Their first clue that they've been terminated will be when they discover they don't have that access.

That's the portion I meant to quote in response to his suggestion. A company replacing its employees with robots wouldn't be surprised by attempts to sabotage and probably have something in place to catch it or prevent it.

Although, while I was still active duty military (sort of preparing for civilian life afterward) in the 90s, I had a part time job doing weekend backups at the IT center for Kraft Foods. It alarmed me that they'd fire someone and take days to get around to changing the door access code.

I get it, but non-employers know that too. That's why wi-fi or remote devices might rise in popularity.

Many companies began outsourcing HR years ago. As they expressed in this video, HR is really just data manipulation. All jobs that are really just data manipulation can be done by AI.
