CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please pray for my family. My grandma passed last night, she lived with me and my parents. I was her only granddaughter.

I remember how hard that is with my grandpa...you will be in my prayers.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I was her only granddaughter. She had dementia and hadn't walked since about July or August. She had a bad fall as well in October and got a big bruise on her hand. She passed when I wasn't home.

Ah, just came in to offer thanks for prayers, and realized I didn't ask on the prayer thread as I thought, but when I checked on a member's prayer request thread. I feel badly for the mix-up. I don't at all want to take away from her thread. But I did want to offer my thanks. I decided to put it here where the requests should have gone, because I don't want to further take over her thread.
But here's what I wanted to say ...
Glory to God! And thank you all so much for your prayers!!! From what they were saying, I was very possibly going to have to begin surgery and treatments all over, but the results came back benign this time. Thanks be to God! I've been praying for His will, but I confess that I don't really want to go through all that again, and I want to go back to work and start living life again. With an even greater appreciation for the gift God has given us of life. I am so thankful! One more biopsy to go, but that cancer was an extremely rare one and to have it in two places would be extremely rare. So thank you all so much for your prayers, and I thank God for His answer. God bless you all. Glory to God!!!

I would like to ask humbly for the prayers of the people of this forum for my father, John, who is very ill. We are supposed to go to see his doctor on Wednesday, but judging from how he has been for the past week, I'm not sure he'll be in the necessary condition to even leave his house by that time. He has been sick for a few years now, and I worry that his time may be short if we do not see improvement.
