Once Saved Always Saved vs You Were Never Really Saved at All

Can I get some of your guys opinions on this issue?
Does the Bible teach that once you are saved, you can always saved or can you actually fall out of your salvation
by rejecting it and living a non-Christian life? Or would that indicate that you were never truly saved to begin with?

The Bible is clear, deny or blaspheme the Holy spirit when you are taken before the Antichrist, or take the Mark. If you murder, you have to face Judgement after death, but Jesus has mercy. You cannot escape the Judgement, but this is talking of intentional murder, not defending another or yourself from attack. What would be essentially Murder 1 with planning.

Can we please have the silly hats removed. I find them irritating and unnecessary.

I find these a distraction and designed to belittle the serious exchanges that take place.

We should be able to opt out of such insensitivity. This is not a child's classroom - it is much more serious.

Likewise the falling leaves are an unnecessary distraction - please can we turn them off.

One of the Many Ethiopian Christian Homes, Businesses, and Churches Destroyed in Recent Years
Two years ago, extremist Muslims launched attacks on Christians in the community where Isayas lives. They torched Christians' crops, homes and possessions and destroyed the church where Isayas and others worshiped Christ. The Christians fled the area but later returned and bought land on which to rebuild their church. Read More.

Sunday Christians

Can someone please share their thoughts about this topic? Sunday Christians?
You should know what I am talking about just by the title, but in case you don't, I will
briefly describe the "problem".

We live in a world now where our days and weeks are organized in very strict, regimented, mandatory order.
In other words, most of us are company workers, employees. We have to follow a work schedule. We can't
just choose when we want to work and not work. Therefore, this new system of living (industrial age to post-
modernism) created what we call "Sunday Christians" meaning, we really only appear to be Christans on Sundays
because we go to church and attend worship services, bible studies, fellowship, etc.

We don't have the time (unless you are a worker in the ministry) to spend Mondays to Saturdays at church doing
ministry work. We have to go to our jobs. We have to come home and do our other duties (ie. taking care of family,
being a husband/wife etc). So we rarely live as the body of christ or the church. We really are only functioning as the
church in that 1 or 2 hours Sunday service.

Of course people can pray and read the bible throughout the week and really still be true Christians but I feel like
there is something problematic when we are mostly "Sunday Christians" only. Why do some christians don't feel
the need or urge to meet together more often outside of Sunday services? 1. They are too busy with work or other
social obligations, 2. They don't want to see you everyday and break bread with you everyday...that's TOO MUCH FACE TIME
with their church members. 3. They don't believe it's actually necessary to do those things to be a christian or even to be a church. You don't
need to, it's not urgent, it's no mandatory for believers to have to live their lives together as much as possible but only
once a week for 2 hours is enough...and maybe with the odd event here and there from time to time (ie. Xmas, easter, summer camp,
ski trip, apple picking, thanksgiving dinner, etc.).

But the early church described in Acts sounds to me more like they shared their lives together a lot more and more intimately. It sounded
like they met up with each other quite often (not just once a week) and did outreach, evangelization, selling of their properties to give
to the poor, serving others, praying together, breaking bread, etc.

Are there any Christmas Markets in the places where you live?

Christmas is getting nearer and nearer.
This Sunday will be the First Advent Sunday, traditionally the date, when Christmas Markets are opening.

Are there any Christmas Markets in the places where you live?
Or rather: Will there be from the 27th of November 2022 on?

In a bit of a pickle!

I wonder if someone would be kind enough to help me.
I seem to be in a bit of a pickle with my laptop.
Everytime I look at the screen, I keep seeing what appears to be green leaves coming down from the corner.
I've only recently been tested by the opticians , so I don't think my eyesight is failing me just yet.
I did try using a cloth with a little bit of mild detergent, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.
Maybe I am hallucinating? Should I see a doctor?
Has anyone else had this green leaf experience?

The Messianic was the first congregation

The purpose of Revelation was to reveal what was going to come to pass....

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.... - Revelation 1:1

Which all of this was to heavy for just ordinary churches in Asia that did not amount to anything....

The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; - Revelation 1:20 - Revelation 2:1

Ephesus - Messianic - Beginning with the Apostle to the Circumcision, Peter
Smyrna - Martyr - Beginning with the Apostle to the Un-Circumcision, Paul
Pergamos - Orthodoxy formed in this time... Pergos is a tower... Needed in the dark ages
Thyatira - Catholicism formed in this time - The spirit of Jezebel is to control and to dominate.
Sardis - Protestantism formed in this time- A sardius is a gem - elegant yet hard and rigid
Philadelphia - Wesleyism formed in this time - To be sanctioned is to acquire it with love.
Laodicea - Charismatic movement formed in this time - Beginning with DL Moody, the first to make money off of ministry

Candlesticks - Seven church congregations
Stars - Individuals within the congregations, all held in the right hand of Christ
Seals - The seven seals sealed each congregation within the lambs book of life
Angels - The current preacher to the congregation.

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. - Revelation 5:4

If this interpretation is not correct why all the ado? And... If you have a better interpretation please post your info! I dont mind for people to disagree with me and may end up learning a thing of two! I believe the churches came down as seven and each congregation is different in their generation!

I place the Messianic church as the first congregation and am amazed that it dissipated away with the Roman persecution. I value the Messianic and wish I would have met one personally. Noting, though, as a Gentile, I would of never completely have fit in. Please give some Messianic insight on this interpretation, noting, that I do not expect agreement, and that your interpretation would expectedly be different.

Will God save those led astray by heresy?

I would like to think that those who fall victim to erroneous doctrines and teachings about the Christian faith, God would redeem by their sincerity. He is merciful, after all. Is it really anyone's fault if they are taken in by a deceiver but mean well in their profession? We know so little and are so limited in our understandings. Paul warned about believing a different (heretical) gospel though, a gospel that doesn't save. Will God excuse our ignorance, which may be great, if we are spiritually attached to faith in Christ's propitiation? A verse for context below:

2 Peter 2
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping

At least 6 killed in Virginia Walmart shooting

The shooter has been identified as 31-year-old Andre Bing, a "team lead" for store's overnight shift, according to police. Law enforcement said they believe he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Chesapeake Police said Bing had one handgun and "several magazines" of ammunition with him. Police said he was "dressed in civilian clothing and was not wearing any type of armor or ballistic vest," the statement reads.

Daniel 12:13 undeniably proves that the AOD fits in the end of this age, not 2000 years ago.

For those who might not know what AOD stands for, it stands for the abomination of desolation.

How so that Daniel 12:13 undeniably proves that the AOD fits in the end of this age, not 2000 years ago? Simple, this is how.

Daniel 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

The first thing to note is what this says. This says at the end of the days. The end of what days? How can it not be meaning these days recorded in the following verses? In case anyone wants to argue with this logic, is anyone going to argue that Daniel rises before these days are even fulfilled first?

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

Obviously, since ch 12 mentions no more days beyond the 1335th day recorded in verse 12, this means that the 1335th day is when we have reached the end of the days pertaining to verse 13.

Is anyone going to argue, the fact Daniel has been dead for ages now, that this---for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days---does not mean that he remains bodily dead until he stands in his lot at the end of the days? Is anyone going to argue that when he stands in his lot that this is not because of what is recorded in Daniel 12:2? Is anyone going to argue, that when he stands in his lot at the end of the days, that this is not meaning during/after what is recorded in verse 1? And as to the 1335th day recorded in Daniel 12:12, is anyone going to argue that one can come to that day without it even first involving the 1290 days recorded in verse 11?

Assuming Matthew 24:15-21 is allegedly involving the first century and 70 AD like many interpreters adamantly insist, is anyone going to argue that Daniel stood in his lot at the end of the days involving the first century leading up to 70AD, that he rose from the dead, meaning verse 2 in Daniel 12, right after 70 AD was fulfilled?

Probably no one would argue any of these things above, right? But why not if one is already arguing that Matthew 24:15-21 is involving the first century leading up to 70 AD? Which then logically means we have to apply both Daniel 12:11 and Daniel 12:12 to that of the first century leading up to 70 AD. Which then logically means that Daniel rose from the dead right after 70 AD. Except there is no logic to any of this and everyone knows it. So why then interpret some of these things in a manner such as this, that it makes nonsense out of what is recorded in Daniel 12?

In order for any interpretation to be a possibility, it can't defy logic, it has to be logical at least. There is nothing logical about applying Daniel 12:11 and Daniel 12:12 to that of the first century and 70 AD since this would mean the end of the days meant in Daniel 12:13, that this has arrived shortly after 70 AD, and that Daniel rose from the dead following 70 AD.

Falling Leaves?

Greetings everyone, does anyone know why I have light green leaves falling from the upper righthand corner of my browser as I'm surfing here at CF?

If it's something that's been added as an upgrade, my suggestion is to remove it as it is pretty distracting (motion, of any kind, on a format like this one, always is, IMHO).

Thanks!

God bless you!!

It is the need that sees…..

Philippians 3:9 (NASB20)
and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This righteousness that one needs to be found having, for it being, the very life of Christ itself…. For this is the free gift of God to mankind, Christ’s righteous life being brought to life in one, this is the life that must be manifested in one if one would be of the mind to get an abundant welcome….
For the manifesting of which comes not through one’s own effort, but by one recognizing one’s absolute need of it and the absolute impossibility of manifesting this life on one’s own…. For in the recognizing of one’s need, births the needed faith, and then the faith is the conduit to the life itself… For it is this free gift of the life of Christ in one that does produce the necessary righteousness if one has the will to maintain one’s trusting in God, which manifests the truth of the statement; ‘a sick one seeing their need of a doctor’…. For when one sees what one truly is, that being, nothing but disorder on legs, then one runs to this free gift that is being held out to all, for it is held out to all, but one seeing one’s need of this free gift, illuminates the gift….
For to the one that sees their need, this running, this fighting, this working out of one’s own salvation before God becomes one’s very life, all things take a second place to it…. For it is a free gift…. For the one that sees that this free gift of the life that produces righteousness is to be expressed in all of the doings of life by recognizing the faith that is capable of producing it… For that one’s need will grow a faith that will settle for nothing less, because the need sees the doing of righteousness in all things is God’s will in all things, then it sees how all but this will is of the disorder….
For fighting the fight to keep on trusting is the working out one is called to…. To not shrink back into doubt and fear when one’s human reasonings are throwing a fit, for this is the time of the greatest growth if one will soldier on to reap the fruit of righteousness that is waiting for the trusting one, which fruit will be discovered to be the very joy of one’s life….
For the righteousness of God is open and offered to all, the one that accepts this offer, and to the degree this offer is accepted, oh happy day, for that one will most assuredly receive Christ’s life to the degree the gift is accepted….
Be blessed in the need that does the accepting, Not me
Rapture of a "critical mass"
In nuclear engineering a brief explantion of "critical mass" triggering an event like an atomic explosion is -
In nuclear engineering, a critical mass is the smallest amount of fissile material needed for a sustained nuclear chain reaction.
In the Bible there is such a similar matter with the rapture of a critical mass of Christians who are watching and ready.
I submit that in the past to thousand years of church history some individuals and small groups have probably been ready to be rapture.
The died in hope which was not in vain.
At the end of this age a critical mass of such will be enlarged and as a remnant will be raptured.
The majority of the saints, however, will pass through the great tribulation. Their taking to the Lord in the air will be latter.
Allow me to try to prove this. Some have referred to this as "Selective Rapture."
Widowers boundaries getting walked over. How to respond in the most Christ like fashion.
So background here.
I am a widower as of this year. Just a few months. My late wife, the honest Gift from God was taken from me. I am dealing with the grief and adjustment through several means. Griefshare, diving headfirst into Gods word, and a widows / widowers support group.
I am not now, nor am I certain I will ever be interested in another relationship. I am relatively youngish for a widower at 53, and the thought of spending the rest of my live without someone to share it with bothers me greatly yes. We have no children, so at home it is literally just me, and our pets.
I have been talking to one of the Widows from the group that has been struggling as well, praying for her, encouraging her etc...
Now this particular widow is a Christian woman, but of a different cultural background, and so I may be misreading what she is saying, but in our conversations as of late it would seem she has set her sights on me as a potential partner / dating / marriage. As in she wants me to meet her mother, calls me dear etc... I need to not be too specific as I don't want to identify her straight out but she is of a Pacific Islander background.
Mind you, if I were just plain old single, I would be overjoyed at the attention, but given that I am a widower, and how recent it has been I am very uncomfortable with the contact with this woman now. I know I am no longer married as we crossed the 'till death do us part threshold, but even just the direction conversation has gone feels like I am being unfaithful to my wife.
In our group conversations, and to her specifically I have stated repeatedly that I am unsure if I will ever be comfortable with that sort of relationship again, but given all other factors now is not the time. And yes people ask. I know people that remarried not much longer after their spouse died.
I know everyone grieves at their own pace, and like I said, if I were just plain old single, her values, her personality, and yes she is an attractive woman, I would be thrilled, but now is not the time. I do not wish to give her false hope that I might start pursuing her, and I do not want to lead her on.
I am not used to this sort of thing as I have been married more or less my entire adult life. And this is causing me a huge amount of concern.
So the question I have is, how do I make sure my boundaries are understood and respected, or even approach the subject in the chance that this is a cultural misunderstanding?
White House Releases Propaganda Talking Points for Thanksgiving
In a pathetic move, the White House just released talking points people can use when "talking to their uncle." Of course, most of this is fake news propaganda and/or misleading.
In reality, this should be the only "talking point" that matters this Thanksgiving:
