  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

John Kelly goes on the record to confirm several disturbing stories about Trump

“What can I add that has not already been said?” Kelly said, when asked if he wanted to weigh in on his former boss in light of recent comments made by other former Trump officials. “A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them.’ A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’ A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family – for all Gold Star families – on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.
“A person who is not truthful regarding his position on the protection of unborn life, on women, on minorities, on evangelical Christians, on Jews, on working men and women,” Kelly continued. “A person that has no idea what America stands for and has no idea what America is all about. A person who cavalierly suggests that a selfless warrior who has served his country for 40 years in peacetime and war should lose his life for treason – in expectation that someone will take action. A person who admires autocrats and murderous dictators. A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.
“There is nothing more that can be said,” Kelly concluded. “God help us.”
Wow. Wish he spoke up sooner.

Enoch and Holy Scripture

I am currently reading into the Book of Enoch in which he made a little headway into our current Bible...

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. - Jude 1:14-15

And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones. To execute judgement upon all and to destroy all the ungodly: And to convict all flesh of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. - Book of Enoch 1:9

Reading into the Book of Enoch I find largely judgements against the Ungodly. After reading into most of that I went to church this morning thankful we live in the age of grace where we can find a walk with the Holy Spirit. I also wonder why more of Enoch was not included in our compilation of scripture.

Disney is evil

I've had it with Disney. I think they are getting into the horror movie business. I watched Jungle Cruise last night, it was disgusting. The only thing I liked was the tree with the 'tears of the moon.' which bloomed very breifly with pretty flowers, reminded me of the tree of life in the bible. It did have garden of Eden themes, with all the scary snakes, it had way too many snakes in it, I hate snakes. It had a gay character, cursed undead conquistador soldiers, a man who claimed he wanted to heal sick daughter, yet violently attacked and tried to kill the natives who had helped and healed them, who became a cursed villain whose body was petrified and filled with snakes and soul tortured, That is demonic/Satanic. I wonder if God will punish the wicked that way in hell. The female scientist in the movie wears pants, which shocks some of the people in the early 20th century the movie takes place in. She has a man's place as a scientist and adventurer. The female scientists steals an object needed in her quest, stealing is a sin and a crime, it is not right, other Disney movies have heroes that steal in them, this is not what we want to teach our children.

I've seen other Disney movies with snakes, A lot of Disney movies have 'spirits' in them, sometimes the spirits are supposedly 'good' but there are a lot of evil ones, usually they don't use the name Satan. But they are very careful not to use God's name, and the name of Jesus Christ. In Frozen they have magic, and there is revenge, hitting, slapping. Disney movies have become violent.

These days, you can't expect a Disney movie to be appropriate for children, innocent or wholesome. They are as trashy and demonic as other movies. I guess since most kids don't go to church or read the Bible they don't know about Eden or the tree of life, or the tree of knowledge of good and evil, or Satan the old serpent who deceives the whole world.

The Twilight Zone

Anybody else a fan of this TV series?

I became curious about the background of the creator of this series, Rod Serling, since many of the episodes he wrote had moral or religious themes. It turns out he was a Jew who converted to Unitarianism at a time when church membership was normative in the US, because his wife wasn't Jewish and they needed a church to go to together (his wife had been Protestant). The preaching at his Unitarian church had an influence on his appreciation of the value of religious symbolism. He also was a WWII veteran (Marine) and saw fierce combat in the Pacific on the Filipino island of Luzon, something that made him detest war and nationalism the rest of his life, and which lead him to seek to become a writer as an outlet for his trauma.

My favorite episode is Night of the Meek, written by Rod Serling in one of the later seasons, and aired December 23, 1960. It's sort of like a much less cynical version of"Bad Santa". Art Carney plays a drunk, Henry Corwin, who lives surrounded by poverty and once a year gets a job as a department store Santa Claus. Drunk at a bar, he makes a wish that "just one Christmas... the meek would inherit the Earth", and then he finds a magic bag that gives people whatever they want. He gives away so many toys, the police end up suspecting he must have stolen them, but then is exonerated when he gives one of the police detectives a bottle of brandy out of the bag. At the end of the episode, he laments having to go back to his ordinary life, and wishes he could be Santa every year. Which of course leads to a Rod Serling type of ending where the camera pans to show a sleigh appearing, pulled by reindeer, upon which Mr. Corwin boards the sleigh and rides away.

mRNA COVID Vaccine Technology Wins 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman win this year’s Nobel Prize in Medicine for their mRNA vaccine discoveries that made the COVID vaccines possible

Karikó and Weissman first published their seminal work on mRNA vaccines in 2005 when they worked together at the University of Pennsylvania. Their research overcame major obstacles to the use of in-vitro mRNA (synthetic) technology, such as the inflammatory response by the body that involves the production of harmful cytokines.

“What’s important here I think is that vaccines can be developed so fast, and this was as we just heard, largely due to improvements in technology and this basic discovery that allowed this,” Gunilla Karlsson-Hedestam, a member of the 2023 Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine, said at this morning’s announcement.

Prayer for my unhealthy parents

Over the course of 20 years, I have lost and maintained a loss of over 150+ lbs. It may be more but, at one point, I was so heavy the scale stopped working so not 100% sure. I went from size 26 to current size 8. I try to be a good example and, despite my achievement, work hard to improve further as I would like to lose a further 40 lbs or so.... again, not sure, due to excess skin etc what is real weight and what isn't and I'm very short!

Anyway, I have swapped places with my parents who used to be slimmer than me but are now near 300 lbs. My dad can't walk and my mom has a host of health issues.

Leading by example isn't working at all and I feel that my parents are embarrassed or just think I'm some sort of special case that can't apply to their situation.

Despite showing them in real time what changes can do, even if the starting point seems overwhelming, I can't seem to encourage them to walk, lift or change the way they eat so I'm at a loss as to how to help.

Can you please pray for them with me? I don't want to lose hope even if they have........thanks.

HELP To delete account

I came to the forum a bit ago but I don’t really feel like any thing is helping at all. Situation hopeless. No end in sight. I definitely do not belong here. I have zero people to talk to about what’s really going on and I can’t post it all in a forum. And I don’t even know why I came here in the first place. Maybe I thought things would be different, but they’re not. Best thing is to have my account deleted. Is there anybody that can do this? I couldn’t find anyone else to ask so I’m posting it here. Hopefully somebody will see this and just delete my account. Thanks.

Pet Reincarnated?

I have a pet dog that died almost 10 years ago and a week before my birthday. Missed her dearly, she was my best friend.

Couple of months ago, I saw her in a dream. It was her except in slightly different colors. Same typical Malinoise (German Shepherd) colors but without the white spots and her claws, instead of being transparent, her claws was black in the dream. She was young again. I was playing with her in that dream. A really nice and happy dream because my late dad was also there.

Last month I finally visited a cousin out in the countryside. She had invited me to her house so many times already but couldn't due to problems and commitments until finally, I decided to go.

She had around 10 dogs in her house but only saw 5 who greeted us when we arrived.

After two days in her house, I saw one of her dogs I hadn't seen since I got to her house. It was the same dog in my dream! A young Malinoise-looking and colored dog with no white spots and had black claws!

I approached the dog slowly at first and she began wagging her tail. The other dogs didn't, all barked me at first but didn't take long to become friendly.

As I got even closer she fell on her back and still wagging and started panting in excitement. I started rubbing her belly and she started play-biting my finger.

The other dogs didn't behave the same way, though they went rushing to me to get a head rub but none fell down on their back and as the other dogs got closer, "my" dog start chasing and biting them away, she's smaller than the other dogs and wanted my undivided attention.

Here's the shocker, the last day I saw my original dog alive, she also fell on her back and kept on wagging her tail and won't come back up. She don't usually do it but seemingly begging me to stay and not leave (to work in the Middle East).

The next few days, the new dog just wanted to seek me out and play chase with me. I also played chase with my original dog A LOT and play-biting was also her thing! But it was me who initiated the chase but with the new dog, the roles have reversed.

My cousin tells me that dog is extremely shy and potentially dangerous to strangers, yet somehow, strangely, behaved quite different around me. Not shy but rather excited.

I am happy. I truly believed it was my old dog we had reunited and happy to see her and also doing quite well.

Yet I should have been much happier yet somehow, my emotions are not as sensitive anymore. I feel like a part of me has died from all the trauma I've been through since. Just to make it clear, I didn't go to Middle East as a soldier. I went there as an office assistant in a civilian company. Back home is where I had PTSD.

Yet, these could all be symbolic from the dream to the actual witnessing of exactly the same events in my dream - reuniting with my dead dog who is alive again in a better place (my cousin's place is literally 10x better than ours!)

Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 4:30-32 ESV

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

1. What does it mean to “grieve the Holy Spirit of God”?
2. In what ways might we grieve the Holy Spirit?
3. What things need to be put away from us? How?
4. How are we to treat other people?

And I am going to refer back to chapter one so that we know who “we” are here. For we are not those who merely make a confession of Christ as Savior and Lord of our lives. We are not those who just make a one-time profession of faith in Jesus Christ but who then continue in deliberate and habitual sin while claiming that God’s grace covers it all. The ones being addressed here are the saints of God who are faithful in Christ Jesus, and a saint is one who is living a holy life different from the world because becoming like Christ.

And in chapter two we read that we are those who were (past) dead in our trespasses and sins in which we once (past) walked (in conduct, in practice), in which we once (past) were following the course of this world, and Satan, the devil, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience. Among them we once (past) lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were (past) by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But all that is to be past, not present.

These are those who were sealed for the day of redemption, not those who merely gave lip service to the Lord Jesus while continuing in deliberate and habitual sin against the Lord and against their fellow humans. For the grace of God, which is bringing us salvation, is training us to renounce (say “No” to) ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we wait for our Lord’s return. For Jesus Christ gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works (see Titus 2:11-14).

Also, Jesus Christ said that to come after him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin and to self) and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to our old lives of living in sin and for self, we will lose them for eternity. But if for the sake of Christ we deny self, die daily to sin, and follow him in obedience, then we have eternal life in him. For he also said that not everyone who says to him, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one DOING the will of God the Father who is in heaven (see Luke 9:23-26 and Matthew 7:21-23).

So, when we who were crucified with Christ in death to sin, and who were raised with him to walk in newness of life in him, no longer as slaves to sin, but as slaves to God and to his righteousness – when we return to living in sin and for self and to following after the ways of the world and not after the ways of God, it grieves the Holy Spirit of God. It is much like when a person’s spouse cheats on him/her with another and has thus committed adultery. It grieves the spouse who has been cheated on, and it hurts!

It is that whole feeling of betrayal. For when Jesus Christ, who is God, the second person of our triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – shed his blood for us on that cross it was to buy us back for God (to redeem us) out of our lives of living in sin and for self so that we will now honor God with our lives. For he died that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. And he died that we might live for him, and no longer for ourselves, and so we would no longer be slaves to sin but to righteousness.

[1 Peter 2:24; 2 Corinthians 5:15; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Romans 6:1-23]

And this is why we are given all these instructions in Ephesians 4, and some in Ephesians 5, with regard to the things in our lives that we are to put away from us, and with regard to the things that we are to embrace and to put into practice instead of us still living like we did before. But this isn’t just about grieving the Holy Spirit, for the Scriptures are filled with warnings to professing Christians that if sin is their practice (their habit), and if obedience to the Lord and to his commands are not their practice, they will not inherit eternal life with God, regardless of what their lips profess.

So, all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander, et al, are to be put away from us. We must say “No” to these things, and in the power of God we must stop doing what is wrong and to start doing what is right, in practice. And we are now to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave us. We are not to be those who deliberately and habitually sin against God and against our fellow humans, for if that is how we live, we will not inherit eternal life with God.

Oh, to Be Like Thee, Blessed Redeemer

Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm, 1897
Music by W. J. Kirkpatrick, 1897

Oh, to be like Thee! blessèd Redeemer,
This is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

Oh, to be like Thee! full of compassion,
Loving, forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting,
Seeking the wandering sinner to find.

O to be like Thee! lowly in spirit,
Holy and harmless, patient and brave;
Meekly enduring cruel reproaches,
Willing to suffer others to save.

O to be like Thee! while I am pleading,
Pour out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love;
Make me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,
Fit me for life and Heaven above.

Oh, to be like Thee! Oh, to be like Thee,
Blessèd Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

The 12th amendment

I've just read an old book review article about a book on Aaron Burr, an interesting US political character from the 18th/19th century. Apparently before the 12th amendment you would have president Biden and vice president Trump etc. Is that correct? Obviously the process leading up to the vote would be different so it's only hypothetically possible. Would a reduction in political partisanship be a good thing?

Understanding "Sukkot" or the "Feast of Tabernacles" (Lev 23:33-44)

vi) 33 Adonai said to Moshe, 34 “Tell the people of Yisrael, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of Sukkot for seven days to Adonai. 35 On the first day there is to be a holy convocation; do not do any kind of ordinary work. 36 For seven days you are to bring an offering made by fire to Adonai; on the eighth day you are to have a holy convocation and bring an offering made by fire to Adonai; it is a day of public assembly; do not do any kind of ordinary work.

37 “‘These are the designated times of Adonai that you are to proclaim as holy convocations and bring an offering made by fire to Adonai — a burnt offering, a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, each on its own day — 38 besides the Shabbats of Adonai, your gifts, all your vows and all your voluntary offerings that you give to Adonai.

39 “‘But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered the produce of the land, you are to observe the festival of Adonai seven days; the first day is to be a complete rest and the eighth day is to be a complete rest. (40) On the first day you are to take choice fruit, palm fronds, thick branches, and river willows, and celebrate in the presence of Adonai your God for seven days. (41) You are to observe it as a feast to Adonai seven days in the year; it is a permanent regulation, generation after generation; keep it in the seventh month. (42) You are to live in sukkot for seven days; every citizen of Yisrael is to live in a sukkah, (43) so that generation after generation of you will know that I made the people of Yisrael live in sukkot when I brought them out of the land of Egypt; I am Adonai your God.’”

(44) Thus Moshe announced to the people of Yisrael the designated times of Adonai.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

So, we ask ourselves, what is this festival all about? Many might think; "This is a Jewish festival, for the Jewish people" yet when we read verse 37, it reads; "these are the designated times of ADONAI" These are God's Holy convocations, it was just announced first to the people of Israel. These are the fall festivals that symbolize the second coming of Yeshua/Jesus. Of course we do not sacrifice animals like before in ancient times, because Yeshua/Jesus was the "ultimate" and "sacrifice Lamb of God".

This year, Sukkot, or the "Feast of Tabernacles" started on Friday evening, the 29th of September, and this festival will continue for 7 days, and on the 8th day, (October 7th) will be a special time for rejoicing in the Torah/Bible. Praising God and giving thanks that we have HIS Word in our midst.

This is a time when we celebrate the harvest of the fruits of trees. During the time of Passover, it was the harvest time for Barley, then on Pentecost or Shavuot, it was the wheat harvest time, and now during Sukkot, it is time to harvest the fruits of trees and vines, such as grapes, olives, dates, figs, apples, oranges, etc.

It is a time to build or spend time in temporary shelters called "Sukkot" or just "huts" (the Israelites lived in tents). It is the time to remember how the people of Israel used to live. Now, not all can do this, if there is no space on property or those who live in flats or apartments, it would be kind of difficult, but one can still take time to study the WORD of God. Just like many people will put out a manger with baby Jesus, Joseph, and Mary, the animals, during Christmas. One could take some small sturdy branches from trees, put them together to form a square, and then cover 4 sides with leaves and plants, leaving the front part open. Inside one could put fruit, could be artificial or real.

This is just a suggestion. It symbolizes this time of harvest blessings that God has given us at this time. The time of Thanksgiving by the Pilgrims when they came to the New World in 1620, was celebrated in 1621, and the "Thanksgiving" celebration was fashioned after Sukkot.

It is customary to make "Lulav" as stated in verse (40) using those plants and fruit. The "Etrog" is a lemon-like fruit that grows in Israel, yet many people just use large yellow lemons. the word ETROG is the acronym for "Emunah" (faith) "Teshuvah" (repentance) "Refuah" (healing) "Ge-ulah" (redemption)

The "Lulav" itself is the tip of a date palm frond. But many people just use a palm branch if a date palm frond cannot be found. The Word "LuLav" can be symbolized as "to him" "heart" (my). "To Him (God) I give my heart"

We have the "Hadas" or "leafy branches from a myrtle tree" or any "leafy" tree if one doesn't have a myrtle tree around. The leaves resemble "eyes"
yet there are many leaves that resemble "eyes" in their shapes. These symbolize "vision" and "insight"

We have the "Aravah" or "branches of a willow tree" These can symbolize humility, also, victory over the enemy. All these are wrapped together to form a Boquete. During the ceremony, this Boquete is "waved" from up to down, from right, to left, front, and behind, symbolizing the blessings of God that come from Heaven to Earth, to bless all nations with harvest blessings, nations in the East, the West, the North, and South.

When we look at this from a Messianic view, Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) is the "First Fruits" in Resurrection, who ascended to Heaven from Earth, and will return from Heaven to Earth and will bless all nations in all directions of the earth with his presence during 1000 years.

During this festival time, Jerusalem was all lit up with 75-foot poles with oil lamps on top, lighting all of Jerusalem and the towns around the area. This was when Jesus stated; "I am the Light of the World" (John 8:12) " because he was there at that festival. On the 8th day, the Great Day of the Feast, the Levite priests brought up water from the Pool of Siloam and poured out the water on the altar in the temple in a ritual. This was when Yeshua stated: "I am the Living Water" (John 7:37)

There is so much more, but I'll leave it here for now. May your understanding of God's Word be blessed, especially during this time.

FOR ME

I have been under a lot of stress the last few months and I just can't take much -- more of it.

If anyone here has any encouragement in the form of Bible Verses please share so I have something to keep going.

With this stress it's taken a serious toll on my marriage as well so ... keep us in

I don't know if I need to confess this to my friends

So, right before my ex and I broke up (like, a week before), we crossed some pretty significant boundaries, physically speaking. We didn't go "all the way," but we did do some significant and sinful things.

I told my ladies small group about it (it was me and 3 other ladies my age). My roommate at the time is part of that group, and when I was mentioning how we'd sinned, I was vague but I added "You're not going to have another roommate in 9 months," essentially trying to say that we didn't go "all the way." But then on another day we met, later, I mentioned being worried about being pregnant (because I was concerned about a .01% chance that what we did could have gotten me pregnant).

And based on what my roommate said to me, trying to console me, I think it's possible she thinks we went all the way. I think it's possible the other girls think we went all the way. And I want to clear the air because it's not just my reputation on the line, it's my ex's, too. I don't care so much about what people think of me, but I want to make sure I'm clear about other people.

Granted, this all happened a few months ago. This week will likely be our last time meeting as a group, due to some changes. So I've been feeling like i need to clear the air and make sure they all know what didn't happen.

At the same time, I do have some OCD tendencies, and one of them is a confession compulsion.

I'd be interested in seeing what people's thoughts are on this. Thanks!

Education Sec. Blasts Parents Who Act ‘Like They Know What’s Right for Kids’

President Biden’s education secretary is telling the media that the state knows what’s best for children

President Biden’s education secretary is telling the media that the state knows what’s best for children — and parents don’t. In an Associated Press interview on Friday, Miguel Cardona spoke to reporters about the present state of education in America, noting the controversy surrounding the subject and saying, “I’ve never seen it where it is now. There was civility, we could disagree, we could have healthy conversations around what’s best for kids.” He compared the days when educators and parents cooperated to do what’s “best for kids,” contrasting that against the situation today, when parents protest at school board meetings.

He claimed, “I respect differences of opinion.” But Cardona followed that statement by saying, “I don’t have too much respect for people that are misbehaving in public and then acting as if they know what’s right for kids.” He added, “There’s a team that’s fighting for kids and there’s a team that’s fighting against kids.”

Meg Kilgannon, senior fellow for Education Studies at Family Research Council told The Washington Stand, “The arrogance of these comments captures almost perfectly the arrogance that parents face when they try to have any kind of impact on the public education system. Before Cardona even answers the question, he is sure to remind everyone that he’s been in education for 25 years and also has a lot of schooling but he’s too humble to remind us of exactly how much. The implication is that he’s the adult in the room and we should trust him.”

Yet Another Orthodox Metal Band.

Sorry for bugging you guys so much, but I thought maybe some of the Orthodox folks would be interested in this band. This kind of music is not for the faint of heart! So keep that in mind even though this is definitely my kind of music.

This is a song about the Eucharist. The vocalist who wrote the song is of the Evangelical Orthodox tradition (Europe has a lot of weird denominations).

Here's the song, which is called "Wings of Death".

Movie review podcasts

I’ve always been a big movie guy so a few years back I decided to try to start my own podcast for reviewing movies and tv shows.

My first friend I asked never seemed all that interested and was always too busy to keep up with it.

And the other guy who is a friend of a friend always wanted to do horror movies, which I’m not a fan of. Unfortunately I could never find anyone else who was a good fit. And my podcast has been pretty much dead in the water.

It’s hard to find good movie podcasts out there that don’t either A) swear constantly or B) just talk about horror movies.

Does anyone here have their own movie review podcast or have some good recommendations?

This was just amazing...

I havent talked about this for over a year but I want to share this story to bless other people going through the same thing. Last year I had to be hospitalized for three weeks because I had a blood clot in my right leg, both lungs, and most concerning of all my heart. I didn't know this at the time but apparently the blood clot in my heart was over 12 inches long. I had to immediately be brought down from New York to New Hampshire for emergency surgery. I was VERY scared that i was going to die.

I should have died, I was dying and yet for some reason, it wasn't my time to go home yet. Get this. I was put under for a good 5 hours before they started the surgery. They could tell that I was nervous and they told me to relax but I couldn't until I fell asleep and woke up 6 hours later. When I woke up a nurse was in my hospital room and I asked her how the surgery went.

She was like "get this, you're not going to believe this but they couldn't find the blood clot in your heart and they checked for it for about an hour and it's well... it's gone,"

I started to freak out again and I said "so they cut me open for nothing?" And she said "no they didn't cut you open they were looking for the blood clot before they started the surgery and well... it's gone. God healed you. The doctors are baffled as to how this could have happened and they're going to try to think of some scientific way to explain this but. God healed you."

I couldn't believe it. I was stunned when I told my wife she didn't believe me until they called her and told her. About 2 hours after I woke up a pastor visited me because I was in the ICU and he was visiting everyone in the ICU that wanted to talk to him. I got to talking to him asking him whether or not God loves me and I broke down and cried. He told me "I can't say I know nothing about you," but I got to talking to him for about 30 minutes and the pastor asked me all kinds of questions like "how did you become a Christian?" "I'm reformed and follow the teachings of Calvin too which is why I don't want to be so quick to tell somebody that God loves them. He abhors the wicked."

Eventually he asked me how I got to be in the ICU and i said "you're not going to believe this." And I told him everything the nurse had just told me and I was like "God healed me." And he paused for a moment and w a s like "well there's your answer." And I was like "huh?" And he was like "God healed you. It takes a great amount of love to make God heal in supernatural ways like that. He loves you." Then he left to visit the next room in thee ICU.

I tell you, that made me cry. My nurse made me cry. All this time I thought I was hated by God and he not only saved my life but he saved my life on multiple occasions in miraculous ways. This morning mh pastor got to talking about how we belong to the family of God and how Jesus isn't afraid to call us brother or sister. It reminded me of the time the pastor visited me in the ICU and i just bawled my eyes out.

I'm living proof that God still heals today. I should have died but God saved my life.

About 5 months later I had to follow up with a cardiologist and he couldn't believe that I didn't suffer a stroke or at the worst, died. He told me straight out 99% of people that were in my situation suffered a stroke later. I've seen hundreds of cases where people have died. "You're the only case I've seen that walked away from a coronary thrombosis, DVT, and pulmonary embolism completely unscathed". The doctors in New Hampshire also couldn't believe it yet and probably to this day have no clue how it happened and how my heart healed itself. They checked me for several days for a stroke. There was none. I just needing physical therapy for a while afterwards and have to walk with a cane now. Praise the Lord!

I hope you gain inspiration from this story. I've got plenty of them lol.

Prayers for a Christian rehab program

So my home church is connected with a real, strong, authentic Christian-based rehabilitation program that houses over 100 men at a time, many of whom are addicts from off the street and out of prison in some cases. This program has been around for years and I can personally attest by my slight involvement that many lives have been turned around, cleaned up, and many people have been converted to Christ due to this ministry. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord.

Unfortunately recently, the owner is now being audited or something like that, to ensure that the running of such a program is in line with government regulations. Richard, the founder, is dealing with a person who is completely unsympathetic to this cause, who is making things difficult and is intent on putting a strain on the program's finances. The program is nonprofit and apparently will be receiving less support due to the audit.

I am asking for prayers for this important ministry that has led many, many men to faith in Christ. Please pray that the program receives funding. Please pray that the auditors are fair in their assessments of said program. And please pray for the salvation of the men who cycle through the program. In Christ's name. Thank you

It’s time to admit it: Black Lives Matter hysteria made fools of us all

In court this week, one of its organisers admitted fraud, after £30,000 in donations from Black Lives Matter supporters went missing.
