affect Black women.”

This amounts to is a realization in individuals that "This place sucks" and a determination to do whatever it takes to move.

What would you say to a person who believes that all three members of the Trinity are extremely dark and wicked?

I have a friend of mine from my childhood who is a completely different man. He tells me nowadays that he believes that God and Jesus Christ are extremely evil people who are just out to destroy everyone eventually. He doesn't believe that Jesus is good and literally hates him. He truly believes that Jesus has a very, very, dark heart. I am confused because I don't know where to start. Any advice?

Revelation 2:17 New name in Heaven

Silly question time. According to Revelation 2:17, we will each receive a white stone with a new name on it that no one knows. It’s a secret name. In some tribes and cultures, people do have common names that they are known by, and introduce themselves to strangers by, and then a secret name that only family and close friends know.

Will our new names be secret because we’re not supposed to tell anybody what it is, or is it secret because up until He gave it to us, only God knew what it was?

Army Tries to Bring Back Soldiers Booted for Refusing the COVID Vaccine

Army Tries to Bring Back Soldiers Booted for Refusing the COVID Vaccine.

In August of 2021, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin made the COVID vaccination shot a requirement for all U.S. servicemembers. President Joe Biden released a statement revealing his strong support before it went into effect. As a result, Politico reported that over “8,400 troops were kicked out of the military for refusing the vaccine.” About a year later, Biden signed a defense bill that repealed the vaccine mandate.

This month, news broke that the Army has sent letters to many of the troops who were ousted, which explains that soldiers can correct their records and reenter the service. The reversal has been met with tremendous backlash.

Retired Army Major Chase Spears wrote about the mistreatment servicemembers faced while the vaccine mandate was in effect. He shared, “The Army requires several immunizations and checkups throughout the year to maintain one’s medical readiness. Not one of those came with the coercive force of the COVID mandate. … It became the primary marker of human worth.” For Spears, the Army officials who heavily enforced the mandate seem to have no remorse for their actions. He added, “Hearkening back to biblical language, you were clean or unclean based on your shot status.”

Spears described the policy reversal as “a step toward sanity,” but concluded “it is far from enough.” “The question is whether those who made such un-American policy decisions can be trusted going forward.” He believes they cannot. Those affected by the military’s course of action have insisted this is a matter of trust and warn the military is about to get a wake-up call from the soldiers who no longer have confidence in the current leadership.

Many of the soldiers affected by the vaccine mandate were deprived of pay and benefits. According to Breitbart, retired attorney Dale Saran and attorneys Andy Meyer and Brandon Johnson are representing former troops who were kicked out “in three separate lawsuits they plan to turn into a class action lawsuit.” Saran estimated roughly “80,000 to 100,000 service members — both active-duty and reservists — who were impacted by the mandate.”

Mike Berry, vice president of External Affairs, director of Military Affairs, and senior counsel for First Liberty Institute, commented to The Washington Stand, “The only way an all-volunteer military works is with trust. But these past few years, the Pentagon has done nothing but shatter the trust of our servicemembers and veterans with lies, broken promises, and incompetence.” He explained that when First Liberty first “sued the Navy over its COVID vaccine mandate,” they warned them that the “unlawful manner in which the DOD was enforcing the mandate would result in a recruiting crisis.”

On Tuesday’s episode of “Washington Watch,” Berry unpacked the mandate’s rollback more. As far as he’s concerned, the problem with the letter is that it “doesn’t say anything about accountability.” He added, “It’s not about accomplishing the mission. And in this case, it’s not about protecting religious freedom, which is one of the things that our military exists to do.” He concluded, “They know what this is all about. This is all about just trying to save face, trying to make sure that on paper, our military is meeting its recruiting and retention numbers.”

Travis Weber, vice president for Policy and Government Affairs at Family Research Council and a Navy veteran, also commented to TWS, “The military never should have coerced its servicemembers to get the vaccine to begin with.” For Weber and all those witnessing the unfolding of the military’s actions, we “are dealing with the fallout as they try to woo back the thousands that they kicked out for refusing to violate their consciences and get the vaccine.”

Weber shared that it’s not surprising that servicemembers would be hesitant to return “to an institution that so easily thrust them aside in the face of public pressure” during COVID, which “the military bowed to along with much of the rest of society.” He concluded, “May this sad episode never be repeated, and may our nation’s military and civilian leadership be on guard to ensure they actually lead and not simply follow the blowing winds of public sentiment.”

Ive done it now.

Im not going to hold anything back in this. imma say it how it is.

I turned to Christ in August 2022. Just over one year ago. Before that I was an atheist desperate in disproving the existence of God. Jesus found me in the dumps and pulled me out. A year and a half later I am still throwing dirt in God's face and sinning quite frequently. My life has adapted a cycle.

Lust

Beg for forgiveness

Move on adamant I wont do it again

Do it again 2 days later

Repeat.

I have tried everything. I have walked away, gone outside, called up a friend, whatever. No matter what I do I give in. I just stop caring in the moment. I essentially flip God off and say "eh he will forgive me later". I just did that now.

A verse comes to mind:

See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears. (Hebrews 12:15–17)

I think I may have just done this. I feel cold inside. Helpless. Finished. I never even really got to know God and Ive gone and sinned one too many times. I don't blame God for this. He was good to me, forgiven me more times then I can count. And all I did was tell him to go away, that a couple minutes of pleasure was better then all he could offer. I wish I could go back and do it differently, but as the verse says, I can cry to the high heavens, but no-one will hear.
