A Christian should believe scripture or they would not be Christian. Why are people who say they are Christian so superstitious when it involves demons, devils, and satanic adversaries that are actually idols and thoughts in the heart of evil thinking men?
Maybe because for many Christians their religion is more about "casting out Satan" than it is about Jesus Christ? Why are people who say they are Christian so superstitious when it involves demons, devils, and satanic adversaries that are actually idols and thoughts in the heart of evil thinking men?

Evil is not from a devil, evil is within your own heart for you to decide how to control it. The myth of a satan or devils is disproved by all modern ways of reading the Bible, and from History. Look at what happened to the vagabond Jews, exorcists, who thought they had power to expel demons. Acts 19:13 then look at what happened verse 15 yhey fled out of that house naked and wounded...Satan and assorted fallen angels are real enough as is plainly clear in scripture.
We do not live in a Manichean universe however , the devil compared to God is like a candle compared to the sun.
So we should neither dismiss the existence of evil as some mythical superstition nor exaggerate its significance.
You got it because they are afraid of their own thoughts and need a scapegoatMaybe because for many Christians their religion is more about "casting out Satan" than it is about Jesus Christ?
What does the scripture say? Mark7:21-22 For from within, out of the heart of men, procede vil thoughts...22 wickedness evil eye, foolishness, 23 All thses evil things come from within and defile the man. Heb 3:12 least there be any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the livig God.A Christian should not think that demons, devils, and satanic adversaries are a superstition. Yep. When folks start talking about "exorcising" the demons out of your house or other inanimate objects, they're doing nothing but practicing medieval superstition.
In addition, folks claiming that brain diseases and other mental illnesses are mostly caused by demon possession or attacks are also being superstitious.
