  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hillary Clinton wants to deprogram MAGA?

Call no one fool..... except for?

The bible says call no man fool, and yet fool is in the bible over 99 times.
Is the ancient translation different? Is the word it uses for fool in greek/hebrew a different word for fool when it says call no man fool than it is the other 99 times it is mentioned?

Does this simply mean don't call anyone fool to their FACE. Or does it mean don't call anyone a name with 'hatred' in your heart? or is it a double standard? Does God hold the right to call people fool, and WE don't ?

Judge OKs Oklahoma’s ban on sex-change surgeries, drugs for children

OKLAHOMA CITY — A federal judge in Tulsa declined to stop a new law from taking effect that makes it a felony crime for health care workers in Oklahoma to provide gender-transition medical care to young transgender people.

Question about Luke 6:25

So, Luke 6:25; can someone explain?
If someone is happy with their life does that mean that they will be woeful later? For example I am well fed, will hunger later?
I am “rich” in multiple ways…have I already received my comfort?

It worries me. I hope I make sense.

God bless you all. Also, my husband and I just had our baby. Glory to God.

Trump allegedly revealed sensitive info about nuclear submarines, according to reports

Pratt recounted that he told Trump during their conversation that Australia should buy submarines from the U.S., and an excited Trump "leaning" toward Pratt as if to be discreet, told him two pieces of information about American submarines, ABC reported, citing the anonymous sources.

You're going to hear more and more fake news, like never before, in order to distract away from Joe (Joe just reversed course on a border wall) and to smear President Trump. Elitists are furious at people who don't automatically vote for Democrats. If they can get away with electing Joe, when Joe has created so many disasters, they can get away with anything.

How Does One Put A Pre-Trib Rapture Before “The Last Day”?

We know from 1 Thess. that the rapture takes place almost simultaneously when Jesus raises His physically dead believers up out of their graves. All those who are in their graves are actually caught up first, then those who are still alive in their physical bodies at that time, and on that day get caught up right after them.

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

So we can clearly see that the rapture takes place on the day of the resurrection of all His saints who have died(as far as their physical existence is concerned) in Him.

So when did Jesus tell us several times that He is going to “raise the dead”?

Jhn 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Jhn 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Jhn 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Jhn 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Jhn 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Wow, this must be too simple for a lot of people to understand?

Hillary Clinton calls for "Formal Deprogramming" of Trump supporters

In Hillary's latest Orwellian recommendation, no doubt for the government to administer.....

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton railed against supporters of former President Trump during a new CNN interview, comparing those who still support the former president after the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection to members of a cult.

“Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members,” she said in a clip released late Thursday.

“And sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure,” Clinton added. “He’s only in it for himself.”

Seeking Understanding on the Emphasis of Certain Sins in Political and Religious Discourse

I am having a difficult time deciding where I should post this query. I've decided to put it here because I believe that this question of mine is truly about behavior. Thank you for reading this - it took me some time to put this question together. I have no angle here. I am trying to understand and I hope you can help me.

I am a straight, married, man that was brought up in the Episcopal church. However I find myself now slightly agnostic. I am perplexed by a palpable paradox within certain religious and political circles. Specifically, I'm puzzled by the seemingly disproportionate scrutiny and condemnation directed at the LGBTQ+ community, which seems misaligned with the broader teachings of love, tolerance, and forgiveness I associated with Christianity.

This scrutiny seems particularly jarring when comparing the attention and condemnation allotted to different perceived 'sins'. For instance, why is there a pronounced emphasis on opposing homosexuality, a matter that concerns a modest portion of the population, while other notable transgressions, such as adultery and dishonesty, appear to be downplayed or overlooked? The latter of which can be exemplified by the substantial religious support for figures like former President Trump, whose tenure and personal life have been marked by instances that ostensibly conflict with Christian ethics.

As someone who strives to live with integrity and empathy, acknowledging my own shortcomings and practicing grace and patience toward others, I find the apparent selective moral outrage disconcerting. The emphasis on the condemnation of one specific group, despite other arguably non-virtuous behaviors being exhibited prominently in public and political spheres, confounds me.

My genuine question to this community: How is it that such fervent opposition to LGBTQ+ individuals coexists with a willingness to seemingly disregard or excuse other behaviors considered sinful within the same moral framework? This incongruence partly steers my skepticism toward organized religion, and so, I sincerely seek your insight and understanding on this matter.

Let's talk about Joe Biden's successes!

I'll start with this one.

He has successfully followed the law regarding money allocated for the southern border wall, and this will likely bring in Conservatives to vote for him in the next election when they see he isn't so totally against the idea of having a wall on the border that he's willing to "waive" 26 federal laws in order to comply with the one law that requires that he use the money as intended.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden on Thursday defended his administration’s decision to waive 26 federal laws in South Texas to allow for construction of roughly 20 miles of additional border wall, saying he had no choice but to use the Trump-era funding for the barrier to stop illegal migration from Mexico.

SUCCESS!!!

Is Death Final?

There seems to be some confusion about whether or not death is final. Since the Bible teaches a resurrection this response will deal with the alleged contradictions with scriptures which say that death is final and have some brief comments upon some of the verses given to support resurrection as well.

The following scriptures are given to support the interpretation that death is final.

Joshua 23:14 simply states that Joshua was going to die, it says nothing about death being final.

Job 7:9 - There are two possible meanings when Job said this; one is that from the perspective of his contemporaries his death would be somewhat final in this lifetime, the other possibility is that he was pointing out that the resurrection was out of his control. It wasn't up to him, and only a possibility. One thing is sure, Job believed in the possibility of resurrection. (Job 14:13-15)

Job 14:10, 12 - It has already been established that Job believed in the resurrection, but verse 10 is important to note because there is some variation in translation. The Masoretic Hebrew text found in Codex Leningrad, as presented by the Biblia Hebraica, by Kittel, Kahle, Alt and Eissfeldt, Privilegierte Wurttembergische Bibelanstalt, Stuttgart, seventh to ninth ed., 1951-55, and Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, by Elliger and Rudolph, Deutsche Bibelstiftung, Stuttgart, 1977, reads "Where is he?" where the Septuagint, third and second cent. BCE, (A. Rahlfs, Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft, Stuttgart, 1935) and Syriac Peshitta, Christian Aram., fifth cent. CE, S. Lee, London, 1826, reprint by United Bible Societies, 1979 reads "he is no more." So where the KJV reads "he is no more" other translations like the Douay reads "where is he?" One thing to keep in mind when considering these verses of Job as possible contradictions regarding a resurrection is that Job, at the time, was doubting his being approved of by God and so may have wondered about his own possible resurrection, even though in the next few verses he expresses a belief in the possibility.

Job 20:7 - Here even the KJV asks Where is he? (see above)

Psalm 6:5 simply states that when we die, we are no longer conscious of anything. We can't do anything. King Hezekiah expressed a similar sentiment, in fact it is common throughout the Bible. (Ecclesiastes 9:5; Isaiah 38:17-19; Genesis 3:19; Psalm 30:9; 88:10)

Psalm 31:17; 88:5; 115:17 - David refers to the wicked who are in contrast to the faithful, the faithful having the possibility of a resurrection to eternal life whereas the wicked do not.

Ecclesiastes 3:19 - This verse simply states that like animals, humans die. It doesn't say that it is final.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 - The KJV says there is no reward during death, some translations use the word wages rather than reward. The verse is trying to convey the vanity of materialism. Sort of like the modern day expression "You can't take it with you." It doesn't imply that death is final in the sense of there not being a resurrection.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 - This verse is an extension of the verse above. The book is talking about the vanity of an ungodly life as temporal.

Isaiah 26:14 - This verse is a reference to the wicked, and is a specific prophecy regarding Babylon, the captors of Judah during that time and who later fell to the Medes and Persians in 539 BCE.

Isaiah 38:18 simply states that when we die, we are no longer conscious of anything. See Psalm 6:5 above.

The following scriptures are given to support the interpretation that death isn't final and there will be a resurrection from the dead. Though the Bible teaches the resurrection, I do want to comment on some of the scriptures given.

1 Kings 17:22; 2 Kings 4:32-35; 13:21; Luke 7:12-15; John 11:39-44 all convey a temporary resurrection. All of the people raised from the dead in these verses died again sometime later. Those resurrected by Elijah, Elisha, Jesus and the apostles were, in part, a demonstration of the possibility of resurrection.

Daniel 12:1; Matthew 25:46; 9:24-25; Mark 5:39-42; Luke 20:37; John 5:28-29; Acts 26:23; 1 Corinthians 15:16, 52; Revelation 20:12-13 all convey the idea of a general resurrection of the dead. Of the faithful to life everlasting or of the unrighteous to either life everlasting or eternal destruction. (Acts 24:15)

Isaiah 26:19 - Where the KJV says "my dead body" some translations read "a corpse of mine" from the Hebrew Eveleth. It is singular, but likely in a collective sense. The Septuagint reads "those in the memorial tombs" and the Vulgate reads "my killed ones."

Ezekiel 37:12 is more likely a figurative resurrection of the Jewish nation when 42,360 people of all tribes of Israel and some 7,500 non-Israelites seized their opportunity to repopulate Judah. (See Isaiah 66:14; Revelation 11:11; Ezra 1:1-4; 2:64-65)

Matthew 27:52-53 - Matthew was the only one to mention dead people emerging from their graves upon Jesus' death. It is assumed that these resurrected dead were walking around. The omission of the dead people emerging from the graves by the other writers does not, of course, mean anything. Matthew was the first gospel to be written. In De viris inlustribus (Concerning Illustrious Men), chapter III, Jerome says: "Matthew, who is also Levi, and who from a publican came to be an apostle, first of all composed a Gospel of Christ in Judaea in the Hebrew language and characters for the benefit of those of the circumcision who had believed." So this (Matthew having been the first gospel) might be a reason for the others having not included the dead people emerging from their graves.

At Matthew 27:52-53 the Greek egeiro means simply raised up rather than resurrected back to life, resurrection in Greek is anastasis and in addition to this "they" (meaning the bodies that were walking around) is a pronoun, and in Greek all pronouns have gender and "they" is masculine whereas "bodies" (the bodies that were lifted up) is in the neuter. They are not the same. The passage is saying that an earthquake caused buried corpses to be thrown up out of the ground and there were other people, who were alive, walking around who seen this happen. This is not so unusual as it may seem. It has been reported as having happened in modern history, in Ecuador in 1949 and again in El Tiempo, Bogota, Colombia, July 31, 1962 where 200 corpses were thrown out of their tombs by a violent earth tremor.

Luke 9:30 - Not a resurrection of Moses and Elijah. Jesus referred to the transfiguration as a vision. (Matthew 17:9) Some critics have called it a dream but Peter, James and John didn't likely have the same dream. It was foretold that a prophet like Moses and Elijah would be sent, and in this vision the "appearance" or representation of them signified this. (Deuteronomy 18:15-19; Acts 3:19-20; Malachi 4:5-6; Luke 1:17)

The Biblically Mandated Use of Hands Corporate Worship

Do people in your church argue about whether lifting your hands in worship is too demonstrative or too Charismatic?
"I desire that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands WITHOUT ARGUMENT (1 Timothy 2:8)."

Do you lift up your hands when you pray just as Paul wants you to do?

Do you recognize the biblical principle that lifting your hands in prayer can release your inhibitions and deepen your longing for God?
"I stretch out my hands to You; my soul thirsts for You like a parched land (Psalm 143:6).

To incite more passionate worship, does your church encourage people to clap for joy and SHOUT praises to God?
"Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with loud songs of joy. For the Lord, the Most High, is awesome (Psalm 47:1-2)."

How does your church justify ignoring biblical precedent in its preference for more subdued and inhibited worship?

Donald, Jesus and child sexual exploitation

A Twitter influencer posted a drawing of Jesus next to Donald in the courtroom. That influencer had his account suspended for posting child sexual exploitation. Elon saw fit to resotre his account.

But wait, there's more! The artist is an Australian who's doing a 129 years in prison for rape, sex trafficking and sexual abuse of children as young as 18 months.

Donald "retruthed" the drawing. Imagine if President Biden (or any Democrat) had done the same thing.

Trump Endorses Jim Jordan for Speaker (Scalise gets conference nod, but withdraws!)

Donald Trump has endorsed staunch conservative Congressman Jim Jordan's bid to become the next Speaker of the House of Representatives.
"He will be a GREAT Speaker of the House," Mr Trump said on Friday. "[He] has my complete & total endorsement!"

But he could struggle to win the the support of centrist Republicans and, if he needs Democratic support, he will likely receive none. Candidates need a simple majority of 218 votes to secure the position.

[It will be interesting to see what Trump's influence will do. Without the endorsement, I doubt Jordan could get more than 50 votes on a first ballot. The House Freedom Caucus and a few random toadies.]

Prayer

"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." Eph 3

This isn't about ancestor worship.

Some believe Apostle Paul wrote Ephesians about AD 60-61. This prayer for us to glorify Jesus continues. It's encouraging.

FBI Agent Accused Of Lying About Censoring Hunter Biden Laptop Dodges Testimony Before Jim Jordan, Source Confirms

FBI agent Elvis Chan, who appeared to lie under oath about his role in censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story, failed to show up Thursday to his scheduled testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, a source familiar confirmed to the Daily Caller.

The Judiciary Committee subpoenaed Chan on Sept. 21 to appear for an interview Thursday after he previously failed to attend a scheduled interview, the Daily Caller previously reported. Chan was nowhere to be found at the time the interview was scheduled, a source familiar told the Daily Caller. Elvis Chan gave a deposition in November 2022 as part of the ongoing censorship lawsuit against the Biden administration and stated he was “confident” he did not participate in any meetings related to Hunter Biden besides the one on Oct. 14, 2020.

COMPLETELY FALSE.

He Sets Up Salvation

Isaiah 26:1-4 ESV

“In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
“We have a strong city;
he sets up salvation
as walls and bulwarks.
Open the gates,
that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in.
You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”

When I first began to really study the book of Isaiah, in full context, I was struck by how much of what it teaches are prophecies about Jesus Christ and the Messianic age. And I believe this is one of those, even though some of these prophecies had dual fulfillments. So I am not discounting that this might not have had another fulfillment. Yet, this describes the people of God under the New Covenant, and the church at the end of the age.

For, under the Old Covenant, the temple of God was a physical building, and inside of that building was the Holy of Holies which housed the Ark of the Covenant. That is where the high priest met with God once a year and made sacrifice for the sins of his own self, first, and then for the sins of the people. And Jerusalem, which used to be “the holy city” had physical walls around it, and God’s people were a physical nation of people.

But under the New Covenant, we enter into salvation via Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins on that cross, which then did away with the priestly sacrifices once a year, for he became the final and the only complete sacrifice for the sins of the people of the world. After that no more animal sacrifices were required, for Jesus had paid it all. And now we, the people of God, are that holy city, the city without walls. And our salvation is our protection and our defense.

Now we who believe in Jesus Christ with God-given and God-persuaded faith in Christ Jesus are the temple of God, and God, in the person of the Holy Spirit, lives within us. We are the house of God, not buildings built by human hands. The little ditty that we learned as children is not the correct depiction of the church. For the church is not a physical building with a steeple on top and the people are inside the building. We, the people, are the building!!

And the physical city of Jerusalem, once called “the Holy City,” is now of Hagar, the slave woman, and equal with other people of other nations who do not believe in Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior of their lives. For she is still in slavery with her children. And we who believe in Jesus Christ, whether Jew or Gentile by physical birth, are God’s chosen people and heirs of the promise of God that he gave to his people Israel.

[John 8:18-19,38-47; Romans 9:4-8; Romans 11:17-25; Galatians 3:16,26-29; Galatians 4:22-31; Ephesians 2:11-18; Ephesians 3:6; 1 John 2:22]

Therefore, this city being spoken of here, the city without physical walls, for which salvation is for her protection and defense, is the Jerusalem that is from above, which is a heavenly Jerusalem, a spiritual nation, the city on the hill which cannot be hidden (see Matthew 5:14-16). We who believe in Jesus Christ with genuine God-persuaded faith in Christ are the city of God and we are the house of God and the temple of God with salvation as our protection.

This city is also the kingdom of God which dwells within the hearts of those who are of genuine God-persuaded faith in Jesus Christ (Luke 17:21), for Jesus Christ is that kingdom, and he did dwell among the people, and he dwells within those who are his followers. And the apostle Paul defined the kingdom of God as “righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” which dwells within those of genuine faith in Christ (Romans 14:17).

Who can enter into this city? Who can receive salvation from sin and eternal life with God? It is not those who give lip service to the Lord while they continue in deliberate and habitual sin against the Lord without conscience. It is those who have been crucified and buried with Christ in death to sin, and who have been raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but as slaves to God (Romans 6:1-23).

It is those who are walking according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh, who are making righteousness their practice, and sin is not their practice. They are those who are walking in obedience to the Lord and to his commands, in practice, though not necessarily in absolute sinless perfection (Romans 8:1-14). And this is not teaching works salvation. This is teaching what the Scriptures teach, if we read them in context, not out of context.

For to trust in the Lord Jesus is not to just make a mere profession or acknowledgment of him, but it involves surrender of our lives to him, and it involves submission to Christ as Lord (owner-master), and it involves us denying self and dying daily to sin and following our Lord in obedience to his commands, in practice, in conduct, as part of our lifestyle. For if sin is what we practice, we will not inherit eternal life with God (Luke 9:23-26).

Isaiah 26:13-14 ESV

“O Lord our God,
other lords besides you have ruled over us,
but your name alone we bring to remembrance.
They are dead, they will not live;
they are shades, they will not arise;
to that end you have visited them with destruction
and wiped out all remembrance of them.”

So, what is the object of our salvation from sin? It is that those things that once ruled over our lives might be put to death so that they no longer have power and control and dominion over our lives. And it is so that our lives will now be surrendered to Jesus Christ to do his will. It does not mean we will be perfect people, but that we will make righteousness our practice, and sin will no longer be what we practice, for Jesus died to set us free from sin.

Refiner’s Fire

By Brian Doerksen

Purify my heart,
let me be as gold and precious silver.
Purify my heart,
let me be as gold, pure gold.

Purify my heart,
cleanse me from within
and make me holy.
Purify my heart,
cleanse me from my sin, deep within.

Refiner's fire,
my heart's one desire
is to be holy;
set apart for You, Lord.
I choose to be holy;
set apart for You, my Master,
ready to do Your will.

Should I be rebaptized in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit (from Jesus' name only)

I was baptized in the name of Jesus only, by someone who is a pentocoast believer, which I don't ascribe to.

I came across this verse in Acts For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus

Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake to not get baptized in using the trinitarian formula.

I don't believe baptism is necessary for salvation - one is saved beforehand and out of obedience, does one get baptized, however, I wonder if I am missing on a deeper level of spiritual baptism by not using the trinitarian formula.

Both formulas are used in acts. I'm just now noticing, when using Jesus name only, it was often or entirely for Jews.

I'm not sure, need some advice.

Is it okay to get rebaptised? Is this pedantic?

I've heard some people say not to get rebaptized. I was hoping there is a consensus one way or the other.

Cheers

Why I am "Non-Denominational"

Here, I would like to outline my general thoughts for why I consider myself Non-Denominational.

The primary reason is that I like to "borrow" from other traditions of Christianity. That means I do not fit nicely into any particular tradition of Christianity.

Here are some of the beliefs I hold which I borrow from other traditions.

I believe the Sign Gifts are ongoing. This comes from Charismatic and Pentecostal traditions.
I believe that an initial conversion is monergistic, yet after conversion, faith is synergistic. I believe this aligns most closely with the Lutheran tradition.
I believe salvation is a process that will continue on into eternity which borrows from Orthodox Christianity.
Along with the last two, I believe a person should be baptized or should at least make an effort to be baptized to be saved.
I believe there should generally be a hierarchy of authority for the church. Perhaps no one person is at the absolute top apart from Christ. My understanding is that the authority that is given is based on the degree of revelation a person has. I believe this view (I do not know if there is even another person let alone a whole tradition who believes the same thing) most closely aligns with Catholicism.
I believe some people who were saved at one point are no longer saved as they have become apostates. This idea is present in many traditions of Christianity. The only ones who disagree with this, AFAIK, are the Reformed.
I believe God is Sovereign. I do not believe God needs to micromanage the universe, but in all that happens, God's will is done. I believe all things glorify God, especially the love of His people. I am a Compatiblist which means I believe nothing prevents you from willing what you want but if you were to rewind the clock and play it again, the same thing would have happened in all cases. So I am NOT an Open Theist.
And, obviously, I believe in the Nicene Creed or I could not post here which many traditions of Christianity believe.

Those are of course some of my beliefs, but I share these just to demonstrate the idea of borrowing from different traditions (which the Bible is my ultimate source of Truth regarding theology).

Man with handgun seeking governor arrested in Wisconsin Capitol, returns with assault rifle

A man illegally brought a handgun into the Wisconsin Capitol, demanding to see Gov. Tony Evers, and returned at night with an assault rifle after posting bail, a spokesperson for the state said Thursday.

A Capitol police officer sits at a desk outside of a suite of rooms that includes the governor’s office, conference room and offices for the attorney general.

The man was taken into custody for openly carrying a firearm in the Capitol, which is against the law, Warrick said. Weapons can be brought into the Capitol if they are concealed and the person has a valid permit. The man arrested did not have a concealed carry permit, Warrick said.

The incident is just the latest in a series of violent threats against public officials.

Evers, a Democrat, was on a hit list of a gunman suspected of fatally shooting a retired county judge at his Wisconsin home in 2022.

Florida judge exonerates Miami teacher fired for refusing to use student’s preferred pronouns

A Florida law judge has ruled in favor of a Miami teacher who was fired for refusing to use a student’s preferred pronouns, calling transgenderism a “new secular faith” in his controversial ruling.

The teacher, Yojary Mundaray, told a student during a 2019 classroom exchange that she would not use their desired pronouns due to her Christian beliefs that “God makes no mistakes.”

“Advocates of transgenderism can be as doctrinaire as religious zealots these days,” he wrote in his decision. “As this case demonstrates, adhering to the traditional view that gender is biologically determined can get a person excommunicated, from a job in this instance.”
